    If only more people would be just *aware* of trauma, world would be such better place

      Indeed, that falls under what you don't know you don't know for most people, even if they moved one level up to know that they do not know it'd still be a better place.

      Well, from a different position, some are more aware of it, to keep some in trauma to control them. So, is it depends who should know about it and how to use this knowledge.
      But I agree to the intention but think in reality it is just wishful thinking.
      In the end I just wish I would have known more about trauma much more earlier, but I am grateful to know now.

    The part about being yelled at is so true. As a child my father yelled at me so badly that i would freeze and have a physical fear of him. This carried with me into my adult years. And even to this day if someone yells at me i instantly get triggered and its bad from there on. Im only just starting to try to understand my fears and learn how to deal with people when they shout at you without having a nervous break down.

    I have a great idea! you could hire a pianist for a seminar, who then organically plays while you talk and gesture and everything you usually do. I suppose it will take a couple of minutes before the two of you are in sync, but once you're in sync it could be amazing. Possibly adding to the degree of which the knowledge is absorbed. In a movie for example, the music helps greatly to pull the viewer into the experience, even making them forget that theyre watching a movie. Take it or leave it :)

    This is very much an eye opener. During an incident i did not run or fight i did this. Freeze response. The doctors called it ptsd but they didnt elobrate on it until i started researching because i had only ever heard of flight or fight not freeze. And it was one of the most herrendous things ive ever experienced. I literally could not speak for a few days and certain other embarrassing things happened. I felt like a corpse or something and that third person perspective is very true. I felt like my soul had left my body and i couldnt get back in. i was stuck on a loop of the event and couldnt accept any new information. I still think to myself what happens if a situation happens again and i am able to act. I dont want to ever be that helpless again especially if i have those that depend on me.

    Great video - thank you for your work :)
    Vitamin C came to mind as you spoke of the deer "shaking off" trauma.
    A little insight I'd like to share on bio-chemical stress;
    Stress has many different forms of expression - one of which is bio-chemical. Free radicals. When you get into a high stress situation, your body boosts your energy to enable a fight or flight response. This energy boost has side effects, among others "free radicals" roam in your body afterward. They just fuck shit up. They are highly reactive and are looking to cool themselves down by pretty much hot-potatoing the destructive stress to the next molecule. Vit C is an antioxidant in three ways even I think. Meaning the hot potato movement stops when reaching Vit C.
    Now get this - most animals produce Vit C in their own bodies. (Humans are one of very few animals that survived the evolutionary process of not producing that stuff themselves.) Okay okay - when stressed animals produce a truckload of Vit C. Like wayyyy more than when they are chill. Why? Because Nature learned that stress chemically destroys our bodies and Vit C counters that. Those that produce Vit C on mass - when stressed - survive.
    Are you stressed? Get yourself a Vit C pill with 10x what you actually need and boom you helped yourself

      @@aaron.social The first relationship rarely works out the way we want it. If she moved on that quick it's very unlikely that she's the one for you. Work on yourself. (body/mind) Try to heal from your past childhood trauma (we all had it) to not repeat any unhealthy relationship patterns that you picked up from your parents. Study deeply what the characteristics of a healthy relationship are. I know it's very hard but believe me - the right person for you will enter your life when you the least expect it. I recommend when the time is right to define the qualities of your ideal partner in your mind or even in written form. Wishing you all the best!

    Divorce and loosing your spouse to cancer is trauma and not so easily to let go tho, even if you can the loneliness sets in - what to do about that? Answer: sit with the pain and experience the trauma the emotions that affect your health, you have no choice... but to re-experience trauma that happened long ago should be easy, you're 50 now n it happened when u were 12, let it go, sheesh...but even if you can, it's still your experience and the scab will always be there, why pick at it...but you can help make the payments for the Porsche your therapist drives if you wish.
