My knee jerk reaction was you were talking about light but I failed to see how that would be connected to devil fruits, other than their color. But that's just an indirect consequence of the fruits inherent chemical properties. You can't change the wavelengths reflected or absorbed from devil fruits without changing their chemical properties. The only real scientific thing that makes sense to me is you were referring to the wavelengths of the quantum wave functions or DeBroglie wavelengths of the fruits. Interestingly enough this wavelength is related to the momentum of the particles, so if you could somehow change the wavelength and hold the velocity of the atoms in the fruit constant, then the only thing that could change is it's mass and hence it's chemical properties. I have no idea how you would go about doing this though or if it is even possible.
Honestly, I wouldn't want Vegapunk to upgrade Franky at all. Inspire him maybe, but I want Franky and his equipment to be all his own work, he deserves to be the reason he is strong, not because someone else made him stronger.
It could be they collab together to improve him Franky making the improvements himself but from ideas given by Vegapunk from noticing flaws Franky didn't notice till they were shown to him

I would be happy with a gag upgrade for Franky. For example, Vegapunk can put a cup holder in the shogun so that Franky can enjoy sipping on Cola or tea or whatever when he fights.
Similarly, I've assumed that Usopp uses a slingshot because it gives him more control over the projectile. With a gun you're just aiming, while with a slingshot Usopp can control the force, spin, direction, etc. allowing Usopp to better control the properties of his shots.

Their weapons apparently have a limit to how far they can reach. The Kabuto slingshot fires further than that, also they mentioned that at the distance he was at it was hard to see him.
I want Ussop to get like a backpack device that can infuse different chemicals into his Pop Greens, so his plant rounds have different abilities. Like if Ussop shoots green star: Devil, it becomes a flaming version or maybe a ice version. Like a slight altering of his pop greens with maybe a different elemental effect.

No chopper has cheated and skipped the hard work part ,until chopper is on the brink of death in battle he won't awaken or get stronger ... because as far as we know an zoan has to put in hard work mastering their zoan. so far every zoan has cheated upgrading their form or to weak willed like the impel guards. Rob lucci will be the first zoan besides Luffy that is 100% Awakened and utilizes it.

Maybe animals who eat the fruit work different then when humans eat the fruit. Like maybe it was made with only the intent for human usage but once an animal like chopper ate it, it changed the workings a bit. Wouldn’t be crazy.
For Luffy, Vegapunk can just make meat flavored nutrition bars/food pills that a single bite would be enough to fill even Luffy's stomache so he could recover his strength. It would be a more convenient version of the pocket meat he had in ennies lobby. As for Zoro just give him a navigation device.
I honestly think Usopp’s reasoning for still using a slingshot is twofold- it gives him multiple contact points to adjust not just trajectory but also speed and power, and it lets him use multiple types of ammo that don’t have remotely the same shape or size. So Usopp might be more in line for an ammo upgrade. When fully-grown, the Kabuto should be able to yEEt full-size artillery shells. Perhaps the Kabuto could use a boost in maximum launching power though, as even at its biggest the thing it launched needed booster stages to get it to its target which isn’t ideal. But with some way to boost its power without putting that strain on Usopp, he could unleash much larger projectiles on a regular basis and drop 100kg bombs through the decks of enemy ships if needed, filling dual roles of sniper and artillery as the Kabuto’s size expansion was always intended to allow for.
Dude I really hope usopp and Franky get weapon upgrades, but Chopper gets Rumble Ball Upgrades to stay in it significantly longer and be much stronger faster and regenerate better like Lucci

