PATCHED 01/2018: Fires 12 pellets, (Hunter) Max damage - 10 up to 14 meters, Min damage - 5 at 21 meters, (Backbored) Max damage - 10 up to 12 meters, Min damage - 5 at 19 meters, Horizontal recoil - 0.9 (Sweeper) Max damage - 12.5 up to 10 meters, Min damage - 4.2 at 16 meters
KriticalKris what can u say about the hellfighter trench gun? On the in game stats says it has more damage than the backbore one. Is the hellfighter trench better than the backbore trench gun?
cool fun fact about the 1897 that made it so effective in combat is you can pull the trigger just one time hold it back and every time you pump the gun as soon as the pump closes the action it will fire the next round making it as fast or close to as fast as an automatic shot gun/ aka it has the ability to slam fire which most modern shot guns will not do but alot of older shot guns did
this thing is the best shotgun IMO, it's shorter range than the 10-A but when you come around a corner and see 2-3 enemies you can just pump out rounds with this thing. it's the best if you're using it like shotguns are supposed to be used.
Again, Americans counteracted that by threatening Germans that they execute anyone caught using a flamethrower or a saw-bladed bayonet. I'd rather survive a shotgun blast rather than be burned by a flametrooper cause you're guaranteed to die and you don't have to suffer much as being burned and then live the rest of your life like that. Better off dead rather than burned and scared of fire.
You forgot to mention that the Trench Gun is "fully automatic". You can hold down the fire button and it will shoot as soon as your character is done pumping the shotgun. This is also how the real Trench Gun works, holding down the trigger will enable it to shoot as soon as it is pumped.
Btw its fully automatic as it has no trigger disconnecter so if the trigger is held down the cycling of the pump will cause the next shell to fire immediately
A disconnector is a device used to prevent the trigger from following the hammer after a fire cycle. It's designed to prevent firing another round unless the trigger is released. It's pretty much common on all semiautomatic weapons and shotguns made after WWII. Since the Model 1897, Model 1912 and Ithaca 1937 lack it, there is nothing to interrupt the firing cycle so you can just hold the trigger down and when you send the action forward the hammer will follow with it and delivers a boom.
Malte Molin ww1 and ww2 he brought back a enemy type 98 or type somthing from a Japanese soldier in Iwo Jima and a lee enfield if u want to find out about all these weapons check out hickok45 he a good gun reviewer and if u ask I'm Australian so my great great grandfather fought in Gallipoli
The sentry kit from bf1 is gonna mow u down Omaha beach was in Normandy and it was one of the American landing zones against the Germans not the Japanese. So I'm not sure how he got a Japanese weapon from a German. I also wasn't aware of the Australians landing in Normandy at all.
Note for PC users: shotguns have 100 hip fire, so there is no difference between aiming down sights and hip fire in terms of where pellets go and how they spread. *KriticalKris*, I guess you ADS for aim assist?
+Zodh According to Symthic, shotguns actually have a lower spread reading of 0 when in ads, as opposed to 0.40 (standing) when hip-fired, which is the main reason I tend to use it. (it's also a bit of a habit I guess)
You can buy a reproduction at a gun shop for $150. Uberti, Norinco and Navy Arms all make them. And a shotgun's ACTUAL lethal range with buckshot is forty meters, with a spread of one inch per meter. No videogame I have ever played has ever done shotguns right, except Medal Of Honor 2010.
good video kris. Keep it up :) I have one question though. I just have no clue what the name of this weapon in Battlefield1 is. It's like the cei rigotti but somehow fully automatic. In the video "dabbing in Battlefield 1" by "Matimi0" he uses the weapon in the beginning. Can you please make a review of that weapon? :)
kris, could you confirm that the hellfighter version deals more damage than the normal backbored variant? if you check the weapon stats in game (where you see the number of kills and service stars), it appears it deals 63 damange, more than the normal backbored and just 1 less than the hunter.
I feel like it should be overpowered in this game games in general tend to nerf shotguns because of their effectiveness there's a reason the Germans complained about the US using these...
I always take either my Remington 870 Magnum or my browning deer hunter golden on the firld for close quarters as a sniper I can say theese is pretty realistic games execpt shoguns have much longer range hand this got a driect hit at 200 yards with a 12g Magnum round but I have to make an execption that the shotgun shells had less of a primer and and smaller pellets+much wider spread on the old shotguns
My theory is that the Germans where jealous that America had produced a powerful shotgun that could go on a killing spree with the German Empire, so they thought enough wad enough and began threatening them
Andrew Smith why? The only difference between it and the factory version (the sweeper is a different beast, so I cant quite compare) is that the factory has a slightly wider spread and recovers from recoil faster and has less recoil, while the hunter has a slightly tighter cone of fire and slightly more recoil.

