Very nice video. My daughter is US citizen but I delivered my son in India due to my health issues. Ppl always ask why did u deliver him in India, he could have got US citizenship. Initially it was hurting but later I started responding them that if God has greater plan for my daughter being an US citizen, even he has greatest plan for my son being an Indian, and I am proud to be an Indian. Now we living in Canada, we have option of changing my Son’s Citizenship but we have not decided of it. Eventually good moral values are important. Very good informative video, thanks both 🙏
I had 2 babies born in USA and I would say delivery in USA is best compared to India Medical infrastructure and quality of medical care in USA is top notch irrespective of metro or small town.Very few Indian hospitals can match US in infrastructure and service Moms get a private room with on call nurses checking every few minutes irrespective of normal or c section ,in india usually a common labour ward is given for normal deliveries pain free delivery options available for normal delivery in US ,as far i know painfree delivery only possible for c sections in India. Cost is on higher side but with good insurance plans overall cost can be less than $2500 for normal deliveries in no metros.with hospital indemnity and FSA and the out of pocket cost can reduced even lesser. Babies get the prestigious Us citizenship and OCI for india.Baby can stay ,study and work forever in US or in India without any visa issues.Best of both worlds.
I had my baby born in India due to very personal reasons. I left the US at 36 weeks pregnancy. I lived in the US for 11 years before that and I was an US Citizen. So, my baby was issued “Consular report of birth of an US Citizen born abroad” by the US Consulate soon after birth followed by US passport.
In India , Sri Ramachandra hospital , porur allows husband in maternity ward. We have to opt for maternity suite package . As you mentioned it’s a great feeling to deliver a baby in-front of husband. It gives strong mental support
On a side note, if us kid (after 18 years) withdrawal the citizen, he/she cannot enter into USA with any visa category. Only way is to get back the US citizen and passport and come back.
I spend only $1200 out of pocket for my wife’s pregnancy, she had C-Section. It really depends on your insurance. In NJ, I am sure you wouldn’t feel any different experience than in India. There are many gynecologists who speak Tamil/Telugu or Hindi and treat like Indian style 😅
@8:33 I think Siblings sponsorship falls under F4 family category which is long wait time for county India , not immediate GC. That’s one of the reason people think to give birth both same country.
Yes. Faster way would be elder child(US born) sponsor immediate relative(IR5) green card for parents and then parents sponsor family based Green card(F2A) to india born child. Both are current right now.

Very nicely brought out prem & arthi. Few points to share 1. Non Indian citizen , the school fees , college fees are too high in Bangalore/Chennai & Delhi ( all major cities) 2) two children by birth it should be American citizen , not combination of Indian & American ( one of friend had two children, one child got admission in US and other one he did put him in USA, that kid developed different thinking and not happy about it) 3) with Singapore or American citizen almost 180 plus countries without visa they can go any country. With Indian citizen hardly few countries ( less then 20) they can go to other country. VISA is compulsory and it is a torture. 4) valaikappu, seemandham,....Diwali, pongal....is important then daddy, mom should return to India sacrificing their salary to Indian salary and live close by ( distance should be less then 500 km ) not even Delhi to Chennai/ mayuram distance.
It all depends on where you wanted to live. My first son is an Indian citizen and second son is an American citizen. However, we entirely migrated to Canada as Permanent Residents so that we have no visa issues and enjoy the same kind of American standard living (You don’t see any difference between the US and Canada trust me!)
Yes sister.. but most of the schools not taking much serious.. they are giving the same fees as citizens not sure about all the schools my area they are following this
Bro if we already got GC , but if planned to give birth in India. Will it be difficult to get child back to USA. With H1B it’s easy to bring dependent but is it same for green card or is there any complications.
The process is not the same.. we need to bring kids through immigrant visa and the process takes time as it is processed only in November and that too only in mumbai. I processed that and it took 10months for us.
Nice informational video. We have 2 boys born in US . My wife was gestational Diabetic . Yes, you were right it was very stressful time once detected . It is really really a very good govt scheme for girls eligible below 10 years and it is so profitable for kids studies and marriage. It is non-taxable think so. (1000rs-1.5 lakh) we can deposit per year for upto 14 years but only applicable to Indian citizens..
$9000 for delivery sounds high.Might be true for high deductible plans.I had a gold low deductible plan through my employer and my overall out of pocket cost was less than $2300.If planning pregnancy in USA make sure to get a good plan with out of packet max not exceeding $5000
For my two kids , they charged $38000 each . But $35000 was covered by insurance each .Even in India nowadays it costs 2 to 3 lak in good hospitals. I would say USA is better
Hi bro Thanks for the information Usa is the costliest country for pregnancy expenses and yes for medical expenses too If we calculate how much we paid for the insurance premium and how much we pay upfront during every visit and ultra sound and so many things the different would be more Apart from cost having baby in usa give other opportunities

Did u get a estimate from the hospital or does the final bill is something that we can never predict? Thanks for all the informative videos 🙂
Your final bill will never be more than your out of pocket maximum per person amount. Any bills for infant upto one month usually covered under mothers insurance. Check you medical insurance plan and you can get basic idea how much maximum your bill will be.
