    I keep rooted plants in small containers within the tank and my geophagus for the most part allow it to work out no problems so it is possible!!?

      @@DirtNassty they are great fish. Fun to watch, respond well to me, and have been very healthy. I still have all 10. My Angelfish was a jerk so I moved him from my 75 to the 180 with the Geos. He does well with them. Haven't seen any aggression on either side. Would definitely recommend Geos.

      @@Demorielz great to hear man! I actually received my 5 little guys 4 or 5 days ago! They all showed up nice and healthy, took a couple days for them to come out of their shells lol but they are all super active and loving life along side my other American cichlids in the 180.i skipped the 75 on them because my grow out tank currently has a more chunky dark substrate so icfigured sticking them in the 180 with the crystal river sand would be safer and better for them! They're doing great so far, can't wait to watch them grow and color up!

      @@brooke3140 Hey I know you from the geophagus fb group! lol. Yeah that's exactly how I pronounce it too.

    • @luckdragonn
      @luckdragonn 4 года назад +2

      It is pronounced “GEO-fay gus” in Latin “Geo” means earth and “Phagus” means mouth which can translate to earth mouth or earth eater.
