I went snowboarding once for school for 3 days and had such a good teacher. It was my first time ever but I was already used to wakeboarding, skateboarding and waveboarding. At day 3 I was able to reach 45 kmh while still in full control and now I'm addicted and really want to go again. I'm saving up to go on another snowboarding vacation.
This is how I learned, I kept going up on my own, doing my best, until a good dude showed me how to do it, then I learned on my own after that, much respect my dude!
I have skateboarding experience so I think that's why snowboarding came so naturally to me but I'm hooked on it. I am proud to say I was impressing my friends who have been snowboarding for years with the progress I've made with going only 2 times.
Amazing! Channels like yours, Tommy Bennet, John Buckhouse, Malcom Moore, Snowboard Addiction, have all inspired me to teach someone how to snowboard this season.
Props to you for teaching these guys. My friends just left me on the top of the mountain and I had to learn everything you are teaching on my own. It's was rough, I was in jeans, no gloves and no instructions.

I had gone on a high school trip, finished ski school and did my thing and a misjudgement caused me to break my leg. Well my sons will be learning for the first time 23, 28 They keep asking me to go to the Condo and just relax and keep the dog company and enjoy the view of the blue ridge mountains, I just don't think I can deal with the cold and the snow, Multiple Sclerosis is not being nice to me, and the walker is working overtime, no need to be sad I would never get on slopes again, that fear is gone but the pain will never go away. I pray they enjoy and pray they choose to do it again and with my younger son living with a Autism, but Genius level, I told him thats might not help him snowboard though.... I pray they have trusting and good snowboarding instructors that are fun and Patient.

I'd whished my swiss cousing taught me how to snowboard like this 21 years ago. They would just simply tell me "see you at the end of the track". I learned the hard way, but it was fun. Next week I will go snowboarding again after 21 years.
well done reminds me of my initiation 25yrs ago with a pro teacher buddy and my friend sefeen. we made it down the hill few times. just got new board and started back up and relearning everything
Heading out to Brek tomorrow to take my first lesson. This was awesome, and these guys had a great persistent attitude! Awesome! They're probably pros by now!
I was trying to teach my friend how to ski and I found this video. I have a piece of advice for any beginner who wants to learn to ski. If you do decide to learn to ski, before you start I recommend you first learn how to set up your bindings properly. Because I found in the video that the gap between their binding plates and boots is too large, which will directly affect the control of the skis and affect the initial experience. The first experience is very important.
the way I was taught was that the foot you are more dominant with goes back. So because im right footed, I should be left foot forward, but again, its very different with snowboarding and the fun of it is finding out what side you are more comfortable forward, and turns out im a goofy stance and not a regular, which goes against what I was first taught when i first learned in canada and then even back here in the UK. Love the video though and always look forwards to more of them!
As a dude who has both snowboarded and sky dived, I’d say I’m more afraid of the snowboarding. Relearning at 30. I had an uncle who worked at a ski hill so we got to go out there every weekend. Taught myself when I was 9 the old fashioned way by going down and falling a million times. By the end of the season I got it down enough to go without falling a few different trails. This time I have guides and can’t wait to actually learn.
I used to snowboard and ski a lot but couple years ago I moved to a new city and none of my friends here do either so I haven’t gone in like five years so this helped jog my memory a bit since I’m going for the first time In five years today😂
My first lesson last week was my skii friends taking me up a lift (I didn’t fall off!) and then basically having me send it down the green. I wish I saw this before I hit the mountain! Seeing these guys progress was super reinforcing. Cheers
Watched this before going out for the first time. Fell a lot, but wished there was a more flat spot on the mountain. There was a small learning area but with my wife and me and 5 other friends trying to teach us, it got crowded real quick. Sunlight Mtn was overall a steep grade for a corresponding learning curve. I'm going to keep watching your videos and try to implement these methods to get better. Been waiting 26 years for this moment lol (I'm 42 now)
Just learned the hard way via trial and error today for the first time, incredibly sore now but man once you get the hang of it it’s so fun, don’t know what took me so long to try snowboarding.
I'm so glad I found this. I just went snowboarding for the first time yesterday after wanting to do it for years, but similar to one of the guys in the video, I was just afraid. I didn't really have any help or guidance, and basically wore myself out just trying to get around with the snowboard, trying to skate just from watching others. Unfortunately it's kind of late in the season, so I may not be able to get out again, but hopefully next season I can try and find a good hill to practice what you showed in this video and get more comfortable on the board. Plus, do more cardio over the summer, in an entire day at the hill, I only managed 2 trips down the bunny hill just because of how exhausted I was trying to get around.
2 weeks ago, I went for the first time to ski as I got there. I decided to try snowboarding. I bought a snowboard from the shop and kept trying to learn about 9 hours later. I was so tired and sore. I was able to figure out the turns, but stopping was so hard. So I have decided to go on another trip again in a couple of weeks to try snowboarding again. I wish I could run to someone who will teach me, lol.
Honestly wish there could've been someone like this for me. Just went for the first time with some friends yesterday and we kind of just jumped straight into things.. went down the bunny hill twice and thought we were ready to hit the actual slopes.. did pretty good for the first time but this definitely could've helped a lot

