- Today I'll take a look at how Splatoon 3's painbrush works and weather or not its a good weapon in the game. We'll look at things like damage, speed, and overall performance. To me personally, this weapon is a treasure, what about you?

Finally, a brush that old people can use
Your just mad your bad at using brushes lol
I want them to add the Basedbrush in the next update, as a new bread brush type
So something I've figured out with the painbrush is that it's not to be played with the mindset of a brush, it's a slosher. You're expected to approach enemies from high ground, and additionally the slow windup but huge range means you're expected to take on a large amount of enemies rather than single targets.
Additionally, it's actually INSANELY good in salmon run if you know how to utilize those strengths. The wide range and high damage means you're able to take out massive chunks of lessers in no time at all and the roll even does just enough damage to take out smallfry AND glowflies chum. The slow windup is meant to be worked around by putting yourself in a safe spot, letting the windup do its thing, and then just shredding everything in your path.
...also bread.
So that's why I didn't like it
this weapon is foreshadowing the new species of painlings
I'm more octobrush personally.
As a former brush mainer myself, I think the devs are WAY overdue to give brushes a buff to make them more viable. Although I find them fun weapons to use, I will be the first to admit they're underpoweted. The big issue holding them back is that they can't approach while swinging, and so if you fail to catch an opponent by surprise and splat them quickly enough, all they need to do is step back while shooting at you and you're doomed. It is purely ambush-orientated and cannot win in a direct standoff. This could be very easily fixed though; if brushes could simply move while swinging, much like how Splatanas already can, they'd be capable of closing the gap on an opponent who has spotted them and thus stand a fighting chance. Another option would be for brushes to have the ability to dodge-roll; this would allow them a chance to at least get out of range and make a retreat if they failed to ambush in time, and possibly even let them close the gap on an opponent for a second (albeit risky) chance to splat them. Perhaps not a double roll like the Duelies, but even just a single roll would be enough to provide brushes with the buff they need to be viable on the battlefield. If Nintendo were to implement just one of these two potential changes, it would make a great balance-fix.
A new Vasko video RIGHT after the Direct finished?! We're in the BEST timeline!
bread brush can be a little bit hard to learn but it’s SUPER fun once you get the basics of pain down!! during the start of sizzle season, i never really played painbrush that much but NOW im a painbrush main with 4 (almost 5) stars on the weapon :D
Personally I really like this brush mainly because of how slow it is. It reminds me of the dynamo (my main) and I find it really easy to just pick up and fight with.
Personally I’ve never been a fan of the brush not really my Bread and butter but the pain brush seems fun so maybe I’ll try it out next match
I play ink brush with a very weird hand position, so it was a relief when a heavy brush came out.
Ah, this explains why Mr. Games has been using Painbrush so much in streams recently.
Cool bread fact.
quick tip: don’t stay grounded when swinging, always jump
ESPECIALLY with painbrush
it's a breadbrush now >:) *aggressively paints bread*
I know nothing about this game but this weapon seems bready cool.
Idk why but I just find your voice so calming
Splatoon 3 is my first splatoon game and after about a month this is definitely my main, that delay in the beginning can suck but once I get this thing going I go to work. Nice video
Painbrush def needs some kind of buff.
I'd probably reduce the windup and maybe end lag of the weapon to help with fighting more mobile weapons.
Defiantly believe this has potential as a sort of heavy tri slosher type.
I actually play all the brushes and I'm comfortable with the taping of the ZR button😂.
I honestly like the Painbrush becouse of its range and deameg. Only thing you have to look out is that you can't play it like a normal brush and ambush peopel becouse of the start up frames of the first swing. Overall its more Mid ore highground based surfaces to get out more potential.
Btw. Bread!
Painbrush can definitely take a while to get used to but it’s surprisingly fun! Feels as smooth as bread with butter
Bread! Never got into Splatoon but your videos are always a treat. Keep up the great work fam!
I'm just glad my brush main freinds have something else to work with.
I love the prerecorded is more energetic than the live commentary HAHAHAH FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING
I am an Octobrush main, so thanks for this vid Vasko! It’s only happened twice that my full power was unleashed (like one-man army’ing on a whole team, without thinking in the slightest).
My full power looks like a quarter of the power of a pro Splatoon player (like you), because it only happens for like a minute at maximum. After that, I’m back to being killed 17 times a match, and I’m only half joking.
So again, thanks for the vid Vasko! I will definitely give painbrush one more try!
(One last thing to note, both of these full power modes happened while I was trying out octobrush, so that’s why I main it and give nothing else a chance, not even other brushes.)
Hey vasko, I forgot to mention when I was starting teal masks like a minute in. I got a shiny spinarkt
I've had faith in this weapon since day 1
And I just recently got this brush too
What a coincidental vid
Trash or treasure: Aerospray RG
That is a very peculiar looking kirby
Best brush gameplay, sadly it can’t beat the OctoBrush when it comes to style
I’ve always liked this weapon and I don’t get why it’s uncommon.
more hungry metaphors please lol
im an inkbrush user. the carpal tunnel is coming for my gamer ass soon.
I felt like the paintbrush was a downgrade but watching this video showed me that it’s like the bread and butter combination
I think I've realized something. The base brush is a pc player brush.
Bread, bread, bread, bread, bread.
Octobrush personally
Bread
Damn this video was great Vasko, like a good bread for a sandwich!
I'm not certain that this thing is good, but I definitely find it fun, which is why I main it lmao
Bready or not, but i think brushes don't give people carpal tunnel, people just aren't used to working out their finger!
More bread please.
I used to main neovu pain
It’s honestly weird that the French Painbrush isn’t Breadbrush
Buttered bread
So using 3 pures of Ink saver was too much?
Nah I think that's a fine amount, def need at least 2 imo but then again, I'm an ink hungry fiend in general lol
@@VaskoGames ah, okay thank you.
I’m not sure I can agree that in salmon run trash
It does 150 damage up close
What is your favorite bread?
Hey vasko
Tip for anyone who wants to try brushes, or even most sloshers tbh; look into getting a turbo controller. If you dont mind losing gyro I'd throughly reccomend the Hori Split Pad Pro and I'm sure a turbo controller with gyro exists somewhere
that's pretty much cheating.
breaddddddddddd
Ima become an Austrian Splatoon painter 😊😊😊
bread
NO I have a gluten allergy so NO 8:06
i like bread
2th
Hiiiii
It’s not new anymore
I don’t like the painbrush
