Speaking of Bomb Sniffer, I've been playing S1 a bit again lately and I decided to just use random outfits because I realised I never unlocked the sub abilities on most of them. I never even thought to try Bomb Sniffer before, but it was on some gear I was using just to upgrade it, and I was surprised how useful it actually was. Really good for awareness and to help not getting caught out. Also very useful in a game where Bomb Rush exists.
Been playing a lot of painbrush this season and my god, splat bombs are so annoying when you have a start up lag of 18 seconds and can see the bomb and know there's nothing you can do to get away. Also glad to know I'm not the only one who has somehow gone blind to suctions bombs and wants bomb sniffer to come back. Was a terrible ability in splat 1, but bombs and players are so much better now that it would actually be really useful.
6:00 to be fair, given their triangular design, it does feel a bit more realistic. For instance, and stop me if I'm losing you, but have you ever rolled a D4?
Despite the fact that I love using squid beacons, I agree with your reasoning, because I've come up against that my damn self! Getting spawn camped because of this is not fun. But at the same time, I cannot be so judgmental, because I'm the type of person who will put a decoy beacon right in front of your spawn while hiding somewhere in your base. Lmao
I kinda wish suction bombs were more visible. Like I feel like the fact that they're completely static after landing is probably why they catch people off guard so often: if you didn't see it land it's so easy to miss cause we're looking out for something or someone moving 99% of the time.
People underestimate splatbombs. On old S3 Mahi Tower. One main of sub power up was enough to reach the small block beside the tower and since Splat bombs start exploding once they touch a surface you could throw it on top of the block starting the detonation process and by the time it rolls over the block it explodes instantly.
Fizzy is my least favorite sub in the game to use and fight against. It's bad when fighting against just because of how unpredictably it bounces and how it punishes retreating. And I don't like using it because if I want it to be fully charged I have to give my self motion sickness. Plus the trail it leaves is often patchy, making it feel unreliable as a movement tool.
You don't even have to really put any thought into using suction bombs. Just randomly throw them out every now and then and you'll be disgusting by how often the get kills
@4:40 i think its feels worse getting marked in splat 3 because theres a lot of lethal 1 shot weapons and specials like chargers, blasters, inkjet and zooka, and theres no armor to save you like in 2, so you have to just.. take cover and wait.
As a squid who likes to sneak around and flank, I also can't stand going up against point sensor. ...But at that point, if I get marked, I'll just switch to rush down aggressive mode. Either that or retreat.
As an undercover main 1) splatbombs 2) curling bomb 3) suction bomb 4) point sensors 5) Angle shot (if an opponent has object shredder they can hit through our shield)
I don't really have a list of least favorite sub weapons to face but just to be a little early for the next video, my least favorite main weapons to face are Clash Blaster, Ink Brush, Hydra Splatling, Trislosher, and for #1 to no surprise it's .52 gal.
As someone that enjoys playing naut, i actually really like having point sensor. It feels significantly stronger using it in this game too, not just playing against it. Also splatbomb 100% is the worst. So many times a rolled splatbomb is just unavoidable death and its super unfun to play against.
I have a theory that point sensor forces the online to confirm exactly where people are located, so your shots actually hit them and register. Feels like shots land much easier with it, and without it sometimes you hit people like 15 times and then someone else splats them and you don't even get an assist.
Honestly I was surprised that auto bomb wasn’t on it because there have been multiple times when I have been saying tetras and somebody throws an auto bomb and it walks up and kills me while I’m in my lag
As a splat dualies player, I love suction bombs! And hate suction bombs! I love surprise splatting some with a well placed bomb. I hate getting splatted by a well placed bomb.
I hate facing suction bombs for the same reason, but I also hate trying to use suction bombs, because for my tastes, they take way too long to explode! I'd rather use splat bombs, because they function more like grenades to me.
Torp is my least favorite sub. Most players just spam it without skill or thought and normally it wouldn't be so bad because they're making a commitment to throw it but I play rollers which has bad paint and slow attack time, so it struggles to take them down. Also it messes up sharking. It feels like if I don't shoot them down then I completely can't do anything after except retreat. I also dislike point sensor for the same reasons said in the video.
As a squiffer main: 1. Torpedo 2. Beakon (When my team ignores them and only I get rid of them) 3. Suction 4. Burst 5. Autobomb (sometimes I don't see it in my big bubbler 😅)
in 2 and 3 I've cultivated some great support kits centered around squid beacon travel in milliseconds bUT 3 AND ITS HALLWAY ASS MAPS MAKE IT SO NOBODY WANTS TO USE MY BEACONS >:'(
I suppose chase hates fighting an inkbrush kit then because it has splat bomb and killer wail but some daulies outrange inkbrush anyways (I use tetras and spuelchers in the daulies)
Top 5 subs that I hate fighting 1. Landmines 2. Burst Bomb 3. Splat bomb 4. Point Sensor 5. Torpedo Any form of damage that can be executed quickly via a sub is always annoying as a dualie player who is almost always chip damaged 😭💀 👍
Me as a dapple main, I absolutely hate point sensor. All the way top on my list. I've met a ton of sensor spammer and it's a fricking hell. It's too easy to spam it and got someone marked in Splatoon3. For my list, anything that does not require a lot of brain cells is on it. So point sensor is there without a doubt. (Therefore, I hate 5.1 as well, I'm gonna hate it for the rest of my life.)
So you think suction bomb is too powerful of a sub for dualies? I don't know about that. With dualies, especially you leave yourself more vulnerable when you use one since you can't effectively utilize your dodge roll due to how much more ink a suction bomb takes. Though I guess ink saver can negate that problem, but not everyone goes for a build like that.
I'm a suction/splat bomb hater for sure. Honestly I would love to see a slight detonation speed nerf for splat bombs and a lethal radius nerf for suction. PLEASE NINTENDO