At day 3 I was able to reach 45 kmh while still in full control and now I'm addicted and really want to go again.
I'm saving up to go on another snowboarding vacation.
Taking some friends snowboarding for the first time ever this coming season, this is an excellent example for "what to expect" on their first day
This is how I learned, I kept going up on my own, doing my best, until a good dude showed me how to do it, then I learned on my own after that, much respect my dude!
Sorry to hear that. Happy to hear you got back out there!
Going to go on my first snowboarding trip tomorrow and I feel like I got some real helpful info from your video. I expect to fall a lot but that is part of the learning experience. Thank you for the great content.
You are so nice to do this with them! I’m starting for the first time this season and I wished you were my trainer.
I will be teaching beginners this year. This video helps to learn how to approach them. Thanks Kevin!
Great teacher. The guys were also very good. They made progress quickly
They were the best students!
Jeans, no gloves, no goggles. Deff good candidate for beginners video. Your a good guy my friend. Keep it up.
I am by no means a bigginer but i really enjoy this video because it give me little tips on what i should be doing better!! THANK YOU
"Failure is an event, not a person" yes. legend.
Love this video.
This was so helpful. I’m going to take lessons for snowboarding tomorrow so it’s great to watch the progression of someone else to understand what I may go through.
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO, My Two Sons are taking Their FIRST Solo Ski Trip This week To The Slopes In a few weeks and I'm so nervous, the first time I went skiing I had no Idea what I was doing Fake it till you make it I always say it.
Those guys had the best attitude and will have lots of fun snowboarding. Great teaching job. It was a good combination.
So I'm starting as an apprentice this winter as a snowboard instructor and I'm going to take my level 1 course, I appreciate this video so much man, and from one of my favourite snowboard channels!
Been boarding for so long i dont remember how i learned, i promised a friend I'd teach them and i came here to make sure im teaching them right! Great video
This was super awesome to watch. Not only the teaching part - but how we need more people like you in this world. Great job, much respect to you!
Very kind of you teaching strangers. God bless you brother!
I'd whished my swiss cousing taught me how to snowboard like this 21 years ago. They would just simply tell me "see you at the end of the track". I learned the hard way, but it was fun. Next week I will go snowboarding again after 21 years.
what a story!
I hope you went and had fun
“Failure is an event not a person”these dudes are sick man! You Forsure made their day fun. Yeeeewww
well done reminds me of my initiation 25yrs ago with a pro teacher buddy and my friend sefeen. we made it down the hill few times. just got new board and started back up and relearning everything
I'm going to snowboard for the first time. This was a VERY insgihtful video for what to expect. Thanks!
Great instructor, great gentlemen from Pakistan. Thanks for the lessons, going to do snwoboarding first in February.
Have fun!
Congrats to these guys. Getting on the mountain can be intimidating. They did awesome!
My first lesson last week was my skii friends taking me up a lift (I didn’t fall off!) and then basically having me send it down the green. I wish I saw this before I hit the mountain! Seeing these guys progress was super reinforcing. Cheers
Going learn snowboarding, planning to take lessons but it’s also very help so far. My ❤jump a lot of times. But I love the confidence level. Love it
Love the absolute classic learner board. Iconic.
Been waiting 26 years for this moment lol (I'm 42 now)
excellent job! Kudos for helping out these 2 guys, and refreshing our memory...
Man I can seriously binge on these beginner walkthrough videos!
These videos really warms my heart and happy to know that there’s a nice community
Very cool you stopped and helped total strangers. Watching them struggle like that was more beneficial than a pro doing it.
Plus, do more cardio over the summer, in an entire day at the hill, I only managed 2 trips down the bunny hill just because of how exhausted I was trying to get around.
summer fitness training will improve your snowboarding significantly, you got this!
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan Kevin again with the proper content drop and also just being a super dope human being. Props man for doing you, always appreciate your videos. Have shared them with many family members/friends who are getting into snowboarding!
I had my first lesson 3 days ago and can relate to their foibles- you're a saint! So good of you to take the time to do this for them!
Today was my first time snowboarding. I managed everything BUT the stopping. There wasn't any real beginner paths for me, so I fell all day, and that's so exhausting, but satisfying 🥰
Can't wait to hit the slopes again!
Thank for posting this. I'm teaching myself how to snowboard. I can skate and glide. I just wished someone would be there to help guide and hold my hand. THIS IS AWESOME.
Way to be a BMF taking your day to ride to help 2 beginners. There's not too many left, huge props 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Going snowboarding for the first time today! This got me more familiar with the mechanics before even getting out there. Thanks man! I’m so excited to get out there!!
I’m 60 years old and will be going on my 1st snow trip. Not sure if I want to snowboard or ski. I’ve surfed my entire life as I live in Hawaii so snowboarding/skiing is a whole new concept for me. I hope to come across someone as generous as you to teach me some lessons
You should watch snowboarders vs surfers. Two different worlds lol. You’ll find it entertaining
@@Poleeze1 yes so I’ve been told. I already know that switch stance would be difficult
I searched lots of videos for beginners I think this is the best one for now. thanks a lot.
that is so cool to help the beginners. youre a legend man
This is a day they’ll never forget!
Just went snowboarding for the first time today! Used to skate and ride long boards when I was younger so I had an idea of what it would feel like. Very similar! I’m very sore but it was definitely worth it. Just found my new favorite hobby!!
Awesome video. Thank you for this. I just signed up for a snowboard lesson for the first time and I feel like I can handle this. Got myself new snow pants and better jacket for the first time in years too. I’m looking forward to it.
My daughter (16) and I (44) just got boards and can’t wait to learn how to snowboard. I would love to get some training like this just out of nowhere! 😂
Did snowboarding today for the first time, wish I had a trainer like you. I’ll be using your techniques on my next trip.
Very nice! I'm trying for the first time in 2 days!!!
what an awesome act of kindness!
Dude, you’re absolutely humble. I love how you offered your gloves for these guys. They’d never take it. They’re also nice. I feel bad for them for not having appropriate clothing.
watching this because my girlfriend want's to learn this year. Also i remember watching you as a kid to learn tricks. Nice to see you're still living the dream
What it’s all about baby, love to see it. So stoked for this 24/25 season man, can’t wait!!!
