This is obviously a hoarding situation. It's not a matter of 'cleaning'. People who hoard have deep trauma and mental health issues that have to be addressed before things can be 'cleaned'. If her husband was a hoarder, I can't imagine an elderly person dealing with all of that on their own. Kudos to these people for their professionalism.

Those pups are having so much fun they reminded me of the time my daughters Jack Russel "Ran Away. She darted off across the field when we were outside & she just vanished. Wouldn't come back when we called.
Next day I can hear her but still can't see her. When I did find her she was down a rabbit hole & wouldn't come out. Not couldn't, wouldn't. I had to go back home & get a shovel to dig her out & the bigger I made it the further she went down new sections. Took me 3 hours & a Slim Jim to her out. 🤣
Terriers just LOVE to hunt. They're the same as any other working breed really, get them doing what their breed is for & they're happier than if you got every toy at the store

😢 it’s really depresses me to see people living in such environments.My mother is a hoarder but it’s no way that bad. I wouldn’t even take a job like that on unless the home owner is prepared to get rid of everything. That lady sitting on the floor that’s full of droppings and urine seems a bit slow.

My mom is the same. Crazy I bought her a 2 story house a lot of rooms and she said no. She stayed in her 1 bedroom apartment that is roach infested. I have offered numerous times to kill them with the stuff that Orkin and terminix companies use she said no. It depresses me to visit my mom because she is a hoarder.
I'm so glad you called Joseph, he's an awesome fella who needs a little more attention to his work. And he does things the natural way rather than pesticides and traps. His training is pretty much second to none too so his mink knows not to go for the dogs, and vice versa.

I go in a lot of homes with my job. I see plenty of homes just like this. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is the owner never takes responsibility to the hoarding mess. It’s always someone or something else ie rats that made the mess! 😂

I think we might get a glimpse of some of the issues there when the mother explains "We're putting clothes in blue bags" and at the same time you see her empty-eyed daughter taking an empty plastic bottle and shoveling it in a blue bag.
Give me a jug of gasoline and one match, and I will take care of that hoarder mess.

@@andrewclayterman6230 Hoarders have been known to collect there own urine in bottles and poop in bags or container's (yuck I know), thousands of news paper, empty food/drink cans......messy/dirty people and hoarders are two different things because hoarders see value in the items they "collect" or are emotionally attached to something that no healthy person would be...like there own urine in a bottle or hundreds of newspapers from 30 years ago.
I have known many people with mental health issues (Depression, Bi polar, (C)PTSD etc) that end up in filth so easily literally piled to the ceiling and it happens so quickly if no one is keeping an eye on them, some people need consistent help basically.... because there issues are so severe if you leave them to it, you/they end up back where you started obviously that's the most severe cases ongoing help/visits is a must. Majority of them I find get into a rut, things get bad and then they feel like it can't be fixed and don't know where or how to start fixing it, massive amount's of shame about the state of there home, don't ask for anyone's help for fear of being judged, isolation in general which is sad.... its a viscous circle as there depression (or other illnesses) will just get worse, there is a very true saying "a clean home is a happy home" a dirty home is a sign, it is not good for anyone mental health or self esteem wise......unless you have been brought up as it being normal or are just a dirty git and don't care lol.
The joy/achievement you feel after you clean one of these kind of places to the point its livable again, there's no feeling like it...giving someone there home back. They are so thankful that I didn't judge them as a person or look at them like filth, 9/10 they are in tears and disbelief that it could be made into a home again as they honestly think a bulldozer or burn it to the ground is the way to go lol

Hoarding: Level Five (LEVEL 5), always a rat favorite situation to make into their home. You trap and/or poison the rats, and recommend that the owner cleans it up. (stay on vacation, let your bro handle the junk yard rats!!!) This is in fact not a house any more but has become in reality a giant rats' nest which you can walk inside of as you deal with the rats in it. You become 'rat miners' mining the piles of junk for rats.

Have been dealing with a mouse problem at one of my apartment buildings because a tenant that just moved out was extremely messy. They cleaned the apartment when they moved so the mice started going to other apartments looking for food and the calls started coming in. Orkin had stopped using the mouse baits that worked and have been using something different that doesn't work. I went to home depot and bought a bunch of the Tom cat bait station refill blocks and put those everywhere. The next day we started finding dead and dying mice in the halls of the building. Now we haven't gotten a single complaint about a mouse in a week.
Well at least you guys did the right thing by actually addressing the problem by cleaning, that caused the symptom (mouses).
