We are blessed with this episode. Thank you for sharing your history with us Diana 🙏🏻 It inspired me about expanding my comfort zone. You see, meeting new people still feels awkward to me (due to "old patterns" like you said Theo). My paradox is that: on one hand I don't feel the need to go towards people... on the other hand I never reject people who come to me. PS: the superthanks is actually to support your cousin's channel. Could you please split it with her Theo ?
There's no paradox. You want to connect with people but it's scary so just doing nothing feels safer and comfortable. A lot of people confuse feeling comfortable with feeling happy or in your case, "not feeling the need to change anything". But how you act when someone approaches you and how you write this comment tells us what you'd like most of all. Our nervous system only cares about our survival. You have to expand it's comfort zone if you want thrival. Thanks for the support, I'll make sure to pass it on to Diana 🙏💸
@@UncommonSense Good morning Theo. I have been reflecting on your words over the weekend (EDIT: went back to your video "Are You Lonely or Just Alone?"). Deep down, I know it true... Back in 2022/2023, I proactively faced my fear and it was quite fun ! Then I stopped for various reasons, "to take time for me" I convinced myself, but in the end those are just excuses because I have rested long enough now.
This is great and refreshing. I've been a bit critical on other vids and I would like to say this is very interesting, genuine and down to earth :) please continue this series
Really enjoy your content and this talk between you two. As a fellow stutterer I felt her pain of being trapped in a sense. Growing up I went to speech therapy but didn't really follow it because I wanted to feel "normal". Tried to hide it avoiding certain words and I remember how stressful it was to loudly read something from the textbook in school. As you said with time I found that slowing down and being more confident was key in controlling it. I admire her and her work
Cant been easy to do this I imagine so I really appreciate your cousin's views and honesty! A very few times I also get a small stutter and face cramps if Im really stressed or overly focused on what to say and gotten very emberassed by that. But that has only happened very rarely so Im not comparing it to her or people who stutters.
Thank you very much for this, Theo and Diana! Congratulations on your awesome new series, Theo; it's refreshingly "human" and wholesome 👏 as others have mentioned, Diana has a beautiful voice and deserves to feel proud of being such a lovely, kind soul! I wish you both all the best 🍀
Bro i'm gonna buy your book. You are the freakin best Theo. Thankyou for giving us a journal and textbook of how you achieved the best version of yourself. I will get there too and will invest!
Appreciate it and you're very welcome, I should be clear that the book is specifically about fitness and bodybuilding but there's mindset and philosophy stuff in there to support it too 💪☀🧠
Really cool to see one of my favorite youtubers talk about stuttering! It’s a rare condition so there’s generally very little discussion about it. Also I went to your cousin’s Instagram page, but it was all in Swedish so unfortunately I couldn’t understand it 😅
I'm curious to know (because i've heard this is the case with many of those who stutter), if she stutters while she is singing? The reason is that the brain uses different areas for regular speech vs singing, which might reduce or completely cut off the stuttering.
Interesting question, I definitely find that I'm not searching for words or feel stressed when I am singing...(It's part a physical thing and part a confidence thing, in my situation) I also found that when I had a drink (I don't touch the stuff anymore) I'm very fluent and could talk about any topic forever .so I think in my case it's a confidence thing and I should force my self to relax and have fun in.speaking.?
You guys sound so fun to talk to , i too stutter from time to time but for me it feels like my brain is running faster than my mouth so then when im thinking about what im trying to say my mouth THEN trips over my words.
Very interesting episode! Btw, the mycologist Paul Stamets told his story on his first episode on the Joe Rogan podcast, he used to have a stutter but he cured it with psilocybin mushrooms & doing martial arts (his theory is that stuttering is a subset of anxiety, and the mushrooms lowered his anxiety and helped him to love himself, and the martial arts also helped build his confidence etc.). He rewired his neural pathways and cured his stutter. It's quite interesting to me, how something like that can happen. If you google "paul stamets stutter" you'll also find other interviews with him about this. Has Diana tried psilocybin mushrooms or martial arts?
I love this human beings series. It's great to hear people be open and honest about their experiences.

Talking about any issues openly is calming and good therapy
It's a relief to not have to "hide" it anymore
She’s so inspiring and insightful! Also she has really beautiful eyebrows!

A good wholesome person..she says it all when she was asked who she is..she said happy..
