I have been doing some analysis to make that decision.
    1. USA has the most irritating / inefficient / long VISA process. Illegals are treated better than the legals who file thousands of paper work with legal attorney. Like you said India is now booming in all areas. For a good profile, the pay is super awesome in India. If you live the same quality of life in both places, Savings potential is more in India and you could invest in the fastest growing economy.
    2. Healthcare is ridiculously expensive and a daylight scam. Housing is expensive.
    3. Difficult to get fresh Indian produce for a nominal price.
    4. Food is way too expensive and options are limited in normal areas other than Indian settled areas like silicon valley, texas, New Jersey.
    5. Miss the family / cultural events / Temple visits ( not there in all areas)
Top three advantages in USA are :
    1. Good quality work in office if you are full time.
    2. Free from pollution and good for practicing various sports like tennis / soccer.
    3. Predictable and efficient traffic Management. Reduces stress.

I agree all except the #2 Savings. I worked in Bangalore Central Govt as Scientist. and then worked in Germany, Singapore and then finally settled in USA. Among all the nations, my salary is the highest and raise and working environment and getting GC all the best in USA comparing other countries in the world. For Savings also there are plenty of options available in USA like CDs, Stocks, Bonds, ETFs etc....

Great points Aarthi Prem .. another interesting trend, Many Chinese and Chinese Students started to leave USA by 2010 , as China progressed with lot of opportunities and economy grew big .. Same is seen for india, as india is rapidly growing with lot of opportunities especially after Covid era , after 2020 .
Around 2030, economists and investor Ray dalio predicts U.S. economy will be more stressed and challenge to leave a middle class life.
Work hard , Save money , Invest and compound your wealth .. look for other countries or india which gives safety and growth for your Kids and family in coming years , especially US economy and job market is struggling..!

Parents with US born children coming to India for education, is common nowadays, to give our culture touch to the children. Around one million US citizens are residing in India. Most of them may be either born in India and renounced our citizenship, or their children born in USA. Any way, the children, as a US citizen, can go back to US for MS or Dr, after completing undergraduation here.

    1. Plan for your early retirement whether you are in a Visa or GC or Citizen.
    2. Plan for kids higher education in India if needed, right from elementary (talk to them as well, so they know what to expect)
These should be the goal. Do not chase GCs or PRs and make it dictate your overall life goals.

If we are planning to move to India, we have to decide early and move at the right time and that is very important. Few of my friends moved when the kids are in middle school and kid's are struggling a lot . I feel right age would be fifth grade or at the max 6th grade. We are planning to move after fourth grade.

Moving back to india when your kids are in high school, helps in two ways …
    1. It gives an opportunity for the kids to study in India (if they get into a good college) which would minimize overall costs.
    2. If the kids finishing high school in India and then come to US for undergrad … they would be eligible for more scholarships (need based as the parents income would be looked in INR) than US based kids.

I think this video must be watched by everyone who are planning to visit US, they would get an idea and do not make unnecessary expenses here. I am almost completing 9 years here and would still have a mindset that this US life is temporary not permanent, always think on other side if any compiling situation arrives for me where I need to leave this country. I noticed few where they made big investments here and couldn’t able to digest when a situation comes to live.

Emotional Stability: While we may gain economic confidence with age, our emotional resilience can sometimes weaken. Given the opportunities emerging in India, it might be a good option for us to consider.
Parental Commitment: Ensuring we are there for our parents is crucial. The age of our children should also factor into our decision, as they may face challenges adapting to the differences between American and Indian lifestyles as they grow older.
Visa Concerns: There's a sense that I might feel more secure in my home country and not have to worry about visa-related issues as I grow older.
Freedom and Regulations: While the USA is often seen as the land of freedom, it's true that we still have to adhere to various rules and regulations. Returning to our homeland could potentially offer a solution to this confinement.
