What I want is great boss fights, I love Spider-Man PS4 but I always felt it was kind of lacking in terms of great sequence for boss fights. Hulk should be an obvious pick as a boss fight somewhere where he can take you down in just a few hits so you need to constantly be evading and wary because every now and then he'll just thunder clap to blow you away from him. You could be trying to close in on Omega Red while he's throwing his whips everywhere in a fight and using them to try and mix you up. Have Sabretooth be a reoccurring threat that tests you, basically having him as your Vergil/Jetstream Sam. If nothing else I want a part of the game that's basically just the movie "The Raid" but you're going through Silver Samurai's clan to get to him as a boss fight.
i would love to have a hulk fight be like bane's , from Arkham origins. you're hiding from big green while he looks for you, but the difference between the fights is that if hulk finds you, you can counter the attack somehow, but you still lose health
I hope they set up something with X-23 becoming the new Wolverine like how Spider-Man set up Miles to be a new Spider-Man. Also I want there to be some occasional cameos from members of the X-Men, but nothing too much to handle. Maybe a scene where someone like Omega Red is tearing up wherever Wolverine is, and Cyclops calls Logan to ask if he needs help from the X-Men, and Logan says he can handle it himself.
Maybe at a point in the game logan is feeling lonely and looks at a picture of Jean in his wallet. Or something smaller. Have logan see a random wheelchair and he says to Laura “reminds me of an old friends”. Something small enough to say that xmen do exist
Imma be honest with you as someone who loves Laura, I think I’d be better off as a solo title that only focuses on Logan with like one or 2 cameos from like cyclops and/or gambit (that second pick is 100 percent bias) I only say this because Spider-Man has had a lot and I mean A LOT of games within just the last 2 decades so adding miles was a nice change of pace, compare that to wolverine who’s only had 1 game, I’m not opposed to Laura being introduced I’d just prefer that they save her for another installment or at least mention an X-23 project and leave it at that for now

If Insomniac does go with an open world style for Wolverine then I hope it's something closer to say Red Dead Redemption 2 then something akin to Breath of the Wild or Marvel's Spider-man. I'd also like to see the setting be something similar to parts of the Logan film where the area you're in is like the wild parts of Mexico, Texas, Nevada, or Arizona, where It's very open country with buildings that are like 1-2 stories tall and the places and people have a very 'Western/Cowboy/Biker' style.
The bar is said to be set in the city of Madripoor which is a fictional city somewhere around Singapore I believe. So Southeast Asia is definitely a vibe to be wolverine. I DO believe it will be a MULTI-Location map.
I would agree with Wolverine not being an open-world game, but just IMAGINE how badass it would be to control Logan's motorcycle in-game, and being able to free-roam anywhere with it 🔥
A Yakuza style Daredevil game would be dope. Keep it within Hell's Kitchen, but make that portion of Manhattan bursting with life like Yakuza did with Kamurocho. As Spider-Man, we easily swings through Hell's Kitchen not really minding what's below, but Daredevil is a grounded hero. The streets are his home and battlefield.
I remember reading a buzzfeed-esque article pitching this idea, and I was never 100% sold. I don't see the overlap of Yakuza and Daredevil. That being said, I'm far more familiar with the Yakuza games than the DD comics, so I'd need someone to show me what they see to convince me of it
While I want Laura I think it would be better for this first Wolverine game to start from basics and reestablish who Logan was at the start of his journey. Logan's development from toxic masculine anti-hero to somber father figure is one of the greatest arcs for any superhero and I don't want to see it rushed for the sake of marketing. Laura is an incredible character and she deserves all of the hype that a fully realized Logan can give her.
I get that, but I think we’re forgetting just how long games are as a medium. There’s most definitely enough time to tell that entire journey and I don’t want to wait around 5 years for a sequel to get to the side of the character that I’m interested in imo
Coming back to say that one little detail I'd love to see is for Logan to take damage like characters in Mortal Kombat 9. Have his ribcage exposed and an eyeball popping out when he's really low on health. It would look so badass if he can regenerate from that.
