    I visited Ypres when I was in high school. It's eerie. Every flat piece of land around the town is a cemetery. It really put war movies in perspective.

    The Wipers Times - brilliant film. Funny, but oh so sad. So many brave young men who never made it home. It's on RUclips, so enjoy.

    I heard lots of nations military took Michelin guide handbook for reference in making their own military release map both in first and second world war

      in the Spanish Civil War, both sides used widely the Michelin guide maps. At least , at start of the war. There are a lot of references about this fact.

      In 1940, the Germans navigated their way through the Ardennes using Michelin Guides.

    I still wonder to this day if soldiers need to need to poop would he out the line and take release??