I think Vegapunk will tell Chopper that he has been developing the rumble balls under the assumption that his fruit was just a standard human fruit, but that it is actually the model "Yeti" fruit. He will then assist him in making the changes needed to perfect them and allow him to become a Yeti that will last longer, with a body type similar to the yeti coolbrothers.
Crazy Things I’d like to see VP do as far as upgrades: Usopp: implement sea prism to the kabuto to aid him agains DF users, along with increasing its range. Franky: this is just a crackpot idea here, but what If Franky could somehow line his lasers with Sea prism? Also turn his strong right into sea prism bullets or rapid fire beams. Upgrade Franky shogun. Add anti grav tech? Nami: upgraded clima tacht. I think it being turned into more of a classic staff would be cool. Where she can just straight up control weather without the weather eggs, etc. powered by Zeus. Sanji: analyze his body and explain what his powers are. Make a new suit for him that amplifies his abilities/allows him to burn hotter for longer. Purple fire incoming? Chopper: remove side effects from rumble balls, amplify effects, maybe could even create some kind of gear for him to use in combat that can change size with him to fit as he changes forms and give him new books for him to learn from. As far as the rest of the Strawhats, there’s not much for direct upgrades that could be done I don’t think. Maybe VP can help Robin, Brooke, and Chopper with awakening their fruits? With Luffy he could explain what his awakening actually is. Could probably explain what black blades are to Zoro. Maybe with the sunny he could add anti grav tech, give it sea prism lining, upgrade the cola power system and the coup-de-burst and add retractable wings to use in conjunction?

I think you had some ideas for upgrades. However, brooke, chopper, robin and Luffy could all benefit from Vegapunk by him helping them awaken their fruits (if possible) and how to control or stay in those forms longer. Also, true awakenings give you the flame/cloud arm band thing. But Katakuri and Doffy didnt have that. Is it only a Zoan awakening thing?
15:40 here's an idea: maybe Vegapunk didn't invent objects eating DFs, it's a natural phenomenon he discovered. Remember, Tama's teapot from Wano ate a tanuki fruit, and I doubt VP has ever set foot there, or that the teapot was from somewhere else. Since we now know that DFs and bloodline elements are somehow linked, maybe Zeus, himself created from the Soul-Soul Fruit, somehow managed to imbue the Clima-Tact with a residual bloodline element modification. The CT is alive, so to speak.

Another idea for Brook: Not exactly sure what, maybe special cloth, but something that plays with his light weight. Hes already light and fast enough to walk on water, if theres some way to enhance that i could really see Brook filling the role of ultimate Speedstar. Or: The opposite, a form of kilo kilo / ton ton no mi, a way he can increase his weight.
Nami would be really interesting, Vegapunk has already shown an interest in controlling the weather, so Nami just casually having a weapon that "controls" the weather would be interesting enough for him
1. Franky makes his own unique take on the Raid Suits having been educated further by Vegapunk beforehand . He takes the Raid suit technology and implements the tech in the gloves which can hit light projections into them as well as coating technology. Each one has its own unique capability and they're called the Super Cola suits each strawhat has a different colored suit named after a type of soda. Luffy is Super Cherry, Zoro is Super Lime, Sanji is Super Root Beer, Nami is super Orange etc etc etc. 2. While at Elbaf Vegapunk and Franky put their heads together to upgrade Usopps weapon so that pop greens can now grow from it and he is also given a hammer with seastone . 3. Franky uses the knowledge he obtained from Vegapunk to upgrade himself the ship and the Franky battle vehicles as well as Shogun .
Dudee I just realized that vega punk mastered devil fruits, and can easily make devil fruit weapons, or customize the weapons too fit the devil fruits perfectly, like he could give robin knuckle dusters that multiply with her fruit, same with luffy and brooke
It would be cool if Vegapunk made a devil fruit for Zoro's sword, since we now know inanimate objects can eat Devil Fruits Oda kind of humored the idea of it but thats definitely no guarantee