droppin plates shot one in real-life. It's an amazing feature. Scary until you get used to it though.
I had a Ithaca Model 37 that was the same way.
droppin plates it's called slam fire
how is this supposed to be cool
the same result can allegorically be made when "fanning the hammer" on an SA revolver
1910s German's logic: use poison gas and flame throwers but complains about shotguns...seems legit.
Ghost 2224 CT0226 just imagine this argument is WW2, shotguns
m.ruclips.net/video/Z0D6p3w2qgY/видео.html watch this also he worked on the game
Well the entente also used poison gas almost immediately after the germans started using it, but the germans never started using shotguns
Well theres counter to gas, tho i dont agree with them on the use , shotgun leave horrific wounds if u survive which is somewhat unethical.
WAR_Falcon any weapon can leave a horrific wound. Shotguns if anything guarantee the kill.
People do know this shotgun is slam fire right? Just hold down the trigger it's like full auto.
Shhhhh. Let bajur do that
Baker Tankersley oh yeah
Introducing the automatic shotgun
I realized that until I was level 40
i actually just accidentally found that out
I have one of these, it has the marks that it’s been used in WW1. These guns are awesome
this thing is the best shotgun IMO, it's shorter range than the 10-A but when you come around a corner and see 2-3 enemies you can just pump out rounds with this thing. it's the best if you're using it like shotguns are supposed to be used.
The Sweeper variant is nasty
Threatens captured soldiers with death for carrying a shotgun
Uses Gas, flamethrowers and attacked neutral Belgium
Seems legit
Again, Americans counteracted that by threatening Germans that they execute anyone caught using a flamethrower or a saw-bladed bayonet.
I'd rather survive a shotgun blast rather than be burned by a flametrooper cause you're guaranteed to die and you don't have to suffer much as being burned and then live the rest of your life like that. Better off dead rather than burned and scared of fire.
German Empire: "Shotguns are op, Hague, plz nerf !"
This gun is your best friend in Rush honestly, good for sweeping out enemies when you're defending or attacking a sector
You forgot to mention that the Trench Gun is "fully automatic". You can hold down the fire button and it will shoot as soon as your character is done pumping the shotgun. This is also how the real Trench Gun works, holding down the trigger will enable it to shoot as soon as it is pumped.
ScrubAldo it's called slam-fire I think
you can hold down the trigger on the m97 and it slamfires
Jayden Vilaranda Finally a explanation for why the shotgun shoot fast despite being pump action
Germens: NO SHOTGUNS!
Americans: No flamethrowers!
Germens: Well fuck
Btw its fully automatic as it has no trigger disconnecter so if the trigger is held down the cycling of the pump will cause the next shell to fire immediately
"Slamfire"
What is a trigger disconnecter?

Slam fired mate
it's called slam firing, not fully automatic
I remember my great great grandfather having one of these bad boys
The sentry kit from bf1 is gonna mow u down Did he fought in Ww1 or Ww2?
Malte Molin ww1 and ww2 he brought back a enemy type 98 or type somthing from a Japanese soldier in Iwo Jima and a lee enfield if u want to find out about all these weapons check out hickok45 he a good gun reviewer and if u ask I'm Australian so my great great grandfather fought in Gallipoli
The sentry kit from bf1 is gonna mow u down I didn't know the Australians fought in Iwo Jima
Tyler Breslow he fought in Omaha beach
The sentry kit from bf1 is gonna mow u down Omaha beach was in Normandy and it was one of the American landing zones against the Germans not the Japanese. So I'm not sure how he got a Japanese weapon from a German. I also wasn't aware of the Australians landing in Normandy at all.
I love that shotgun
PlizNerfKolibri Which variant is the best?
Kyle Mahoney sweeper u will not be pissed
Nick Culafic the hellfighter variant is a reskin of the backbored.
DarkInfernape65 You mean the hunter*
Glad these videos are here really helps with gun selection
the sweeper is my jam
Note for PC users: shotguns have 100 hip fire, so there is no difference between aiming down sights and hip fire in terms of where pellets go and how they spread.

the shotgun that literally describes America!
Plays dirty and makes the enemy hate it?
@@benabad4186 wat
The first recorded use of overpowered weapons
You can buy a reproduction at a gun shop for $150. Uberti, Norinco and Navy Arms all make them.

