    My advise as parents they spent their entire money for the boy or girl upto BE or equal some may do PhD or doctorate and further send them to USOrUK for Master and after that it ends. The boy or girl spend their earrings side by side they buy on debit or credit card spend lavisly speak to their convient just 10/15 minutes one while saying totally busy I official work week days week ends go to with friends pub party etc and once Green card plus PR or citizen totally they heat India to visit. Once parents dies they come and claim rights to convert US / other country dollar.
    This is the latest trend. When wife in family way they call parents as IAS (Indian Aaya or ICS (Indian cooking service) to the maximum period so that they need not spend dollars for maid servants
    As father mother we say. But girls are attached to mother/father as in the case of Boys(Boss)

    Thanks for posting this video. I agree that it’s hard to save anything with high inflation now. but if I compare my personal financial saving back to 2009 it was completely a difference story..With one person working ( me and my wife, no kids) we saved 30-40% of my salary. now my salary increased x 3 but cost of living increased x 6.. I remember we paid $ 525 for a rent in North Austin but now it’s $2200. if you add rent insurance and medical copayments that will bring down your saving a bit…

    Pretty much the same story in Canada. I live in GTA and the rent is comparable if not higher. Medical insurance pretty much gets covered at work for a nominal payment which is a huge plus. Most companies have a decent pension system which combined with Govt benefits comes handy when you retire and hopefully by then the house would be fully paid for. BTW good job guys, keep this going.

    how can you say savings are only $128 when right upfront you have saved $3000 in 401(K) and $1200 HSA ? those are savings too that in fact grow tax deferred. What;s more, most employers match your 401K and thus you are saving close $6000 out of the 100k. Other than that, you are spending a lot on rent may be because you plan to be in the US a short time. But most residents in this demography will be buying their 1st house which will build equity out of the 1600, thus further increasing your savings to about 7500 annually.

    Many folks do not know the avg salary in SF Bay Area is $400 to 500K if you're smart enough. Imagine if both husband and wife works... 1C savings in nothing...

    America is a long term country. Investing in 401K, 529 plan , IRA etc are important. If you decrease your tax liability- you reap the benifit long term ! And you have social security wages from 62 . If you need quick money- then US is not the place

      I just underestimated so many things
      Rent is 3.5k dollars per month around SFO, new york and seattle which is 2 lakh eighty thousand rupees for just less than 1000 square feet

    Hai, i am not residing in US. I am just asking for clarification. Every US NRI saying education and medical is free. Then what is the necessity for the health insurance?

    • @ArthiPrem
      @ArthiPrem  Год назад +1

      No medical is not free in the USA and its very costly so should have insurance to lower the cost
      K-12 education is free but have to send extra classes which will come around 400 per month

    Want to know the real impact of inflation and cost increases in general? My first salary in late 1980's was 42,000. We managed all of the above expense items and still managed to save a few $ every month. The buckets may be little different. No Mobile or streaming but AT&T calls to India was $1.40 per minute. The telephone bills were the second highest budget item. Looks like you need more than double these days.