I have absolute faith in insomniac games that this will turn out to be an absolute banger! What I would personally want is to have voice packs (kind of like what saints row three did with the Nolan North pack) and get Hugh Jackman. I’m telling you sales go through the roof
I guess I just don’t know how Wolverine wouldn’t immediately kill mfs with his attacks. I think the thing should be that some enemies have adamantium bullets and electricity and stuff to make it believably harmful when Logan gets hit, but if he lands even one hit I want him to just decimate mfs. What’s important to me is using regeneration intelligently. Like, visible damage healing over time, having your clothes get all f***ed up and having to buy new ones as you deem fit, etc. In an ideal world, with the M rating, Wolverine hangs dong.
I really hope this is good. Wolverine is such an amazing character and Hugh Jackman's brilliant performance set the bar really high. Honestly, I feel like it just HAS to be good (I feel the same way for the mcu Wolverine). Also a daredevil game would be sick
Being a game there can be some distance between Jackman’s performance at least so comparisons won’t be as common, but yeah the MCU is gonna have a hard time. I kinda feel like they should either do something totally different with Logan or shelf Logan for a while and have Laura as main Wolverine for a couple years to get some more distance
If Insomniac wants to make a shared Marvel Games Universe (Or Gamerverse as i would prefer to call it), they should start with the street level characters like The Punisher, Ghost Rider, Blade, Deadpool, Elektra, Daredevil, Moon Knight and Heroes For Hire (Luke Cage and Iron Fist). Basically the Marvel Knights lineup and save characters like The Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four for last.
Super excited for this game, hoping to see some references to some of the X-men and maybe some avengers that Logan is really awaited with like Captain America
I think it might be fun to have a mission where Logan saves a fellow Mutant like in X-Men Origins, just something to help the player show his heart and to switch it up and take a quick break from all the slashing. I'd also kinda like to see some Japanese elements, since Logan has a pretty big connection to Japanese culture and people
From what I have heard from various channels talking about the game is that the player will go through Logan's life and explore his ptsd with various points in history being shown. (Don't quote me might be wrong)
You definitely get that from the trailer I think, in a bar full of dead or beaten guys, drinking, getting angry, he's either re-living a story or he's just been reminded
I wanna take a page from spider-man and its focus meter, and maybe make it into a metre for "berserker rage". To tackle a few problems at once, let's make it do three main things. One, like how spider-mans focus meter at max gives him the option to inflict special finishers, wolverine could have that too when at full bar. Also, the berserker rage like spiderman can be used to heal wolverine, but gradually so we get a sense that it's an organic healing factor. Finally, (though I'm not so sure about this since this could be put in as a perk or something like that) when at full bar, wolverine gets a damage and speed buff, and the more hits he does on enemies, the more he heals. I feel like that would be really diverse since Peters focus meter could only do like two things, while miles had a bunch of variety, and I want wolverine to have that same variety as well.
Definitely want all his kids in it: Gabby, Laura, Daken, James, his adopted daughter that's like the silver samurai. #HouseofLogan The Logan movie had some really creative scenes with him and Laura fighting together, getting that right in a game would be awesomeee 🔥🔥
a wolverine game needs to have these following thing:- a healing factor- we need to be able to see wolverine get torn up during combat and then slowly heal back, pegi-18 rating(people who say it can be pg13 need to go f themselves), brutal combat with a variety of enemies and awesome boss fights with characters like Omega Red, Hulk etc.
I think Laura in this game is too soon. Giving Logan a protégé in Insomniac’s first Wolverine title would feel like a feel repeat, since _Spider-Man: Miles Morales_ already did that very thing. Aside from that, I agree with the rest of your points.
I want references to other x-men characters, maybe they even pop up and theres another x-men member each level exploring Wolverines relationship with the X-men and why he left
I want a stealth section where you play as Kitty Pryde, and since she cant breathe inside objects, one of the mechanics is oxygen, and you have to hide inside objects and walls until opponents pass by. If it's too easy since she can walk through walls, you could make the one you're hiding from a teleporter like Azazel or nightcrawler
I feel like the combat should feel similar to Ghost of Tsushima or the last of us two. If they introduce the berserk mode, they could do it similarly to the ghost stance (basically you get to kill like five enemies brutally with one hit)

I feel like with Laura Kinney they could do what Spiderman PS4 did with miles, he wasn't in it too much but it left me wanting more from him whilst keeping Peters stuff the core, and then they could do a "Spiderman Miles Morales" shorter game called "Wolverine X23" or something to tie in between a sequel
I hope his heightened sense of smell comes into play in the game and it's done well. Not like how detective mode in the Arkham games is literally the center point for a lot of missions.

