The energy on that stage is amazing. You can feel the raw emotion in every single note. The jam that they seemed to hit from 4:57 until the end of the song was just mind shattering. Absolutely incredible. Heaviest acoustic concert I've ever seen.

This maybe one of the last authentic rock songs of the 90s that took everything that happened from earlier in the decade and went an extra step with it, it's a mix of grunge and the unplugged rock of the mid-90s... a style that nobody has since taken up and run with, so it still sounds fresh even though this was over 20 years ago now and the core framework even older.. it's like the last gasp of a world going down...

R.I.P. to all of the 90s grunge legends. What an era of music that we got to witness. I was born in 1990 and didnt get to truly witness the brilliance of these bands live but the entire 90s grunge scene lives on inside me.
I loved the way Travis Meeks was able to use an accoustic guitar to make metal. I have songs from their first album on many of my playlists. I'm sure there are many of us who would love to see a reunion tour and album.
Ha that's me and my friends refer to them as acoustic metal. 🤘 I think I overplayed the first one, but I honestly go back to it and it still feels fresh to me. The 2nd album nudges out as tops for me, but I love all three.
Todd and Travis's voices blend so well. Todd has a chilling voice and some incredible chops and ability to display both (study early tantric) This is special stuff.

Right on! I saw them in '98 in Portland, Or... also with Metallica and Cantrell. At the time, I didn't really care about DOTN and pretty much looked past them...after all, I was there to see Cantrell and Metallica......But then I experienced these guys! when they tool the stage = mind thoroughly blown! They were the best part of that entire show that night and arguably one the BEST live shows that I have EVER seen since.
i love the way he does his own lengthy jam, so easily and effectively, on the song, you dont see that anymore...reminds you bit of zeppelin on their boots. today the music is too structured with the formula of verse chorus verse bridge
Saw them in concert in 98,and contour with them were Godsmack , Fuel and Collective Soul. Fantastic concert too! Love his voice so talented. I bought this CD and the one with Enemy but it didn't receive good comments by the critic's I thought well I fkn love it Too bad andad meth got the best of him
YES!! I saw the same concert too in Pensacola and it was a bad ass concert too! I pay$50 for two tickets the best $50 I ever spent. I have both CDs too. I thought the second one was good it was very different from the first one

After Ogden the Metallica tour went on to play Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas, & San Diego on Sept 23, 2008. Then the guys in DotN went on to do a few more one-off type shows the final 2 shows I'm aware of with original band are Louisville, KY Oct 24, 2008 & Dallas, TX Nov 5, 2008 - the next night was sched for New Orleans but was cancelled.
