The defendant needs to go talk with a Victim's Advocate, whether he goes to the police or not; many states offer them at no charge. He doesn't believe that he is a victim of domestic abuse & bears NO GUILT or fault. Healthy people do not handle their anger with the unchained rage of his monstrous abuser! She is a constant ticking bomb; I recognize her evil ways, far too well. He needs to square those facts in his head so he can fully escape, heal & avoid people who are just like her in the future! When my advocate told me that I was a victim (after 40 years of an abusive marriage) I was furious at her, but promised my children I would listen to her & do all she asked of me. The police failed to properly investigate the incident. The plaintiff and the defendant had marks on thier body but only the plaintiff was arrested even though they have photographic evidence of both parties injuries.
This video needs to be shown to students in classes of how deceptive people can be, and how people can use their privilege to manipulate the laws of the justice system. If there were no video tape, the gentleman would have no case.

Not necessarily. He testified that she kept asking him to give her cell back and he wouldn't. If he would have given her cell back she would have called 911 and all the damages might not have occurred. Also he knew there was a security camera in the lot and that's why he didn't assault her in the parking lot. However he assaulted her in the back seat and she went to the ER and submitted a report of her injuries(not including the self inflicted ones)to the judge. However she has to pay for all the damages to his car.
Happened to a friend of mine. His gf and her mom got in a fight, gf (drunk) started pushing and hitting the mother around, he stepped in and intervened, grabbed the gf to tell her to calm down. Gf calls the cops that she got “assaulted” He’s 5’10 she’s 5’0. So of course cops are called, he gets arrested. Yes, charges were dropped later… and you know.. he’s still with her after all this

The interviewer at the end said any guy would have gone after her for hitting the car. He's wrong, because if you're the guy in this situation, your guilt is assumed until evidence shows otherwise, and this case proves it. They just went right in and arrested him when he did nothing at all. So, no... him just waiting for the cops was the best thing for him to do.

The police failed to properly investigate the incident. The plaintiff and the defendant had marks on thier body but only the plaintiff was arrested

This video needs to be shown to students in classes of how deceptive people can be, and how people can use their privilege to manipulate the laws of the justice system. If there were no video tape, the gentleman would have no case.
It's not the laws that are at fault, it's the biases of those that are supposed to be impartial. Humans are imperfect and there will always be mistakes but when one false accusations can destroy a person's reputation and even their livelihood, you know the system is rotten.

Not necessarily. He testified that she kept asking him to give her cell back and he wouldn't. If he would have given her cell back she would have called 911 and all the damages might not have occurred. Also he knew there was a security camera in the lot and that's why he didn't assault her in the parking lot. However he assaulted her in the back seat and she went to the ER and submitted a report of her injuries(not including the self inflicted ones)to the judge. However she has to pay for all the damages to his car.
