- I have decided to transition from relaxed hair to natural hair after some struggle getting back my relaxed to a healthy stage. The breakage was a lot, so I had to to come to terms with it, and I have been thinking about growing natural for a long time.

Best decision I made by the end of 2023 ... a fresh start big chop for 2024 my hair is flourishing thick and healthy plus a new texture I never knew 😊😊
I'm so happy to hear this! You are giving me hope! Thank you for sharing.
I just re-started my relaxed hair journey after 5years of natural.😂😂 The video on taking care of your relaxed hair brought me to this channel lol...safe on the natural hair journey
Haha!!! I have so much valuable info that you can still use it. Also, thank you beautiful.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us, im going back natural also. Looking foward to your natural hair videos ❤😊
New to your channel, but yayyy I'm so happy for you 🥹 ❤
Yay! Thank you!. Welcome!!
Your natural hair looks beautiful. I think it will look nice on you. In the future if you so desire you can relax your hair. Keep on doing a good job with your hair. 😊
Thank you beautiful! you just made my day
Starting all over again and i feel great about it i realized i had left my relax hair eraaaaa😂
haha!!! Time for a change!
All the best in your new journey 😊
Thank you so much!🥰🥰
I've enjoyed your relaxed hair videos, but I can totally understand your reasoning for going back natural. I hope your journey will be as easy as possible, and I know you'll get back to long, healthy hair. 💜
Aawww!!! You just made my day. Thank you for your kind words. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Remember God loves you♥️😊!
Good news is that Jesus paid the punishment for your sins, He died, and rose from the dead on the 3rd day. you are ONLY forgiven and saved by putting faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Please repent, change your life around and live for Him🙏.
He is coming back soon🥳🎊...
God is amazing. Thank you.
I think you unnecessarily trimmed off too much of your hair, and you trimmed it excessively with each sew in removal. Your breakage/damage was just the perimeter, but the rest of your hair was fine. The perimeter would catch back up eventually. I had crown breakage last year, where the hair broke down to 2 inches but the rest of my hair was long. No way I was going to cut all my hair to the length of the crown breakage. With time, the crown grew back on its own, to the same length as the healthy hair
I see your point. But I'm happy with my decision, and as they say its just hair. Eventually it will be long again and if I want to be relaxed again, I can.
She cut off her weave not her hair
That's amazing - I wish there were more stories shared in the black hair community about people letting broken sections of hair catch up. I don't think big chops are the only solution.
@@meemee24739 totally agree! black women are the only ones who big chop when there's major damage because of our comfort getting fake hair
Your hair will be gorgeous. 😊
Thank you so much
I started mines 2 years ago. The best thing I ever did for my hair. 😊
I am so happy to hear that!! I am feeling more and more comfortable with my decision. Thanks for sharing!
I'm going back natural too. I have not relaxed my hair since last year December. Gonna braid it soon and treat it and continue do that until it's all natural
You got this! So happy for you!
@@samminu thanks
@@user-bz8kt6qw3e You are welcome! 🤗
Hi, thanks for the video, just wanna ask you, ''how long does it take your hair to transition?''
On the same journey girlfriend keep us posted
Awesome! All the best, and I will!
I was natural for a 11 months and relaxed it in december but now i dont feel good about my decision😢😢😢😢😢
Ooooh no. Give it a chance and see.
Same!!!. I stopped relaxers in june 2022 and was natural for a year and relaxed again in july 2023. I am regretting now because my relaxed hair is breaking off and debating whether to go natural again but sad about losing all the length. I'm currently at 2 months post relaxer trying to stop the breakage. My plan is to go one more month trying to get my hair back to health. If it doesn't work, I'll go back to natural and this time stick to it.... Hopefully :)
@@dollyrevenge98try K18! And tell your stylist to use the lightest relaxer they have that’s what I had to do my stylist was like putting the strongest stuff she had on my hair because my hair is thick and it all broke in the middle but I started using k18 and it stopped breaking I wish I used it sooner because I lost a shit ton of hair
@@gbriataylor2554 I'm using K18 now and have been for 3 washes now. Still experiencing breakage, I'll wait until I've used the whole bottle then I'll transition to natural if the breakage does not stop. I've also tried Olaplex
Nothing wrong with a simple press :3 and you get to restore your curls
❤❤❤❤.
Hi when you started your natural hair journey did you cut your hair?
I keep cutting 2 to 3 inches off inches every month or two to help eliminate shredding.
Why can't one transition from relaxed to natural without loosing length. I'm seriously researching on ways to transition without loosing length
Because the roots get so thick that it is hard for the relaxed hair to hold on.
I'm glad you are restarting your healthy hair journey by going natural, but what happened to your hair that led to the breakage and excessive shedding. I saw that you had hair extensions/sew-ins but you kept a good hair routine that kept your hair healthy. So what happened? I was surprised that this happened to you because I started using hair glossers from your videos.
I over-processed it by filming a video of how I relaxed my hair. I was struggling with the video with the right angles and also not keeping in the relaxer too long. I used to regret that video, but I am ok with it now because I would not have done my transitioning now.
TO B HONEST ...it look like u flat ironed your hair waaau too much hun
How many monthly post-relaxer are you?
Damn! I wasn't even keeping track! 😂😂. Maybe 6-7 months now ❤❤❤
Are you gonna be a straight natural or wear your texture?
I'm thinking straight natural.
What's the difference please? Pardon my ignorance
@@saminatel6003 straight natural = straightening natural hair with flat iron. Wearing texture = not straightening hair at all.
@@samminu I’m considering the same. Going to transition. Big chop. Protective styles and wear my natural hair only when straight
SECTION YOUR HAIR MORE WHILE WASHING AND CONDITIONING. B GENTLE
Thanks for your advice, beautiful.
I just fully transitioned and loving my curls!
Yay!!! I'm so happy for you!!❤️❤️💕💕💕💕
U r rso lucky..I just strted..I m 5 months in n 3 inches of natural hair....sigh) pray for me sis!
@@S7766 Hang in there!! 😫😫😫
😢
I wish you the best of luck on your hair journey, but DONT big chop!!!! It's possible to rehab hair (have you tried aphogee 2-STEP (not 2-min)?) and natural hair is susceptible to heat and mechanical damage.
Thank you! No, I haven't.
Try sectioning your hair to be more thorough.
Ok, thank you beautiful.