Open worlds could work really well with Wolverine. Especially if they have a story where Logan is constantly on the run from the government. If you stay in one place for two long then maybe Sabretooth would attack you and then you have a genuinely challenging fight on your hands that you CAN WIN but he will quickly regenerate and the people in the area will try attacking or hiding from you and you can’t interact with them anymore unless you fight away from little towns
This might be kind of a stretch, but i hope the game takes place in more than one area around the world, swinging around only in NY is fun and all, but id like to see Logan go around all sorts of different places with varying environments as the story unfolds
They could have Sabretooth constantly be hunting you throughout the game like Mr X in Resident evil 2. It’d be cool to go into a bar and wait for Sabretooth to show up like in the trailer.
I think the best way to do health for a Wolverine game is lean into a bit of the "beserker" thing, where killing enemies restores his health. Itd be a good way to keep the combat going without stopping to regenerate or look for health packs, and it also gives them a good reason to just throw a shit ton of enemies at you
If they had an open world, which is something that makes sense for Wolverine because he is a wanderer, he should be able to drive on a motorcycle and I think that they should make references to X-Men because that'd be nice.
After Spider-Man and wolverine I hope insomniac makes more marvel games I'd love to play a Daredevil game from them also a blade game, venom game, x 23 spinoff wolverine game and a ghost Rider game

Very specifically I want a Silver Samurai boss, and I want him to be INSANE, I want him to be a Jetstream Sam tier fight (maybe not Vergil tier, but definitely up there)
So they should basically take a lot of stuff from the Wolverine: Origins game, the combat was in depth and complex (for me at least), the game had a more linear yet open feel and story line and made use of some of Wolverines other abilities like healing factor, scent, etc and even took one of them away to further challenge the player. The puzzles were fun to figure out and it was just overall an amazing game and still one of the best superhero games in general
1. i think the only way open world could work is if he has his motorcycle 2. you should be able to fight with just your fists, i think a great opening could be the bar fight that was in the teaser 3. laura should be in the game, and i think it would be cool if she took up the wolverine mantle just recently, and i think logan should be a separate character now. 4. omega red, sabretooth, hulk, and maybe daken should all be in the game as boss fights, with sabretooth reappearing throughout the game 5. colossus or nightcrawler should have a cameo. EDIT: i would love if this game was about logan giving up the mantle to laura and have her in the missions kinda like the last of us where shes with you the whole game and its about logan stepping down from wolverine and passing the torch to laura. DO NOT kill logan off though, at least not yet, i wanna see him interact with the other heroes that appear later down the line.

i hope this game has mini phases to the story like flashbacks and travel to significant points in logan’s history, maybe a map in japan and another in the early 1900’s or something. I think bouncing between time periods could really set the game apart. Having each period fight differently could also be fun; early japan using a katana and dueling samurai, the 20th-19th century ones adding guns the the claw-melee, maybe a savage jungle period where you only have the claws but are heightened in health/speed.
I feel like it would be hard to pull off but i would really like a slo mo blade mode kinda like MGR had in this game i feel like that would be really cool
I want Logan to be fast like zig-zagging around enemies and huge monsters. I want to go through the sewers and storm the Hellfire Club. I want Logan to have gone on absurd space adventures. I want to get yeeted across the map by Magneto. I want to Sauron to turning people into dinosaurs and scream his famous line. I want to fight the Hulk, Deadpool(voiced by Nolan North) and Sebastian Shaw.
Love the idea of a connected marvel gaming universe and for that reason. It’s a long shot since yes, this definitely should be a wolverine story but I’d love to see a tease of a potential X-Men game. Like maybe at some point in the game, Logan is near a high school/college and he runs into Scott Summers and probably tells him to go fuck himself which would kinda start that friendly rivalry they have. I would like to see Insomniac make a new Hulk game that's like Ultimate Destruction because I have always considered Spider-Man, Hulk and Wolverine to be Marvel's big 3 in the days before the MCU and after what they have done to Hulk in the MCU I would really like like too see the Hulk return to his roots.
If they do an open world I hope it’s closer to GoW where you just have one main hub world to explore with branching linear levels. That would be cool to me.
