  • In this video I go over a quick spotlight on the Gold Titanium Barbell from Valor Fitness. This is a very unique barbell coated in a gold coating that offers needle bearings and a great all around daily driver.

    I just got the bar today, and the bar looks amazing, the knurling is great. My only problem with it is it scratch's way too easy I put a 45 lb Rogue Echo v2 Bumper on it and it made a pretty deep scratch on it and when I pulled it off, the plate had a minor defect in the collar that you can barely feel with your finger and yet it made a pretty nasty scratch on the sleeve. Also my Bar came pretty greasy so i had to wipe it down alot before i used it.

      That sucks about the scratch. I hate it when that happens and have been there myself. Funny you mention the oil as the last few bars I received were covered in oil too! Good reason to have a Barbell Rescue brush to clean them. cheers

    Nice looking bar. I always go stainless when possible to avoid rust or obvious wearing.

      Stainless is always a nice way to go!!

    Very cool bar. Great review. I hope you do an update after a year or so to see how the gold coat holds up.

      Ya I was curious about that also. The only titanium coating I’m aware of nitride but they don’t mention that so let’s see how this holds up.

    That bar is so fucking beautiful. I might buy one just to hang it up lol

    Thank you. The bar is needle bearing would have liked to see the sleeves spin. Rogue has their composite bushings in that price range so that's one other area where on paper this bar is superior.

      Good point and that’s not something I care about generally with my training so I completely missed it! I’ll have to do a follow up.

      @@MacStrengthCo It may not be that much better if at all then then a rogue bushing... It's only has 2 per sleeve (4 per bar) which is pretty low where for example rogue on their IWF weightlifting bars have needle bearing which will have 5 sets per sleeve (10 sets per bar)... I feel like they put in as little needle bearings as possible to say it's a need bearing bar.... Why wife's rogue weightlifting bar (predates IWF certification) is smooth and goes for days... Posting a quick video shortly it's the same bar spec wise as what they sell now I just got it before they obtained the IWF certification

      Thanks for info. Bearing vs bushing debate has been going on for a long time and it's full of variables that's for sure! cheers, Rylan

      Get some custom ones man! There was a recent video here about them and Basement Brandon did one a few years ago.

    • @MacStrengthCo
      @MacStrengthCo  2 года назад +3

      The 80" length info on the end cap isn't really necessary is it?! ha ha. Throw some custom ones on there like James said if it's a big deal.
