If there are between 1-3 snakes each round, or 1-2, or even 0-2, then the game becomes much more interesting imo.
Yeah I was thinking about this during work after the rules were explained cause I was just like “it’s essentially 1v2 with another person just there trying to figure out who they’re supposed to help.” I think ditching the mongoose entirely makes the game much more entertaining

This was mandated by a company that makes chocolate milk, to use it in an ad. This percentage however got overseas, and we were fed this crazy stat without any context. Basically, it's a bluffing game and all bluffing is complicated, you can't make statements like yours without there being numerous problems with them.
I think what's even more confusing is that the human didn't IMMEDIATELY know who the snakes were. It seems like a difficult game to actually screw up with only 4 players. For example, with four people, two are snakes one is human and one is mongoose. If you are human, you know that you are human, therefore there can be no others. The mongoose's identity is revealed to everyone, so you know who the mongoose is. Therefore the last two must be snakes and are not to be trusted.

The funny thing about this game is that somehow it related to my school life. Sometimes during some trivia games in my IT classes, one of my friends would try to mislead me into choosing the incorrect answers. It obviously did not work as I still somehow managed to get them correct.

Honestly how does this make sense with four players, the human is always gonna know who the snakes are, because they know they aren't one, and they know the mongoose isn't one, unless theres a variable amount of snakes they would always know that the remaining two players are the snakes.

The word is carcinization. On multiple occasions, nature has evolved q creature into a crab-like creature, independent of other factors. Crabs truly are the most optimal lifeform.

The mongoose announces themselves at the start of the round so you know they aren’t trying to lie to you.
And if you get the normal human character card, you know the other two people are the snakes. So it’s like, what’s the point?

The Agender Mongoose was my favourite part of this video
I don't see the point here. Like most of the time content could POSSIBLY be unscripted but in this, they know their own identity, they know there are 2 snakes, 1 human, and 1 mongoose, so they just know who is a snake. I mean, I'm a human, I can see the mongoose, so there are only 2 people and roles left...
I think its more about convincing the mongoose you're not a snake but I totally get that point
I tell ya, as someone who recently discovered they're Agender, I really appreciate that Tom still used "they/them" for the Mongoose even after that little skit.