Weirdly enough i like the sweeper the most
Same, I seem to do better with it than the other variants.
a bayonet on a shotgun looks really cool
I like your videos but why don't you ever show yourself getting killed in BF1?
2Stonefly *whispering* he never dies.....lol
Probably because he’s showing off the gun
Actually, the Germans did use a shotgun but it was designed to fire slugs instead of buckshot.
Ocirne Dranyer What was the shotgun called?
Ocirne Dranyer The german's shotgun?
It was called the M30 Luftwaffe Drilling. Although only the German barely use it in World War 2.
Hey kris you haven’t uploaded in a few days just wondering how you’re holding up with the corona virus going around
I'm gonna get something out soon buddy, glad you noticed btw. No virus, just personal stuff.
KriticalKris k man keep up the good work
Excellent Video Kris
Can't believe I was playing this game at 16-17 now I'm 21
Wait until you're 42 like me and people are making historical documentaries about games you used to play like like t original Doom.
Well, to be honest, with the role this thing was used for, I don’t think foes would be receiving medical treatment soon.
You should do a review on the mounted machine guns located on the maps
why can't this gun hold 6 shells? load 5. pump. load one more?
rubberwoody Research your guns m8
Dano GD1 lol I think your the one who needs to research guns. What he said is completely true.
yes, 5+1 in the pipe
games, for some reason, tend to not put that feature in
Great vids chris
Well... now this shotgun is in Battlefield V
Technically 4 variants due to the Hell-fighter Trench Gun.
good video kris. :)
PlizNerfKolibri its the m1903 experimental and its semi automatic
PlizNerfKolibri cei rigotti can be fully automatic
I personally like the backboard. I hipfire with this thing since it's automatic
great info! keep it up
And how does the Hellfighter compare to the other variants?
PappaRS it's the backbored
01:39 The french used tear gas before the germans and the united states used flamethrowers as soon as they got to war.
Witch one of the variants is Hellfighter one?
Turbo Commando backbored
Which category does the Hellfighter shotgun fall under? Sweeper variant?
+Lou McGopher I believe the Hellfighter is the same as the backbored variant, featuring decreased recoil
KriticalKris thank you
kris, could you confirm that the hellfighter version deals more damage than the normal backbored variant? if you check the weapon stats in game (where you see the number of kills and service stars), it appears it deals 63 damange, more than the normal backbored and just 1 less than the hunter.
Sergio thats what i find to
Germans: wait that’s illegal
Americans: shame
Germans: shotguns are barbaric
Americans: I don't give a fuck what you think jerry
When I use this gun I aim directly at the enemy and still miss at point blank like it doesn't even register the hit at all?
Nope
Shutguns are bugged at the moment, all of them apart from the slug
I dont hit anything with M97 Trench Gun Hunter. It´s really depressing. Did they nerf it totally?!? No problems with other guns.
1cr4nk1 shutguns are bugged at the moment
luv your vids
I just shot in to a cluster of 3 enemies and not got a single hit marker center mass to is it net code ?
jesse keagle shotguns are bugged at the moment
Ø thanks when is the update
Did he say that you can slam-fire?
Deadly bro so cool
i dont know the point in the semi auto shotgun when the pump actions fire just as fast
rubberwoody The slamfire feature makes the Trench gun shoot TWICE as fast as the Model10A
Im pretty sure almost everyone is getting WW1 and 2 mixed the germans weren't nazis in WW1
What's the intro song?
I feel like it should be overpowered in this game
games in general tend to nerf shotguns because of their effectiveness
there's a reason the Germans complained about the US using these...
I know the model 10 is way better but I just i like feeling like an American doughboy
So which variant should I use
GidLikE {HC} I love the Sweeper but the Backbored is supposed to be good too
whats the best variant for long range of this gun? the backbored?
ian roberts this question is silly. You are not supposed to use shotguns at long range and when you do you are a bit stupid
excuse me ? what i meant was mate was a shotgun that hits a bit further than usual so obv the hunter hits further than the sweeper
now that does make sense
ian roberts than you should better say it like that XD and I would say the Hunter variant ^^
yes i aint had bf1 long anyway so im learning
I swear you already did this gun
You missed the fact that this is the only automatic shotgun in the game
good one
No,it's not.It's a Slamfire Shotgun.And there are 2 Semi automatic shotguns.The 12 g automatic and the Sjhogren inertial.
unoriginal name
It's a slamfire shotgun
Dano GD Yes, but in game It acts just like a full auto shotgun. not beneficial at all considering its heavy recoil and One shot kill capacity
Daniel Antony in practical terms it's a full auto gun, as you just have to hold down primary fire. Edit: in game
Maybe do the sjrogen (butchered) that it's a Swedish shotgun in the they shall not pass dlc
linkz he has and sorry but I have to its sjögren
It's actually M1897.
My favourite gun in the game... a shotgun.
:32 sec intro???
well, french and british were first to use the gas in the ww1
Vladimir Novakovic French used tear gas which is not poisonous. Germans used the first poisonous gas.
Tear gas is not lethal. That's a very big difference between tear gas and chlorine/mustard gas.
3:01 lol
That gun is so op
I always take either my Remington 870 Magnum or my browning deer hunter golden on the firld for close quarters as a sniper I can say theese is pretty realistic games execpt shoguns have much longer range hand this got a driect hit at 200 yards with a 12g Magnum round but I have to make an execption that the shotgun shells had less of a primer and and smaller pellets+much wider spread on the old shotguns

bet 10$ you won't get the reference >:)
My theory is that the Germans where jealous that America had produced a powerful shotgun that could go on a killing spree with the German Empire, so they thought enough wad enough and began threatening them
What The Fuck this is!!!!? is realistic reload trench gun!!!!?
ps4 BattleBotDD
A trench shotgun and no swing-out cylinder revolver to pair it with .Fuck you , DICE .
First Comment :)
rakan aljohani what do you mean by he gained with us
I hate this gun's Hunter variant. So much
I hate the trench gun hunter it sucks
