    The problem with the big companies is they schedule the techs to spend about 15 minutes on the interior. There is not enough time to fix a problem. If the problem gets fixed it is more likely the customer will cancel service and the company loses money.

They have been hired by home owners with dedicated theater rooms to have their rat issues resolved. That should say a lot for their client portfolio..... Much respect for them, their services and dedication. Would consider hiring them for my home if I have any troubles in the near future. But till then? Plan to follow their videos for tips and skills.

    I was fighting with mice at my house for years. we used to leave our back door open for our dogs and it must have let the mice in too. I have an arsenal of mouse traps. most worked ok BUT what saved me was GLUE TRAPS. everywhere there was mouse poop I put a plastic tray sticky trap on the floor along the edges. mice destroyed 2 stoves. OH and the mice loved our dog's food bags so I bought a small 33-gallon galvanized steel trash can with a matching steel lid for the dog food..

    I can’t imagine how expensive this was on that lady. 5 days of back and forth, traps, cutting parts of the wall, multiple crew members, putting in the resin repair pipe, getting an electrician for the chewed wire. Hopefully it’s something insurance will take care of, especially with this documentation. Nonetheless a fantastic job. If other pest companies are only doing the same level of work that any homeowner can do themselves, than shame on them. Anyone can stick their head up a ladder and throw a few traps. Especially these companies that prey on the elderly. As long as there was a hole in the sewer pipe, all the traps in the world were merely band-aiding the result and not the cause

    Hi Twins, First I Love your videos. I am terrified of rats, but am learning on what to do if we ever have them and what to look for in a pest control company. I do have 2 questions. Do you still use the rat trap where you bait it and they crawl in and fall down into the enzyme and die? Second is, did you or the customer fix that wiring that shocked Thompson? That would be a fire hazard right? Ok so I guess I have 3. Again love what you do and how honesty you are with your customers. I hope these nice ladies were able to get some money back from the pest control company since they didn't solve the problem. Since watching your videos, I now keep an eye and ask questions of any workers we have come to our house, nicely of course.

    Most larger companies won't let you go anywhere in a attic unless there is subflooring or some type of stable flooring in place.
    So I would assume the reason why the guy didn't get suited up and just shined the flashlight around was b/c he or she was not supposed to go exploring around where he or she is not allowed to due to company policy.

    The one kind of trap I've not seen them use is the bucket/trash can and plank style trap. You know basically like the rat vac but it just works by gravity. Rats/mice walk on to the end of the cover to get the bait and fall in. Maybe that would take up too much space?

    • @JW77

      Plank traps only get mice. Rats are way too smart. Also rats can jump right out or normal 5 gal buckets.

    Watching your videos has led to me several conclusions. First and foremost… you guys are awesome.
    Moving along… I understand that a lot of these companies really don’t do a great job. I wonder how much of the time the job they attempt to complete is limited by what the customer is willing to spend. I’m also aware that a significant amount of the time these companies just lack the knowledge, experience and tools needed to complete one of these jobs.
    I think that the twins do a great job communicating with the customers. Also, since they are usually the 3rd or 5th different company on the job and the problem has increased to the point where the customer is going insane… price becomes irrelevant.
    That being said. They clearly deserve every dollar.

      They are let air flow out at the top because it is a vent, but the can ad a piece of hardware cloth underneath after they drilled a few holes. I’m sure if they sensed airflow through that crack in the sidewall of that area of the hole they would chew through it again. Otherwise they wouldn’t know it’s there, but they greased the inside of that pipe so that they couldn’t scale back up it

    So he got back in the hose or never got to the vacuum? What's a vau or what ever?
    Did he clog the line and cause the power to trip. Funny I just asked that question in another video. Good job ready with plan b.

    How were the rats dying in the shop vac? You said it crawled back into the hose so it was a lie to do that, but how did it die in the hose? Why didn’t you just walk back out? I’m really confused.

    Twin brother. 🤷 Should be carrying boxes and boxes of traps with your Twins trap covers.
    Your service trucks should have boxes apon boxes of traps with your COVER INVENTION.

    Most people want the cheapest job. You can have 2 of 3. Cheap, fast, good. If it's good and fast, it's not gonna be cheap. If it's cheap and fast, it's not gonna be good. And the rare good and cheap, it's not gonna be fast. In fact it will take forever.

    The rat was probably tripped the vac and got sucked into the line then the breaker tripped.

    Street elbows are illegal (not code) for gas lines, at least for our area of Northern California. Otherwise good job.

    • @earlestes8649
      @earlestes8649 5 месяцев назад

      Why ? Do you know? Never heard anything about that before with our local gas utility. Definitely no galvanized piping, and has to be double wall vent pipe from ceiling or wall on outside for vent pipe.

    • @rodgraff1782
      @rodgraff1782 5 месяцев назад

      @@earlestes8649 read your local codes on fuel gas piping to see if it applies in your area. Also check the National codes. Using street elbows instead of a nipple and regular elbows is more restrictive.