Chopper- rumble ball upgrade, bring back his find weakness move. Potential new form, basically Superman but as a deer mink? Jinbe- water grenades- basically give Jinbe a clime attack to make it rain or create water for him to use Fishman karate more easily on land. i can see usopp getting some sniper scope goggles upgrade and some gloves that boost his strength to be able to get off longer shots from the black kabuto, or the kabuto getting a cyber upgrade and or bring back the dial technology like the jet dial
imo it should go like this: Luffy - useless trinkets that have flashing lights and make silly noises. Maybe a meat grinder. Zoro - nada, he doesn't care, might grab the lightsaber but would consider it unnecessary Sanji - the invisibility VP showed when he bailed on Luffy's group (for obvious reasons). Swim-Swim for Jinbe would be hilarious - but we don't know whether that would axe his ability to swim, and would be a rehash of S-Shark. He might keep the Hawaiian shirt. Franky would possibly grab some blueprints and rework them to suit his needs (in a perverted way). Doubt a straight up upgrade, more likely he's inspired Gauntlets for Robin could be cool (RKK(izaru) would break OP). Maybe a scanner of sorts to make her research easier Nami imo could go two ways - Clima Takt upgrade as far as mechanics go, or weather-related fruit for it (doubt VP would have the lineage factor for Dragon's supposed fruit, plus that being a logia might be way too hard). More likely she steals hi-tech shit and sells is on black market tbh. Chopper - uh, hi-tech drug manufacture setup? Or some knowledge on obscure medicine Brook - probably X-ray glasses because pantsu. Might turn it down because that's not the gentleman's way Usopp - amphetamine stash so he goes berserk instead of being useless in any situation he's not fighting a child. Or an uh, unalive vest so he can go out in a blaze of glory. Anything that would make him interesting. Alternatively it's all QoL trinkets - whetstones for Zoro, kitchen setup for Sanji, advanced toolkit for Franky, panties synthesizer for Brook. Small stuff that wouldn't direcly push them overboard as far as their strength goes
A good upgrade for Ussop is if he could incorporate 2 reject dials into kabuto, one to charge up (maybe with a kong gun from luffy) and another to catch the rebound of the charged reject dial when the charge is released, you then flip the second reject dial to face the enemy, use it, and make the first reject dial catch the rebound of the second reject dial, and so on. You'd basically create an infinite loop of whatever attack you initially charged into the dial, and each release will be amplified because a reject dial amplifies whatever you put into it. There could be a limit to how much a reject dial could do this, which is why no one has done such an obvious application on sky island, but maybe Vegapunk can help regulate the energy when it gets to the breaking point so it doesn't overload.
What if Franky power up is for a short amount of time he can exchange his cola out for Green blood and get the powers of a devil fruit for a short amount of time

I see the Strawhats actually NOT succeding in their Vegapunk extraction mission. CP0 killing the main Vegapunk body and making it as though the SH did the killing themselves. That way, the WG can undermine the influence of Luffy's crew around the world because they killed the genius that brought so much joy to the world.
Since Robin makes such heavy use of her devil fruit in combat, I think the biggest boons Vegapunk could offer her would incorporate his study of the strengths and weaknesses of said fruit. Like, he could add a way to protect her main body from the damage done to the parts she creates. Or he could make a set of gloves with features that can apply both to her main hands and any extra hands she creates.