Would love flashback missions in this game to break up whatever the main narratives gonna be, it would be so cool to be able to play through events in logans life like his experiences in the wars, world war 2 with cap and maybe namor, a weapon x mission and a hulk fight.
There's room for some really cool DLC with a Wolverine game. I agree the combat is going to be super important. Anyways can't wait for a Deadpool 3 video if that ever interests you.
If Marvel makes a Miles Morales-esque spin-off of the Wolverine game, I think Sabertooth is a better option, I know he's a villain, but it would be cool to see him goon assassination missions for Weapon X, not making him a good guy. There also should be more adult words, and more violents, I'm talking gut all over the floor violence. Plus, Sabertooth is in my top 5 Marvel villains.
Idk why but some elements from Days Gone gave me Wolverine energy. Probably just the motorcycle and tracking parts but still. A wilderness setting with lots of places to explore on foot and the bike mostly as a fun traversal between areas could be cool.
I came up with a weird concept for "dying" in a Wolverine game that I think fits better with the well-known fact that he, y'know, can't die. His health bar should be enormous, reflecting his famous propensity for tanking damage, but there should be greater consequences for losing fights. Instead of dying and respawning when his health bar reaches zero, he blacks out and reawakens in the fight arena after all the enemies are gone, having relocated somewhere else in the level. It's more of a setback than the usual death and would add some challenge and immersion. Not to mention, hunting down and butchering the guys who thought they had you killed would be extremely cathartic. And another neat part is it could shift as the game goes on and you face different villains. Maybe some of them don't leave the room and you can just explode back to life, surprising them all. Or maybe some know about your healing factor and take your body with them, relocating you to an unfamiliar part of the level and forcing you to break out of whatever contingency they have for your inevitable awakening and find your way back to the path. I know this is a crazy late comment, but hey, might as well leave it anyway.
So for me I’d like 1 for exploring I’d like it to be either like GOTG or a free rom (Batman Arkham Asylum sized map or maps if we can get multiple areas). 2 It’s has to be rated M 3 Laura should be in this and get her own story (by DLC or spin off game) 4 battle damaged I’d love to see his wounds heal after a good fight 5 stealth combat 6 some small mentioning of the X-men (and maybe a cameo of a member at the end if they decide to make an X-men game)
Laura Kinney is a great character but in order to include her I think she needs to start off in the story as X-23 and her arc is learning to grow past and reject whatever organisation is in charge of her in this universe. Think a similar story to the Tinkerer from Spider-Man: Miles Morales, despite being the final boss and Spider-Man's most personal enemy in the game she isn't the main antagonist, that goes to Simon Krieger. In this story Laura could be sent by the real villain and is the one Wolverine fights multiple times throughout the story as he discovers more of her origin and tries to save her. Also if the game is rated M have Laura be a child prostitute like was part of her origin in her first solo book
I mean they could also have side characters or references or mention Logan’s other kids like Draken and Gabrielle Kinney which would be interesting if they did like did a level were you work with them or save one
Yeah, I think Laura would be interesting, but I think for this game she should stay X-23, it’d be interesting to watch Logan try and help his daughter out throughout the game, if she immediately gets the mantle of Wolverine it’ll feel like a copout, this is Logan’s Story after all.

I personally would have the game take place before the Spider-man games, either before Spider-man was a hero or in his early days [maybe being indicated through an Amazing Fantasy #15 newspaper] at a point in the insomniac timeline where there were only about 3 or 4 heroes (Capsicle included).
Possible villains: Sabretooth Wendigo(most likely not) Daken Silver samurai lady deathstrike (with hulk as a mini villain for a bit) Cameos: Hulk Cyclops professor X Magneto
Maybe the weaponx program uses Laura to go on assassin missions and Logan is being framed for them also they can lore him into a trap and see if she can kill him and if she fails they have sabertooth, deadpool, omega red and others to help kill him?🤷♂️
2:21 I agree but it would be kool to see a bunch of other references like there were with Spider Man. Maybe a few flashback scenes. Wolverine actually trained Peter according to most comic lore so it would be dope to see that connection. 3:22 yes man. Combat is king. It definitely needs to be in depth. Parrying system along with the regeneration ability too. 5:24 again yes man the builds are going to be dope too. His suits and suit mods are going to be awesome. 6:11 lastly, yes I do think Insomniac needs some female enegry anyways so she would be a perfect introduction.
