This Machine Gun is used for bunkering down and lighting up waves of enemys. AA sight is great with this gun, you can also use this with the telescope and use this thing as a sniper, only better because you know... you gun them down. Extreamly good control with the Bipod. This is what a true machine gunner would use. Best MG in my opionion.
I’ve always preferred the aa sight over the scope I can usually aim as far as the scope anywhere so that just takes away the worries of someone seeing me with a lens’s flare
I didn't really like this gun until I used it when playing operations on Rupture on the defending team. I used the telescopic variant and stayed a bit back on a nice spot on the first sector and I was absolutely destroying the enemy team. It just cut down every one at medium to long range. I ended the round with 56 kills, it was so fun.
JP I was playing an attacking roll using this gun and when you use it to keep the enemy’s down you can make the advance easy as hell. 86 kills with my new favorite
I just unlocked it yesterday and already got a service star, I was wearing the every team out in operations on Volga river, 86 kills its my new favorite.
ComissarYarrick 1. Difference in accuracy is not minimal if talking about spread; it's literally 1-2 bullets faster at getting maximum accuracy when not on the bipod. Recoil isn't large enough to differentiate but it's a subtle positive nonetheless. 2. Twice as much ammo but a far worse reload. The Perino can always top off between engagements and not only makes up for the total ammo but it makes it the best overall LMG in terms of ammo/reload compared to the arsenal. 3. It doesn't have the advantage of a bipoded M1917 Telescopic but always will whenever off the bipod. Either way, mobility is still important and is better than the M1917. The Perino isn't irrelevant unlike how BF3/4 work. The Perino is a flexible mobile long range large capacity LMG. The M1917 is the heavy duty defensive one.
With 250 bullets the reload time isn't that big of a deal. The 130 extra bullets are more than worth waiting a bit longer for the reload. Parabellum and the new lMG 08 are the best high capacity LMGs. And the BAR and Chauchat are the best low capacity LMGs. The Perrino and Browning aren't bad but are outclassed.
Very good LMG for medium engagements. Hipfire is non-existing, so anything CQC, you're screwed. That is why I still prefer the Parabellum or BAR Telescopic. I've got 11 service stars with it already.
In my opinion the M1917 is the most well rounded LMG. I've got nearly 30 SS's with it so far. Yes, it doesn't do great at close range, but it does better than all the other long range LMGs due to its crazy ammo cap. This gun is all about positioning.
To throw in, it's something you want to take into a bigger game mode. It excels at just downing Infantry after Infantry after Infantry. It's most effective on he more heated maps.
Have you been using the BAR Storm since TTK2.0? If so, how do you feel about the patch? I want to get the BAR to 100* but haven't stuck to it since I've been having fun with Carcano and RSC.
steven color I take down those awful heavy bombers with the “strategic” kit on them.... I see them all over Sinai desert. So easy to take down with the m1917, show them noob pilots what’s up

Which perino variant do you use? I love the lmgs but so far the perino is my least favourite next to the overused BAR or as I like to call it: the Boring And Repetitive
I love this gun, I already have almost 20 service stars with it. It's an absoulte beast!! You gotta have a good sidearm for close quarter fights though!
@@natesworldyt9450 oh yeah I’ve gotten way more since I’ve commented this it’s a real good gun I just sit right behind the front line and lay down fire and get kill after kill and even if I can’t see I can still suppress
I didn’t give this gun enough credit and looked down on the telescopic variant. I was completely wrong when I hop onto operation with it. Now it’s my new go too lmg
I love taking out snipers camping from across the map with this. Once you start shooting they're suppressed and it's almost impossible for them to fire back. I spent almost an entire game clearing out campers along the mountains from the fortress on FAO
Back camping snipers ruin operations sometimes I swear although it’s funny when their supposed to be attacking and they lose because they have too many idiots just sitting in the back playing scout
Didn't care for it much after release. They I went in for the "A Escalation" Phantom skin since it literally is the best looking skin in the game and gave the gun retry. All I can say now is that I simply love it, with the new patch this gun should be renamed to "Annihilator" since it melts squads, go prone and you can add some snipers to the sack. Is it the best LMG? Well, since the newest patch things changed for better and it all depends now on the range of an encounter. For close range I would pick the Chauchat any day over this but for medium and longe range it might objectively be, the best LMG.