Usopp's slingshots are already a step above guns. At Enies Lobby, he easily outdistanced the navy's rifles and that was back when he was still getting used to his last upgrade tier. With his current weapon, he basically landed the equivalent of a perfect headshot from across a small country. His slingshots have more in common with precise orbital cannons at this point than sniper rifles, especially given their potential payloads.
Vegapunk to Usopp: There's an injection that will augment your Kabuto's ability to utilize armament haki of it's own. Have fun! Vegapunk to Franky: Here's a machine that can convert seawater to cola. The efficiency is a little down, but you can compensate with volume. And considering it's using seawater... Vegapunk to Nami: That climatact of yours is _facinating._ You're saying this is Big Mom's soul? Let's try feeding your staff a paramecia devil fruit and see if Zeus can do anything with that.
I'd want Robin to get spy gear more than weaponry. Like, maybe a tool to see through walls so she can get around her fruit's range limit by one layer. Or a super hearing aid. Something like that.
I originally theorized that dials became more prominent on the blue sea because when Birka was destroyed the rubble fell into the sea. My theory was basically that sailors or merchants are actively excavating these dials and selling them in droves which has lead to them becoming more common place. But the Vegapunk figured out dials theory seems more plausible.
If chopper has the human human fruit with like no model just the human fruit, his awakening could actually be the pinnacle of humanity. Just really smart and really strong. Just an ultra buff.
Luffy: gear 5 snake man or choppers rumble ball? Maybe sole contact training from nami so he can master lightning? Zoro: island scanner/GPS. It tells zoro directions. Usopp: neo kabuto. Can now store kinetic energy and use said energy to empower attacks. Sanji: sea prism shoes. Nami: oasis climatact: nami cam now make micro environments she chooses. This uses the weather manipulation and the pop greens to temporarily change the terrain. Chopper: para ball: enhances the power of paramecia's by temporarily awakening their power. Smile ball: temporarily gives the user a zoan ability depending on the users favorate animal. Robin: armament haki & observation haki. Franky: pop-green/battle franky 39: franky can now create genetically modified pop greens that can use his attacks and usopps attacks Brook: punk-keytar: brook can now play any note and have it produce a shock wave. Jinbe: rokushiki (finger pistol, tempest kick, skywalk, and rokuogon) he can mix fishman karate with it and create a new martial art.
If Jinbei goes for anything, I would think maybe some armor of some kind; probably not a straight-up suit of armor, but maybe some armguards or shinguards of some kind...maybe ones that particularly have some sort of special negative effect on anyone who strikes them?
That would be kinda cool, but usopp's slingshot is kind of an iconic weapon and it would feel wrong to replace it. Also he might not be able to use things like the pop greens.

Dunno if this has been brought up, but in Vegapunk's flashback it was Hajrudin, Goldberg and Gerd who were fishing out the books from Ohara's lake. Basically, it looks like Saul thawed out of the ice, got marked by flames, and then meet with the New Giant Warrior Pirates, and it was thanks to them that Saul got the books to Elbaf
My question is isnt there still one slot in the Sunnys Soldier Dock system free, if I remember correctly then pre timeskip it was two times zero for the shovel wheels, one for Namis Waver, two for the Little Lamp, three the shark submarine and slot four was empty and then post Timeskip the two zero slots were removed\turned into slots 5 and 6 because Franky build a turbine underneath the Sunny and the the previously empty slot 4 is the Rhino motorbike, 5 is the Brachio tank and then 6 is empty so maybe Vegapunk could build somethng for that slot that is also combinable with the Franky shogun.
Ussop does not use a gun because he can better control a sling shot than a gun. Even though he is jacked to handle a gun, the pop green might not agree with a gun powder. vega punk might give a solution to that though which will be amazing if you think about it.
As for possible upgrades Zorro might ask for, the only one I can think of would be if he told Vegapunk about what Shu's use of the rust rust fruit did to one of his swords and request a way to protect his swords from that and similar effects.
Now for Upgrades I can only see a good portion of the crew getting them when this arc is about over like: - Franky I can see getting not only his cyborg body becoming BF-39 while the General Franky becoming BF-40, but earlier in the arc I thought that Spandam was going to Egghead which I thought would be a good opportunity for Franky to get Funkfreed since his sword the Franken was destroyed by Sasaki so now I like to think he might get a new one either that was given a Devil Fruit or made of the Liquor Iron Ore that was mentioned - Nami I do see her Clama-Tact being upgraded since thats Zeus job so I can see her getting a device that can protect her maybe something like Heradas had in the anime that protected him from rain & strong wind - Usopp I an see since his Kuro Kabuto can literally eat something Vegapunk can give it a Devil Fruit or maybe enhanced goggles, but since Vegapunk is so advance tech this would be a cool idea with him getting a bag is a pocket dimension - Chopper I cn see him fixing the Rumble Ball formula where unlike what Caesar did making sure Chopper doesn't have to deal with a bad side effect or maybe shape-shifting armor to enhance his other forms power - Robin I can't really see something for combat but I do have ab idea where she gets a device that can keep track of her data something like a iPad - Sanji maybe with Vegapunk's help he can make another Raid Suit that does not stink of his father even giving it to other Straw Hats

I always assumed ussop used a slingshot partly cuz he’s nice and doesn’t usually kill people and partly because he uses mostly nonstandard trick ammo.
Similarly, I've assumed that Usopp uses a slingshot because it gives him more control over the projectile. With a gun you're just aiming, while with a slingshot Usopp can control the force, spin, direction, etc. allowing Usopp to better control the properties of his shots.

