- Allison Blosfield from Lake Stevens, Washington, and her husband, Eric, went through an experience that no parent should have to go through. It started early in her pregnancy. Doctors shared with them that their baby had Down syndrome. They later found out baby Ethan had a heart defect. For 35 weeks, Allison was given many chances to terminate the pregnancy. She said no every time, even though the chances of Ethan surviving were slim. Allison shared her story with Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall.
The doctors told my aunt to allow my cousin with Downs Syndrome to die. She said, "No". Stuart lived 45 years. He was one of the most awesome human beings I have ever known. He had never ending unconditional love. He had the cognitive capacity of a 3 year old, but he had so many interests that he enjoyed sharing. On those unusual occasions, he was angry at someone he would draw a picture of a pig and hand it to that person. After a few moments, all was forgiven. He held no grudges. He had ~150 people at his funeral. He left an indelible mark in the hearts of many. I miss you, Stuart 💕
It’s a tough decision to make. I’ve seen babies with DS go through a lot with heart failure and infections and being in the hospital for surgeries. I’ve also seen them grow up and live well into their middle age, happy and thriving. It should be up to the parents, not the state.
Look at the baby's smile🤗❤️
God bless his little heart

All depends on how bad their downs maybe as i live with autism and its a depressing thing dont want my child dealing with a disability too
Can’t say I would do the same but to each their own.
You go mama, I have a neice with down syndrome. Get ready for a bunch of laughter and smiles that are coming to you! You will learn a lot, its hard but you got it
.
Again this is what I live by, its not my body/life so I can't tell you what to do. However, I can give you advice in hopes you can take it
Why would you say no
What does termination mean
Log out. Go read a book or two.
It means to end the pregnancy