This gun is so inconsistent for me I get outgunned my anything higher than 450rpm its good for taking out planes cause of the high muzzle velocity and capacity
It has a relatively low muzzle velocity. Especially compared to something like the Parabellum. The Parabellum is an absolute beast, it's just the hardest one to control.
To get around the cqc problem i use a revolver and the yatagan sword or totokia (but only because i like busting holes in doors and shutters and looking through them)
Imagine a guy that could actually run around with that thing, firing it standing up, crouching, prone, throwing bases, sprinting, diving, fitting a gas mask, sniping with a scope, lmao. Dude would have to be like a navy seal. Every bf1 infantryman:
Ive got 12 going on 13 service stars with this MG for a reason. Defending a flag fron uphill cuts em' down in seconds. Many, many squad wipes. I do enjoy using it on planes too
This is literally my weapon of choice when I play support 90% of the time. I play a suppressive support build when I do play support. This weapon is great for this.
The telescopic is great for deleting those pesky snipers. With the high bullet velocity and virtually no bullet drop, you can reach them hundreds of meters away. Find some good cover, peek around the edge, find a sniper, zap, rinse repeat. Snipers are cocky and a lot of them will try to gunfight you. It's hilarious to watch them dancing back and forth in your stream of bullets, trying to get off a shot at you, and then running for their lives when the bullets just keep coming at them.
Surprised you didn't mention about how it continued to see service as the M1919 air cooled variant - which if I"m honest, the version in BF1 actually seems to resemble in usage if not necessarily form (particularly the very late WW2-era M1919A6 and the earlier M1919A1).
for some reason it wont work i cant unlock any guns at all it do everything it tells me to do and it still wont unlock the wepon any one else having this problem?
Will you do a c93 carbine Video soon? I’m curious about that weapon and whether I want it. I love these guides! They’re super helpful informative and honestly entertains and very well done! Keep it up and I’ll keep watching!
Glad you like the content dude, unfortunately I can't get hold of any stats for the C93 carbine (just the pistol) but if they become available in the future, I'll probably make a guide on it
I find this weapon works best at holding back an entire enemy team at a choke point. The tunnels at Fort De Vaux come to mind. I have more than once gotten over 30+ kills in one life simply by non-stop firing at a doorway when the enemy is trying to push through.
My go to DLC machine gun because it combines m1909 damage model with Perino model 1908 magazine capacity making this more accurate than the MG14/17 parabellum for its high recoil and high fire rate making that weapon worse for 45-100 meters support class combat
I really like it, but I can't let myself use it because it makes absolutely no sense for a soldier to be lugging around a 100 lb gun with 500 rounds of ammo all on his own. I know there are plenty of things that take away from the immersion, but that huge gun is a constant reminder
Lou McGopher in a real firefight when adrenaline is kicking in. I seen people shoulder fire weapons like the MG240B. Its plausible someone could do it.
Lou McGopher The Support player is extremely manly, with strength and stamina that are superhuman in comparison to your typical pencil-necked Scout or Medic. Carrying that bad boy around the battlefield is childs play for a support man. I often make a bandolier out of my chest hair so I can carry another 1000 rounds or so.
Lou McGopher well yeah but BF1 never claimed to be historically accurate. The only things that are actually WW1 like are the armies and some of the battles. Not even the combat is like WW1. The game is only contextualized in WW1, but that’s about it. Accuracy isn’t exactly its forte.
It's a good LMG as long as no one has a bead on your position. But as soon as someone sees you, you're generally outclassed because by the time they start shooting you, you won't have time to target and kill them with the slow RPM of this gun. This is why the Parabellum and IMG 08/18 are your best choices for LMGs... And if you know how to control the beast then nothing will beat the Parabellum in the support class.... Nothing. It can even down targets at long ranges if you can get it bipoded.
Kris, can you tell a newbie like me: what Low Weight variant actually do? How the benefits of this variant are actually “felt” compared to, let’s say, optical?
Xan Saibot Low Weight LMGs benefit the same way Factory SMGs do: quicker recoil recovery, meaning overall more stable firing and improved consistency while on the move
LGPanthers1low weight variant's use iron sights and or AA- sights, which i prefer over the optical sights as i feel they are more accurate at close to medium range closer to my play style, you'll have faster aim down sights speed with low weight variant's also... Perino looks kinda pointless after introduction of this gun. Diffrence in accuracy is minimal, and browning have more 2x ammo and a lot better sights.
