I am getting less than $100k per year and living with family including 2 kids and paying $1600 for rent. I’m able to save $1k to $1.5k every month even after living a very comfortable life. I update gadgets often, eat in restaurants whenever I want and take 2 long and 4 short trips approx. every year. I was getting 60k INR a month in India and wasn’t even able to save a rupee. Hi Prem & Aarthi, thank you for your videos. It has lot of information as always. Apart from the points you have mentioned, the real trap starts when kids go to middle school. If they are in teen, it’s hard for them to adopt in India.
I moved to U.S 21 years ago. Currently U.S citizen. One advantage i have realized is women here , who want to take care of family can get decent part time jobs, which is not possible in India. Living in new jersey with densely populated indian community around, u will not miss India.
True Bro, In order to get citizenship for kids, most of the people wanted to continue in US. Kids need not undergo the huge slavery competition, bad lifestyle (10AM to 10PM Job+ transit time 2hrs) , less salary etc. we are hoping that their life will be cake walk. But reality is Our Indians working in the Client side are spoiling the work culture in US as well and are creating a Slavery environment

One other interesting reason for this could be that there was no recession after 2008. As years went by and recent high salary jobs and people buying house becoz of peer pressure, folks are in a settled mindset. When the next recession hits, there could be lot of people forced to return back, irrespective of the reasons discussed by you. Our folks should get into some kind of a business or real estate investments to overcome this situation. But this video will be heart warming for a lot of folks, including me, to find solace that there are people in similar situation. Good work bro.
We should take a decision quickly once we land in USA and have to make plans accordingly. If we plan to migrate to India then we should earn as much as we can and have to start investing in India or if we plan to settle in USA we have to choose a right location and have to buy home accordingly.Only drawbacks in setting in USA we won't be able to take care of parents and if we face any big health issues for us we should have a proper backup plan
Nobody comes to USA to save money. They r coming to enjoy a good life. I have been here since 1970 and husband since 1962. The country has blessed us in lots of ways. We have travelled all over the world & have brought up two wonderful and successful children. We never would have had a life like we have in India. Love America
After living in USA for 9 years , we decided to move back this year and its long pending decision. Its sure a comfort zone here but always many things like family and nativity are missing here in USA. Main reason for moving back is for my immediate family & grandparents to connect with my kids and i always have a feeling of am not belong here and as you mentioned documents , visa always reassures that as alien.
Friends true reason as below: 1 . Relatives pressure , family pressure . If you go back to india , general perception is they didn’t succeed in USA . Can’t manage so they came back . 2. Daughter in laws don’t want to stay with FIL and MIL . 3. Less pollution . 4. Less govt bureaucray , political nonsense , VIP culture . 5. High standard of living
The biggest trap I see is people once into US, gets accustomed to 9 to 5 job and most dont upgrade their skillset as in India. Over time, working in same technology and 9 to 5 gives a comfort zone which is not possible in India. Right now, there are big packages given in India and if one earns good salary in India with reasonable savings, its better to stay in India as things are getting better As we grow older, healthcare needs to be affordable and important which is a complete farce in US. India is much better in this area. Also, we do not know how will these kids growing up in US will be in future with respect to traditional and moral values.
"Things are getting better"? Only Muslim hatred is increasing and hindus are getting more and more radicalized. Unemployment is at an all-time high of close to 25% as per CMIE which is not even the actual figures, inflation is through the roof, 23% of the population is below poverty line which itself is too low to show low numbers and this is the official data. Unofficial data puts this at 60%. 2,400 MNCs have left India in the past 10 years. Without facts and numbers, kindly don't spew whatsapp news that the sanghis peddle and the so called 'upper castes' lap it up.
Any kids facing bullying and racism in schools? Please talk about this too. We have to stick with Indian community everywhere due to this. Many people decided to stay here for kids future. But many CEOs are from India earning high salary. So confused….
most of the non - IT engg graduates from ordinary colleges are struggling in India to get even small jobs . we should not judge the issue from the minority situation like a few getting high salaries in India.. generally India doesn't pay well like U.S and also extracts long hours of work..
But one thing is our kids might not grow up like we grew up culturally and with traditional values. The religious classes taken at the temple are not even equivalent to what we learnt in India. The teachers who take classes at the temple are not fully knowledgeable here in the US about our traditions. Our tradition of visiting our Kula deivam will be lost by the future generation. First and foremost they won't even be able to speak our mother tongue properly. Our kids will be more westernized and also risk of marrying a foreigner. I don't know if I am ready for it!!
2kids 5th and 4yrs baby ky school enga padika vaipadhu best ah irukum. ? India or USA ? Plus and negative points can you share immediately....bcoz we are confused about my child education brother.can you tell me which education is best
If someone can get a high package in india like 30 lakhs + then they should get high package in US too like 160k+ ,in any angle you see the savings in US will be always higher than India unless for some one lives extravagantly or struck with same company for some reason