Their weapons apparently have a limit to how far they can reach. The Kabuto slingshot fires further than that, also they mentioned that at the distance he was at it was hard to see him.

I honestly think Usopp’s reasoning for still using a slingshot is twofold- it gives him multiple contact points to adjust not just trajectory but also speed and power, and it lets him use multiple types of ammo that don’t have remotely the same shape or size.
So Usopp might be more in line for an ammo upgrade. When fully-grown, the Kabuto should be able to yEEt full-size artillery shells. Perhaps the Kabuto could use a boost in maximum launching power though, as even at its biggest the thing it launched needed booster stages to get it to its target which isn’t ideal. But with some way to boost its power without putting that strain on Usopp, he could unleash much larger projectiles on a regular basis and drop 100kg bombs through the decks of enemy ships if needed, filling dual roles of sniper and artillery as the Kabuto’s size expansion was always intended to allow for.
Interesting ideas.
Dude I really hope usopp and Franky get weapon upgrades, but Chopper gets Rumble Ball Upgrades to stay in it significantly longer and be much stronger faster and regenerate better like Lucci

I think Vegapunk will tell Chopper that he has been developing the rumble balls under the assumption that his fruit was just a standard human fruit, but that it is actually the model "Yeti" fruit. He will then assist him in making the changes needed to perfect them and allow him to become a Yeti that will last longer, with a body type similar to the yeti coolbrothers.

Crazy Things I’d like to see VP do as far as upgrades:
Usopp: implement sea prism to the kabuto to aid him agains DF users, along with increasing its range.
Franky: this is just a crackpot idea here, but what If Franky could somehow line his lasers with Sea prism? Also turn his strong right into sea prism bullets or rapid fire beams. Upgrade Franky shogun. Add anti grav tech?
Nami: upgraded clima tacht. I think it being turned into more of a classic staff would be cool. Where she can just straight up control weather without the weather eggs, etc. powered by Zeus.
Sanji: analyze his body and explain what his powers are. Make a new suit for him that amplifies his abilities/allows him to burn hotter for longer. Purple fire incoming?
Chopper: remove side effects from rumble balls, amplify effects, maybe could even create some kind of gear for him to use in combat that can change size with him to fit as he changes forms and give him new books for him to learn from.
As far as the rest of the Strawhats, there’s not much for direct upgrades that could be done I don’t think. Maybe VP can help Robin, Brooke, and Chopper with awakening their fruits? With Luffy he could explain what his awakening actually is. Could probably explain what black blades are to Zoro.
Maybe with the sunny he could add anti grav tech, give it sea prism lining, upgrade the cola power system and the coup-de-burst and add retractable wings to use in conjunction?

I think you had some ideas for upgrades. However, brooke, chopper, robin and Luffy could all benefit from Vegapunk by him helping them awaken their fruits (if possible) and how to control or stay in those forms longer.
Also, true awakenings give you the flame/cloud arm band thing. But Katakuri and Doffy didnt have that. Is it only a Zoan awakening thing?

15:40 here's an idea: maybe Vegapunk didn't invent objects eating DFs, it's a natural phenomenon he discovered. Remember, Tama's teapot from Wano ate a tanuki fruit, and I doubt VP has ever set foot there, or that the teapot was from somewhere else. Since we now know that DFs and bloodline elements are somehow linked, maybe Zeus, himself created from the Soul-Soul Fruit, somehow managed to imbue the Clima-Tact with a residual bloodline element modification. The CT is alive, so to speak.
I really want to see Usopp, Franky and Vegapunk chill on the Sunny together talking/working on inventions.

