@@Gwinchy101 In the movie it was because Andy was not signed under Sumerian records yet. For the show it would have been too odd for his singing voice to suddenly change so they just kept rem's voice to keep it consistant. That and it keep the character Jonny and Andy seperate.

The director didn't want to use Andy's voice because he didn't want you to see Andy Biersack, he wanted you to see Johnny Faust. Same with Ben Bruce not taking lead guitar and vocal shots as much

I can't get over Bella's acting in this moment. She didn't play Lily in the movie, but she really sells the emotional aspect of Lily feeling out of control with her feelings for Johnny, her feelings of leaving the band she helped build. Not to mention the bizarre connection they all have with the temptation struggle. It's all over the place and this performance was sick!!!
Not a fan of Bella Thorne much anymore but she kicked ass in this show....great cast!

I have this book called "Daisy Jones & The Six based on a fictional band back in the 60's & 70"s. Characters Singer Billy & Keyboardist Daisy have the same temptation struggle & bizarre relationship as Johnny & Lily have. It's exact same thing. Good read, interview style

What ya'll need to do is get this whole band from the movie and show, INCLUDING Remington, and Lzzy Hale from Halestorm for Lily and whoever was doing her bass and all the other bands from the show and get them all to do a REAL Hit Parader Festival or the Festival from the movie. Andy´s expression and movements totally fit the voice! Yes it is kinda strange, hearing another voice, but he also doesnt move like he would with his actual voice, it just fits!

Andy Biersack and Bella Thorne definitely did a great job playing characters with a character as strong as Johnny and Lily that way to make us vibrate with a relationship as intense and complicated as that of their characters

Crazy to see Ben Bruce, James Cassells, and Andy all playing in this show together. So sweet to see my teenage bands as an adult working together on projects!
I like Johnny and Lily in Paradise City. The way he looks at her. He doesn’t look at Gretchen that way. I think he loves Gretchen, but he seems to be really fighting his feelings for Lily. I hope and can’t wait for season 2.

I do not like him with Lily, it seems way too toxic. She's also not a good person, she pressured him into drugs and then had sex with him and answered that phone - she sucks. I think it's very lustful with Lily and he loves Gretchen.

The tension, the clear but chaotic feelings that Johnny and Lily have for each other, the tension, I know she's out the band but I don't think it's over between them, something else is going to happen with them in season 2, the attraction between them is too intense to just fizzle out, they're like magnets to each other in the most terrible way but it undeniable.

This song hit deep for me when I first heard it, the lyrics are very relatable to me and Remington's voice is such a great fit for this as well as other Relentless songs. So far I really like how Paradise City did their first season. It's a shame Cameron Boyce is no longer with us, I was really looking forward to seeing his character unfold. Season two would be difficult to make without him, very difficult. But I hope they find a way. There are so many stories in rock n roll that despite the circumstances, I still believe there's one for Simon.
I'm a little jealous of the film crew. They could hear Andy's real voice in these songs, I think it was cool. However, I also like Rem's voice and it really suits the character in this universe. His image is absolutely complete!

@@sierraknudsen1966 No. The studio recording is played through speakers on set which is called a "playback", and everyone lipsynch and mimes their parts to it. Drums typically are taped on the underside or double stacked to look real but project minimal sound. Thats how any music video you see is filmed unless its from a live show with actual live audio.

@@scarletXlune Isn't Black veil brides on Sumarian though? Sumarian produced American Satan and Paradise City so they wouldn't have copyright issues since the band is signed to the same label that is producing the movie. Its more likely that the musical director had a certain idea of what type of voice he wanted the singer to have and since Andy has more of a low baritone he wouldn't it that criteria.

Lovin' Andy acting! The whole reason that they use Remingtons voice is so the acting takes precedence! BRILLIANT!!! I was caught by a surprise to see they did a series. I'm still confused as to why they didn't use the original Lily?
Because the real lily is a transgender man in real life ! He started transitioning after the movie came out. So that's why they can't use the "real" lily because it's not a girl anymore ☺️ I hope you understood

Andy should release a cover of his own performance for all these songs. I’d still like to understand why he couldn’t sing them, some article I read mentioned something about licensing issues but both Remington and Andy have the same label, as far as I understand that stuff.
When American Satan (the movie where this series is based off of) was in the works, Andy was still under a different label and that's why Remington voiced Johnny Faust. But I guess they did not wanted to make it weird for Johnny's singing voice to change although they could have done so for Paradise City.

Two things, the creator wanted to separate the acting from the singing which is why Andy isn’t singing plus Andy doesn’t have as much range as Remy but his deep voice is pretty badass.
