To me the plugin emulation sounds harsher in the higher frequencies.

Hi Adam, it‘s actually one of the brightest guitars I‘ve ever played. But it manages not to sound harsh or shrill, it just has a nice balance to the top end.

Yes, I also find them very close.
It‘s just easier to take the pedal to a gig than the Apollo Interface😄Maybe UA could put out a distortion pedal with all their emulations & more.