Good video bro! Hats of to you for admiting the real reasons about trap. This will provide good information about life in US to folks who wanted to immigrate to US. Less than 100k salary and single earning is not worth to live in US. People already in trap is like tirisangu sorgam thaan. Not a real heaven.
I'm watching your video's quite a long time. But this is my first msg because I see your opinion and statements are my mirror 🪞 of my brain and the reasons that I hesitate to go back to India. We are living in Miami, FL since 2015, love this video.
Less pollution, decent life style, no rat race in education for kids, chance to visit so many places, exposure to different seasons, nature , less politics in workplace all these are a plus here
True, Also, Plus - No need to bribe any gov ppl for basic needs like driving license, passport renew, water connection, electricity connection, etc, - very less or No food / milk/ vegetable adulteration, Humanity is far far better here than in India. Humanity had started to fade recent days back home. On the other side, painful moments are when we badly miss our family / parents. Couldn’t be with them during good and bad times:(.

No respect, treat others the way you need to be treated good This is not all Indians I am mention please understand, those who do this pleas try to change trust me I have face lot
Aarthi. I spent 10 months .Even though they earned very well and settle well myself told my only one daughter that if she at India she will be like queen.nigamagave the life style is not liked by us.
I live in San Antonio Texas. Mainly it's for kids sake and job work culture and salary. Public library is free and can take books for free. Here, we have free public parks and playground with good swings and slides and play area which we can't compare to Chennai. Commuting from one place to another is easier with less pollution and doesn't make us tired. Taking kids to school and other extra circular activities can be done conveniently without traveling through pollution by mothers if they know to drive car. Also, ladies can drive car with ease here and be independent and go to work. Also, my husband is in manufacturing company and salary he gets here can't match with salary in India. Only thing I am lacking is good at set of friends, but people I know who are living in Dallas, NJ have good and close friends. Aarthi Prem, maybe it will be good if you move to Texas.
Same public library, public park with slide, swing even seesaw n spin are available in many places in and around chennai... coming to transportation,in India u have different mode of transport auto, bus, train, taxi in affordable rates n i guess you know how transportation in us...i think you grew up in that worst pollution n surving till now n that is evident though India is polluted country but Indian have good immunity so they can tolerate all environment...If u feel USA is far superior to most countries it ok,but don't think those are not available in India...Last thing most Americans are not welcoming Indians...
@@priyabala9800 are the parks and public library free in Chennai?? Can you take 20 books and pay nothing??? Can you park your vehicle without paying for parking fee anywhere in Chennai???
Many suffer from chronic respiratory problems because of pollution. Maybe you are one of the few lucky ones as you don't have any problems because of pollution!!!
@@priyabala9800 also I know what kind of swing sets and slides are there in public parks in Chennai, mostly rusted and stray dogs inside the parks roaming around in mylapore.

Lastly if u want to chant USA best mantra then that's fine, don't criticize India...there is difference in developed n developing nation...India is doing much better n will do even better in upcoming years....
Yes, lol. On a serious note, we feel a sense of freedom and judgement free life here that is difficult to get in India. Culturally we do have a judge-mental society which, is subconsciously one of the main reasons people find it comfortable here amidst all the negatives
@@aishwaryav9183 well said !!!! The society in US is much free and less judgmental. Mine is a love marriage, if I was in India all relatives, from both sides would have not allowed us to live peacefully... Too much of castism, religion conflicts has divided the Indian society so virulently .
Money and physically comfort is not everything. Many people ended up continue staying here just because they are unable to decide whether to stay or move. If one is able to decide with knowledge of pros and cons of their decision, ( stay or move) then they dont have any regrets. one thing is still unclear is nobody is having clear vision on how it is going to be after kids grown up as still not many have reached that stage
@@ArthiPrem Any kids facing bullying and racism in schools? Please talk about this too. We have to stick with Indian community everywhere due to this. Many people decided to stay here for kids future. But many CEOs are from India earning high salary. Confused.
@@PraneeFromUS why not? They just created a video from their life. It is much similar to many Indians in US who are earning less than 100k even after 5 years with single earning. Not everyone will eye for GC when they immigrate. Also it's not easy to get GC now for new immigrants. This is the reality and folks in India should know about this. Before coming here I didn't know much ab out it. Credits to aarthiprem for their courage to open up the reality. They mentioned the both ends too.
Also it's difficult for kids to cope up with Indian educational system,as they are not used to that which is entirely different in all aspects from writing, periodic writing tests, preparation for test ,notebook culture and discipline and behavior in the school..etc My child is in 4th grade, she reports hand pain after writing 2 pages of handwriting-. My other child is in 7th grade, she never do Maths practice in paper,no Step by step calculation, literally always uses calculator,
Also India la school fee Romba expensive ah irukum NRI kids ku. 2 kids irundha each kid ku 1 lakh mela aguthu some schools la. Parents oda unexpected medical expenses easy ah handle panna mudiyudhu USA la irundha, india la irundha avlo money ku loan or gold vechu than loan vanga vendiyatha irundhuchu
So when we return to India, will the kids be considered NRI ? Is it because they were born in USA ? Because when we return back to india...we are no longer considered NRI right ?
Public schools are free in USA and great quality. In certain states, public universities are also free with scholarship. So, education wise, America is better than India in expenses, opportunity for kids to get jobs, etc.