the editing is wild!! love the dualie dodge transition, also this list makes sense, i dont think point sensor is THAT bad…

I swear I love fizzys but seeing them gives me anxiety especially when I use the dualies and dodged already and then I'm stuck
I love splat bomb just for the little bit of ‘oh fuck’ it causes when one lands close to you and you hear the noise
Point Sensor might also just be more punishing because there isn't Ink Armor to fall back on for ignoring it
Bro the number of times I get killed by a stray bomb is crazy. I get being unlucky, but there’s not seeing it coming, and then there’s _bull_ shit
Funny how custom CDS has beakon and normal DS has splatbomb wavebreaker
the real reason why Chase hates them...

My least favorite sub to fight is line marker, and my least favorite weapon to use is suction bomb…
What did us line marker users do to you 😭
@Leeloo_the_foxits so difficult to have 2 aim with the sub and the the main weapon sometimes
You don't even have to really put any thought into using suction bombs. Just randomly throw them out every now and then and you'll be disgusting by how often the get kills

As a brand new dulie user, this makes a lot of sense
YES. I agree with splat bomb. People just spam it so it's too dangerous to dodge roll.
As a splat dualies player, I love suction bombs! And hate suction bombs! I love surprise splatting some with a well placed bomb. I hate getting splatted by a well placed bomb.
I agree with suction bombs, it probably has something to do with the ink because they're way more hidden than in previous games
I hate facing suction bombs for the same reason, but I also hate trying to use suction bombs, because for my tastes, they take way too long to explode! I'd rather use splat bombs, because they function more like grenades to me.
Inkbrush having splatbomb AND killer wail HA
I’ve been so far away from suction bombs and get absolutely destroyed by the blast radius. It needs a little nerf

Hmm. I didn’t think about this. This was interesting to hear your opinions
Splat-Bomb / Killer Wail, huh? Man, you must hate fighting V-Inkbrush
Yeah but most dualies beat inkbrush at least
So Chase’s least favorite weapon to play against is vanilla Inkbrush?…*puts on my QR set* good to know-

Splatbombs detonation time is super stupid, it's lethal and it kills at a long distance?? Why??
splat bomb/point sensor spam is obnoxious as a dualie player lol
Your least favorites are both Killer Wail 5.1 and Splat Bomb ... so Vanilla Inkbrush? xD
What about Line marker?
I mean line marker is pretty easy to face it doesnt really give me any issues