1. Franky makes his own unique take on the Raid Suits having been educated further by Vegapunk beforehand . He takes the Raid suit technology and implements the tech in the gloves which can hit light projections into them as well as coating technology. Each one has its own unique capability and they're called the Super Cola suits each strawhat has a different colored suit named after a type of soda. Luffy is Super Cherry, Zoro is Super Lime, Sanji is Super Root Beer, Nami is super Orange etc etc etc.
2. While at Elbaf Vegapunk and Franky put their heads together to upgrade Usopps weapon so that pop greens can now grow from it and he is also given a hammer with seastone .
3. Franky uses the knowledge he obtained from Vegapunk to upgrade himself the ship and the Franky battle vehicles as well as Shogun .
Compound bows exist that still use muscle power so I think Vegapunk giving usopp like a compound slingshot would be awesome

Brook- weaponized instruments, light saber attach to the sheath of his cane sword. Or maybe a Devil fruit for one of his swords.
Jinbe- water grenades- basically give Jinbe a clime attack to make it rain or create water for him to use Fishman karate more easily on land.
Robin- maybe special weapons or clothing that can work with her df.
Sunny- give her a zoan Devil fruit, maybe Leo Leo or Chimera df.
i can see usopp getting some sniper scope goggles upgrade and some gloves that boost his strength to be able to get off longer shots from the black kabuto, or the kabuto getting a cyber upgrade and or bring back the dial technology like the jet dial

imo it should go like this:
Luffy - useless trinkets that have flashing lights and make silly noises. Maybe a meat grinder.
Zoro - nada, he doesn't care, might grab the lightsaber but would consider it unnecessary
Sanji - the invisibility VP showed when he bailed on Luffy's group (for obvious reasons).
Swim-Swim for Jinbe would be hilarious - but we don't know whether that would axe his ability to swim, and would be a rehash of S-Shark. He might keep the Hawaiian shirt.
Franky would possibly grab some blueprints and rework them to suit his needs (in a perverted way). Doubt a straight up upgrade, more likely he's inspired
Gauntlets for Robin could be cool (RKK(izaru) would break OP). Maybe a scanner of sorts to make her research easier
Nami imo could go two ways - Clima Takt upgrade as far as mechanics go, or weather-related fruit for it (doubt VP would have the lineage factor for Dragon's supposed fruit, plus that being a logia might be way too hard). More likely she steals hi-tech shit and sells is on black market tbh.
Chopper - uh, hi-tech drug manufacture setup? Or some knowledge on obscure medicine
Brook - probably X-ray glasses because pantsu. Might turn it down because that's not the gentleman's way
Usopp - amphetamine stash so he goes berserk instead of being useless in any situation he's not fighting a child. Or an uh, unalive vest so he can go out in a blaze of glory. Anything that would make him interesting.
Alternatively it's all QoL trinkets - whetstones for Zoro, kitchen setup for Sanji, advanced toolkit for Franky, panties synthesizer for Brook. Small stuff that wouldn't direcly push them overboard as far as their strength goes

A good upgrade for Ussop is if he could incorporate 2 reject dials into kabuto, one to charge up (maybe with a kong gun from luffy) and another to catch the rebound of the charged reject dial when the charge is released, you then flip the second reject dial to face the enemy, use it, and make the first reject dial catch the rebound of the second reject dial, and so on. You'd basically create an infinite loop of whatever attack you initially charged into the dial, and each release will be amplified because a reject dial amplifies whatever you put into it. There could be a limit to how much a reject dial could do this, which is why no one has done such an obvious application on sky island, but maybe Vegapunk can help regulate the energy when it gets to the breaking point so it doesn't overload.

Since Robin makes such heavy use of her devil fruit in combat, I think the biggest boons Vegapunk could offer her would incorporate his study of the strengths and weaknesses of said fruit. Like, he could add a way to protect her main body from the damage done to the parts she creates. Or he could make a set of gloves with features that can apply both to her main hands and any extra hands she creates.