The whole thing of “not much savings in USA” is not true. Let me tell you ... even in India if only 1 person is working or is the bread winner of the family then in India also life is difficult, savings is not there. In India “now” a 8-10 years experience is getting 40lakhs per annum. But I know students with masters degree without proper experience getting 120k plus in US. I do not know if this kind of salaries are matched in India. Here even a priest can change his job into IT but in India prior experience, degree matters a lot. I know friends of mine who have done only BCom in India but after marriage with H4-EAD getting into IT. Also work timings in most US companies in US is between 9-5 but in India general work hours are 12 plus hours. Environment, no pollution, education for children, best universities, work culture , meeting other nationals and race, society in US is a bit free and doesn’t interfere or judge much... these are few pluses. I know visa and immigration is a big problem. But pluses are also there. Aarthi-Prem, have always shared your candid thoughts... thank you for that. Everyone is entitled to their emotions, opinions and thoughts.
True which we have mentioned too... If there is no advantages in the USA we will not be here and we are the most number of non immigrant visa holders too... Definitely the following good things are here good School district Less pollution comfort working culture Yes savings could if we planned it well and get the good offer or dual salary

Now India has changed a lot. Students from IIT, Good Private universities with Master's degrees are bagging more than 50 LPA with 2-3 years of experience. With this the savings is more compared to USA. In the case of work culture, sometimes finishing within the timeline the need for hard work with some extra time may be needed. The youngsters including me are also enjoying a bachelor's life a lot in India 😁. 🇮🇳❤️
True 👍 can't beat Indian education system and can't beat with Indian kids knowledge and brought up. Even though education is free in US, it's of no use, only parents are working hard for them. Kumon class n math class parents are paying 300$ per month which is more than India's yearly fee.

There is nothing called TRAP , all depends on the individual mind set . Basically they are choosing to stay back for their comfort in all aspects starting from Roads, Pollution, school
TRAP in the sense .. people thought we can go back and settle there but there is a various aspects not allowing to go from the work , school for the children and yes comfort Eventually it leads to the confused life

IMO in India infrastructure is not good compare to USA or Europe countries because of corrupted politicians. Savings are not bad if working in product or startup companies.
Not to forget the factors difficult to pinpoint. Nalla road and infrastructure here compared to india. Less uncertainty for sure. Employee welfare konjam better here. Oruthara sack panradhuku munnadi management thinks twice.

Advantages in US: Comfort, kids education and money..Biggest disadvantage living in US: Separate from parents, Loneliness after some point of time, will loose friends, kids may miss love from grand parents. We need to draw a line strictly after certain years.. Becos we should live parents when they're good and we should not take care them only when they become sick like nurse

Great points.. living away from home town is a choice we make for various reasons such as financial growth, career progression, global exposure, life style, comfort etc..United States is land of opportunity for many. The question here is are we staying intact with the purpose when we signed up for? We get distracted , compare others with us, peer and social pressure.. also it doesn’t matter single earning or double earning. More income comes with more expenses but agree that with dual income comes with some savings as well!

True bro
most of the non - IT engg graduates from ordinary colleges are struggling in India to get even small jobs .
we should not judge the issue from the minority situation like a few getting high salaries in India.. generally India doesn't pay well like U.S and also extracts long hours of work..
Thanks for your inputs bro 🙏
True... non engineering or management background people do not make much in India.
Spot on ...well compiled
Thank U 😊
But one thing is our kids might not grow up like we grew up culturally and with traditional values. The religious classes taken at the temple are not even equivalent to what we learnt in India. The teachers who take classes at the temple are not fully knowledgeable here in the US about our traditions. Our tradition of visiting our Kula deivam will be lost by the future generation. First and foremost they won't even be able to speak our mother tongue properly. Our kids will be more westernized and also risk of marrying a foreigner. I don't know if I am ready for it!!

