Why people keep arguing about the 'lava is hotter than fire' thing... Ace jumps in to protect Luffy if he avoided the attack using his Logia powers Luffy will be dead. That was the purpose of this move to stop the attack

Because that was the reason stated for why it killed him. If it said Ace let the attack hit him to block it or Akainu used haki we wouldn't mention it. It is directly stated that he died because lava is hotter than fire which is why it is mentioned.

Dipanjan Dutta I don’t it’s a theory. But the fruits are like containers for the devils themselves. When those containers are consumed, the being that consumed it becomes the new container. Since those new containers need a blood stream, I’d say it’s safe to assume they also have a life span. So the same should apply to the fruits themselves. Eventually they should rot and the power should transfer.

Considering people keep their clothes, pretty obviously. What's more interesting in this regard is how would a _zoan_ interact with that? The clothes of zoan users seem to adjust to them somewhat, but not perfectly, as seen with Kaku's hat.

You're miss remembering Roshinota's death. The chest Law was in was taken by the family, and during the clash with the marines showing Law climbed out of the chest in the confusion, and Roshinota was just laying in the snow the whole time.

Vegapunk probably doesn't have a DF, but I do think that if a DF exists that can enhance someones smartness, then a scan scan fruit could be great. Like you basically obtain photographic memory.
Hopefully not. I personally think having Vegapunk eat a fruit that increases intelligence won't be nearly as interesting. Better character development is just having him be a smart character.

Technically even if Kuma was brain dead his body should still have the fruit since some how you can give an inanimate object a Devil fruit but the again the objects we see that have devil fruits are all zones and by what have been observe with the smile users in Kaido's crew the animals have its own personality so it may be different when it comes to a paramecia/logia fruits being given to inanimate objects

It's interesting how Oda does devil fruits. One person can have the fruit and use it ok or bad and then someone else gets it and could put it to dangerous use if they are smarter with it.

Can't believe I didn't think of this earlier but since we know that a devil fruit can bypass reincarnation by being inside another viable container that could be how Blackbeard gained the Gura-Gura no mi. When he was covered by the tarp he turned intangible and absorbed Whitebeards body and since the devil fruit had a new container available that's how he absorbed it.

No, I think his epithet in Japanese "人食い" which literally means to eat people or a cannibal, is a saying in Japanese that can mean to troll people or insult them.
Or it might be because of his carnivore ass like teeth.

@@wowforever211 Even tho its not 100% confirmed, remember, Caesar left the apples around Smiley on purpose, which indicates that the power really goes to the nearest fruit, since he has scientific knowledge and would make sure he kept the Sara Sara no mi for later use. Also, Burges had a bag, probably full of normal fruits, in Dressrosa, he was pretty confident he could get the Gomu Gomu no mi from Luffy just by killing him. Anyways, from a storytelling perspective, Oda has been making very clear that the power tends to go to the nearest fruit, it wouldnt make any narrative sense for him to have included the Smiley moment if that wasnt the case. (Btw, the Black Beard pirates being able to consistently steal Devil Fruits pretty much confirms it)

I think that's because it may be a part of their body it's outside of it so maybe being outside the body makes it impossible to turn into one or maybe it's because of law's op op powers
1. The heart seems to be trapped by the Ope-ope no mi
2. Logias dont automatically turn to their elements, crocodile is the closest to that and he trained to do it reflexively, so he still has to consciously do it. She was not aware of her hearts situation, so she couldnt change it.

I am ready for this test! I think Corazon's Nagi Nagi no Mi is with the marines, I wouldn't be surprised if at somepoint sengoku or someone (possibly in sword since we dont know who or how long its been around) found corazon's body and if they knew of devil fruit reincarnation they may have looked for it. I def support the Monet's Yuki Yuki no Mi being on the Sunny. I would classify Kuma as alive especially with the possibility of his true persona (5, sorry for the pun) being brought back to consciousness. With the Bari Bari and Mane Mane no Mis I think it makes sense for it to have either ended up with someone on wano who ventured out and then there were a series of owners, or it ended up as a fruit on a merchant ship and then ended up in a place that would allow for Bartolomeo/Bon Clay to get their respective fruits. For Absolom to return as a corpse I don't really see a point, he wasnt the most formidable fighter and his devil fruit was what really made him a threat. So aside from shock value I dont see a point to his return. Big Mom def ate Mother Caramel, unless someone has the teleportation fruit that doesnt take your clothes with you lol. For Blackbeard in terms of having multiple fruits the multiple soul/personality theory is starting to seem closer to fact especially with that Zoro quote. As to how he got it, I think it would be interesting if instead of his Yami Yami no Mi allowing him to take devil fruit abilites, it is possible that Blackbeard has complete knowledge on the devil fruit cycle and with that knowledge stole the Gura Gura no Mi and the Invisibility fruit and then fed it to Shiryu. And lastly I think Toki is still alive, you are absolutely right that she would be too smart to leave such a powerful fruit to chance as to where it would end up!

Absalom Death was pretty sad for Gecko Moria and it seems they wanted him alive for knowledge of the power he has but I think he died trying fight them. Also I think after frankie returned to the Sunny was the moment Kuma stopped being alive (a man only dies when hes forgotten)
From a tactical stand point, the ability to block sound is priceless. Imagine, an army that has it's leaders silenced.... In a battle, or war, even, that would decide a whole lot.
