You’d replace your boots once a year too if you rode about 200 days/year.

i used to use Dakine straps around the tops of my boots. nice to see that's basically built in to some models now. 👍🏽

I gave these a shot, but man they run extra small. I usually wear 9.5 in sneakers and 10 in boots, I even went up to 10.5 in these, and they still were slightly tight around the toe area. Extremely comfy around the ankle. But Toe area waaay to narrow, and I have pretty narrow feet as well. Surprised people can actually fit these. Had to return both pairs.

When I first got these they did feel a whole size too small, but I stayed true to size and got a 9.5 aswell. After wearing them around the house while doing chores and then hitting the slopes for a day, they broke in really well and don’t feel tight at all anymore. They feel extremely comfortable actually, and they stretched out and don’t feel tight at all whatsoever.

The toe area being too tight was also an issue for me. I ended up going for the invado bros, i went a size higher in those for more room on toes and cranked up the tightness on ankles using the boa which worked for me. Good luck.

Having a big foot is really a struggle cause I never get to try new boots I’m so limited it sucks!

People always give boa boots crap for not being easy to replace. My first pair did break 2nd day out because my snowboard was rubbing on them on the chair lift. After that my next pair the boa was covered. Never broke for 5 years now. So long story short don't get the cheaper boas and you won't have to worry about them breaking. Get the ones that are covered and they will last much longer than laces. My laces never last this long. Also boa gives free replacement cables on any boot brand if they do break with 2 day shipping.

I honestly could swing either way, and I feel like by the point that your boas break they're probably due for replacement in other areas as well anyways. Not a big deal like others make it out to be.

I'm currently still wearing the Adidas Sambas, last model production year. What would you recommend as the closest replacement to the Sambas (because I love the fit and feel)?
I've tried others including the Vans Aura and they were terrible for my feet, too tight and caused burning in both my Achilles tendons. Thanks!

I think ive finally made up my mind on a target boot purchase 😂😂 that is assuming they fit well. My old dc judge boa boots have failed me. The foam midsole has turned into dust mush. Seems the coating is failing also. Like the color on the whole boot is soft.
A lot of people saying vans have a skinny fit though. They also say 32 has a wide fit. Its been between the two. Not so sure i wanna buy dc again after the mess i just had to clean up on my floor. Its sticky.

Ngl I went from a pair of burtons with heel boas to these, I don't really miss them because vans just fit so well. Their x bar is really good and honestly it makes so much more sense to me now to get a pair of boots from a company specialized in footwear for half a century rather than just general snowboard gear

@@syundown6005 I popped into a shop in tignes, got my feet shape and arches measured. Then I tried on a few vans, the old shop guy in a thick french accent said "hey stop looking at these, yes they look nice but they will never fit your you properly you have "slender" feet 😜. How to immaculate me right there. Ha. So he got me to try on a pair of rides. I would never have even looked at them. They was Super snug and a whole size smaller, they looked fucking tiny compared to my old Nike vapens. Day 1 I was in agony, couldn't feel my feet tingles and completely numb, I was pissed and backing the boas off, day 2 was 10 percent better, but I still felt my toe was proper smashed against the end. I almost went back to the shop.
But by day 5 I only had mild ache and I was starting to realise these fitters in the mountains know their stuff. Just over a week later I've never had a boot fit so well. Just gutted cause the vans look sick, ha

I’ve been using double boa boots too, I love them super quick to adjust even in big gloves, you can crank them rly tight, BUT last week a skier crushed into me damaging my boa and I had to use rental boots bcs they had no replacement parts there so next boots I’m getting traditional laces.