Very good Arthi talks practically,.

If someone can get a high package in india like 30 lakhs + then they should get high package in US too like 160k+ ,in any angle you see the savings in US will be always higher than India unless for some one lives extravagantly or struck with same company for some reason
Thanks for the comments bro 🙏
Hi Prem I am follower of your channel.I could understand the pain taken by both of you are taking lot of effort to host Video with useful content. Hats off to both of you.My request you to analyze hardship in working under Consultant in USA AND host video about advantages and disadvantages of working under Consultant in USA.
Thank you so much
Definitely will do the video
Good video bro! Hats of to you for admiting the real reasons about trap. This will provide good information about life in US to folks who wanted to immigrate to US. Less than 100k salary and single earning is not worth to live in US. People already in trap is like tirisangu sorgam thaan. Not a real heaven.
I'm watching your video's quite a long time. But this is my first msg because I see your opinion and statements are my mirror 🪞 of my brain and the reasons that I hesitate to go back to India. We are living in Miami, FL since 2015, love this video.
Less pollution, decent life style, no rat race in education for kids, chance to visit so many places, exposure to different seasons, nature , less politics in workplace all these are a plus here
True, Also, Plus - No need to bribe any gov ppl for basic needs like driving license, passport renew, water connection, electricity connection, etc,
- very less or No food / milk/ vegetable adulteration,
Humanity is far far better here than in India. Humanity had started to fade recent days back home.
On the other side, painful moments are when we badly miss our family / parents. Couldn’t be with them during good and bad times:(.
True manusher bro
I like the point about the government services between usa and India
In India, I agree its hard to work in companies like Wipro :) but do have lot of good companies which promotes better Work/Life balance .

Hi brother and sister I have 1 request to new Vedio for all Indians .

GM. very useful suggestions
Thank you.
Thank you 😊
@@rosesweet2405 So u never intend to know what's in ur surrounding...there is public library where you can take books not 20 at a time but 3-4 if you have membership card.Ur locality park may have rusted swing n slide with street dogs not in all places where things are mostly good n ofcourse they are not collecting money..USA is 4-5 times bigger country than India so u find free parking space everywhere...just think with that kind of a population in India they are maximum trying to give good things than what you are getting in USA...in USA u may find fresh fruits n veggies bt most are hybrid n kids growth here is abnormal...u r talking about chronic respiratory disease which is faced my many Indians, what about allergies in kids and adults, cancer, other fatal disease facing by people here...as you're saying they are living in cleanest, unpolluted place, then why those many allergies and diseases for them?once u do ur blood works u know what surprises this USA has brought... Lastly if u want to chant USA best mantra then that's fine, don't criticize India...there is difference in developed n developing nation...India is doing much better n will do even better in upcoming years....
Here in USA, No need of handling In- laws and relatives.😀
😂😂😂
True
Correct my factu …
Money and physically comfort is not everything. Many people ended up continue staying here just because they are unable to decide whether to stay or move. If one is able to decide with knowledge of pros and cons of their decision, ( stay or move) then they dont have any regrets. one thing is still unclear is nobody is having clear vision on how it is going to be after kids grown up as still not many have reached that stage
Valid point 🙏🙌
@@ArthiPrem Any kids facing bullying and racism in schools? Please talk about this too. We have to stick with Indian community everywhere due to this. Many people decided to stay here for kids future. But many CEOs are from India earning high salary. Confused.
@@PraneeFromUS why not? They just created a video from their life. It is much similar to many Indians in US who are earning less than 100k even after 5 years with single earning. Not everyone will eye for GC when they immigrate. out it. Credits to aarthiprem for their courage to open up the reality. They mentioned the both ends too.
Also it's difficult for kids to cope up with Indian educational system,as they are not used to that which is entirely different in all aspects from writing, periodic writing tests, preparation for test ,notebook culture and discipline and behavior in the school..etc
My child is in 4th grade, she reports hand pain after writing 2 pages of handwriting-.
My other child is in 7th grade, she never do Maths practice in paper,no Step by step calculation, literally always uses calculator,
Yes literally in India for kids , it is like a rat race!!
Better go for home teaching for them!