Usopp's slingshots are already a step above guns. At Enies Lobby, he easily outdistanced the navy's rifles and that was back when he was still getting used to his last upgrade tier. With his current weapon, he basically landed the equivalent of a perfect headshot from across a small country. His slingshots have more in common with precise orbital cannons at this point than sniper rifles, especially given their potential payloads.
Vegapunk to Usopp: There's an injection that will augment your Kabuto's ability to utilize armament haki of it's own. Have fun!
Vegapunk to Franky: Here's a machine that can convert seawater to cola. The efficiency is a little down, but you can compensate with volume. And considering it's using seawater...

I originally theorized that dials became more prominent on the blue sea because when Birka was destroyed the rubble fell into the sea. My theory was basically that sailors or merchants are actively excavating these dials and selling them in droves which has lead to them becoming more common place.
But the Vegapunk figured out dials theory seems more plausible.
If chopper has the human human fruit with like no model just the human fruit, his awakening could actually be the pinnacle of humanity. Just really smart and really strong. Just an ultra buff.

Sea prism lining for ships would most probably be a fine paste made of finely ground sea prism and some sort of salt water proof adhesive
If Jinbei goes for anything, I would think maybe some armor of some kind; probably not a straight-up suit of armor, but maybe some armguards or shinguards of some kind...maybe ones that particularly have some sort of special negative effect on anyone who strikes them?

Whoa, I am only now realizing that based on last chapter, there is probably a Vegapunk wanted poster. And there likely will be one again soon.
My question is isnt there still one slot in the Sunnys Soldier Dock system free, if I remember correctly then pre timeskip it was two times zero for the shovel wheels, one for Namis Waver, two for the Little Lamp, three the shark submarine and slot four was empty and then post Timeskip the two zero slots were removed\turned into slots 5 and 6 because Franky build a turbine underneath the Sunny and the the previously empty slot 4 is the Rhino motorbike, 5 is the Brachio tank and then 6 is empty so maybe Vegapunk could build somethng for that slot that is also combinable with the Franky shogun.
Ussop does not use a gun because he can better control a sling shot than a gun. Even though he is jacked to handle a gun, the pop green might not agree with a gun powder. vega punk might give a solution to that though which will be amazing if you think about it.
As for possible upgrades Zorro might ask for, the only one I can think of would be if he told Vegapunk about what Shu's use of the rust rust fruit did to one of his swords and request a way to protect his swords from that and similar effects.

Now for Upgrades I can only see a good portion of the crew getting them when this arc is about over like:
- Franky I can see getting not only his cyborg body becoming BF-39 while the General Franky becoming BF-40, but earlier in the arc I thought that Spandam was going to Egghead which I thought would be a good opportunity for Franky to get Funkfreed since his sword the Franken was destroyed by Sasaki so now I like to think he might get a new one either that was given a Devil Fruit or made of the Liquor Iron Ore that was mentioned
- Nami I do see her Clama-Tact being upgraded since thats Zeus job so I can see her getting a device that can protect her maybe something like Heradas had in the anime that protected him from rain & strong wind
- Usopp I an see since his Kuro Kabuto can literally eat something Vegapunk can give it a Devil Fruit or maybe enhanced goggles, but since Vegapunk is so advance tech this would be a cool idea with him getting a bag is a pocket dimension
- Chopper I cn see him fixing the Rumble Ball formula where unlike what Caesar did making sure Chopper doesn't have to deal with a bad side effect or maybe shape-shifting armor to enhance his other forms power
- Robin I can't really see something for combat but I do have ab idea where she gets a device that can keep track of her data something like a iPad
- Sanji maybe with Vegapunk's help he can make another Raid Suit that does not stink of his father even giving it to other Straw Hats
I think Brook could get something for his music. Maybe a music box that turns into any instrument.
Do you think Franky would want another person to upgrade his stuff? I feel like he’d so passionate, he’d want to learn but not have Vegapunk do it.