Hi sister
Definitely medical expenses for better in india then USA..
I agreed the points getting loan in a better rate in usa than india 🙌
So when we return to India, will the kids be considered NRI ? Is it because they were born in USA ? Because when we return back to india...we are no longer considered NRI right ?
@@prabinprabhakar4687 kids will be considered foreign national if born innusa
Public schools are free in USA and great quality. In certain states, public universities are also free with scholarship. So, education wise, America is better than India in expenses, opportunity for kids to get jobs, etc.
No NRI concept in Indian schools. It will be matter when they go to college

Definitely the following good things are here
good School district
Less pollution
comfort
working culture
Yes savings could if we planned it well and get the good offer or dual salary
@@ArthiPrem thank you for this amazing channel... you guys have unknowingly created a strong community that is now freely expressing its thoughts, happiness, and pain. This place can be used for many good purposes. ♥️♥️♥️
🇮🇳❤️
Sister thank you so much
Much motivated comments 🙏🙏🙏
True 👍 can't beat Indian education system and can't beat with Indian kids knowledge and brought up. Even though education is free in US, it's of no use, only parents are working hard for them. Kumon class n math class parents are paying 300$ per month which is more than India's yearly fee.
In india too rents are increasing, school fees are higher, petrol costs are higher, inflation is higher than US.
If you work hard towards a good opportunity you can earn like crazy.. you can become a millionaire easily in usa but in india its not possible
Hi Prem and Aarthi, very good video 👍 andha kodi kodi income very true boss.. inga agara selavu namaku mattum than theriyum. Hoping to get out of this trap very soon… 5 plus and 🏃♂️
Well said 👍
There is nothing called TRAP , all depends on the individual mind set . Basically they are choosing to stay back for their comfort in all aspects starting from Roads, Pollution, school
TRAP in the sense .. people thought we can go back and settle there but there is a various aspects not allowing to go from the work , school for the children and yes comfort
Eventually it leads to the confused life
Comfort is a trap
Bro,
For how many months can you work from India on gc EAD ,in US payroll?
Some people say to avoid Pollution and Traffic issues they prefer US than India.
You can Vote in India and choose your Assemble member, counselor or you can be the one. If you are in India you can take all responsibility of a Indian Citizen.
Most of the people complain and still stay here. Better life balance than India and better work culture.
Very good & realistic video.. you explained the fact…👏👏👏👏@ArthiPrem
Thanks pradheep bro
The discussion about the reality of life style working style in US and India is superb. I came to Chicago by 30th March.
Thank u 😊
Where in Chicago.im here too
IMO in India infrastructure is not good compare to USA or Europe countries because of corrupted politicians. Savings are not bad if working in product or startup companies.
Not to forget the factors difficult to pinpoint. Nalla road and infrastructure here compared to india. Less uncertainty for sure. Employee welfare konjam better here. Oruthara sack panradhuku munnadi management thinks twice.
Thanks for your comments bro
Nice videos, post videos of cost of house in USA in each states
Well explained. My only issue, I came to US is "Micro Management" by my Lead, My Manager and all higher officials are good New door opened at the same time, so I chose
Cool bro
Definitely usa is the land of opportunity
As usual you guys are great.. can you guys do a comparative analysis of some of the low cost auto insurance like metromile etc.. what is the difference between big guys like GEICO, farmers, State Farm etc.. same for home warranty etc..
Why like that in home ur giving care and love to child...will the government going to see each and everyone

Let say it's fully depends on the your company every company have different pay but who already working in the US have 15+ experience salary never equal to newly going people through H1B .

Ok
Thanks for your views bro
How safe to bring up girls by all means children from baby to teen age till she settle in job? Some says girls can't escape from relationship,.dating etc is it so? If someone says no savings or less savings, they don’t have hot skill set and sticking with same desi company(TCS, INFY, CTS…) and not ready to upgrade themselves.
No matter whether you have hot skill or not.. Desi companies supports job security, whereas other companies ramp down the workforce based on their performance and recession… sticking to desi companies can be best choice for those who wanted switch to India.
Hi bro
I dont think skill set and people staying with desi companies are related
People stick with the desi companies for some other reasons
Boss, please come out of the black box called “Job security”. Even I had same thought bro. No one is going to remove you from company in a day. Right now, the opportunities are wide open and ready to pay good package also. There are plenty of opening in my company also but we couldn’t able to find right people having right skills.
@jayagandan Very True. Job security cannot be a factor. But what else could be the reason to stick with them, apart from green card? Just curious 🤔
I agreed bro.. we should not stick with desi companies just for job security, why i am seeing that is using this factor desi companies giving less salaries to them., USA is the land of opportunities definitely there are lot of openings outside