Regnerating model is a given, but I would like to see the clothes not regen for the sake of a neat detail. I haven't seen the gameplay yet so I'm not sure how spaced out the levels are when Wolverine has to fight an enemy. A long stretched out area would work best with a high poke or high speed wolverine whom can traversal through a fight (lunges and the sort). Although a part of me feels like it the levels will be a bit closed in whenever a fight occurs. EDIT// I would totally love a parry mechanic with Wolverine where he can reflect bullets/lasers with his claws while pushing away a melee attack.
I think wolverine and his daughter are both wolverine but logan wolverine is the og and has more interesting stories (IMO) so when i think of wolverine logan is my first thought and his daughter laura is like a third thought and plus logan is my fav Keep up the good work!! I mean we're always going to call her x-23, just like how will always call him Miles Morales. They didn't bother to give them a unique name so that's the only way we can differentiate who were talking about. I'm fine with Laura being Wolverine just like I'm fine with mild being Spider-Man, but when the other one is alive and also being that hero I feel like they should have just given these characters their own cool superhero name. I vote for Miles has to be called red back. It's a type of spider and he's the one with the red spider symbol so I think it fits well. It's better than what the Spidey friends call him, spin.
Hey on the point of X-23 being Wolverine... I understand that there's some idiots saying some shit like "woman can't be Wolverine" but some of us keep calling her like this or by her name mostly because referring to her as Wolverine doesn't feel right. Like she's been in comics so long but doesn''t deserve to be her own character with her own title. And there's so many characters like this in marvel and it just devalues their importance imo
In terms of structure i would love to see the game more linear like Rachet and Clank or Star Wars Jedi Fallen order with side missions and detective type missions giving you clues to a secret villian. As for villains Lady Deathstrike,Sabertooth,Cyber,Omega Red,Hulk and Silver Samurai are my picks. As for suits i would love them to put the same effort for Wolverine as they did Spider-man. I would love to see a classic yellow and blue skin,Brown and tan skin,Weapon X skin,X-men movies leather suit team skin,Team X skin and a more customizable outfit option where for example if i wanna remove the cowl for Wolverine i can do that while his more casual fits are mix and matching like his jeans,denim jackets,leather jackets,shirtless,wife beaters and cowboy hats. As for combat i want it brutal and also hand to hand combat without claws since he is a expert master martial artist rivaling even Batman and his past games and even movies never really brought that.
I think combat/enemy design and level design are gonna be really important. I need an ADVENTURE. I wanna be going from New York to Japan to Canada or some shit, and cool set pieces and maybe some platforming (standard character action game stuff), and I agree a health system would be good. And I definitely want something akin to devil may cry or bayonetta combat and enemy design wise, because it would be awesome. Easy to pick up for casuals on easy or normal and lots of depth with combos and cool enemies for higher skill play. Really hoping this one is good, I have faith in insomniac but also a little worried that it’ll just be ANOTHER triple A action game with easy button mashy combat, (which isn’t bad per say, but I really want some super hero games with more in depth dmc/bayonetta type combat), because this would be new ground for insomniac and I can easily seeing them just going the crowd pleasing route and just having easy combat, enemies, and bosses again with pretty visuals to distract people from how easy it is
Alright, hear me out, the game NEEDS to have the cutting system like the one in metal gear rising. IMO half of the fun in wolverine is his claws and a cutting mechanic would possibly make for cool puzzles and enemy ideas. Imagine a enemy that has a shield, your normal attacks dont do shit but you can cut it wide open with the mechanic... I just really want more games where i can cut things

Maybe a scene where someone like Omega Red is tearing up wherever Wolverine is, and Cyclops calls Logan to ask if he needs help from the X-Men, and Logan says he can handle it himself.
Maybe at a point in the game logan is feeling lonely and looks at a picture of Jean in his wallet. Or something smaller. Have logan see a random wheelchair and he says to Laura “reminds me of an old friends”. Something small enough to say that xmen do exist

Imma be honest with you as someone who loves Laura, I think I’d be better off as a solo title that only focuses on Logan with like one or 2 cameos from like cyclops and/or gambit (that second pick is 100 percent bias) I only say this because Spider-Man has had a lot and I mean A LOT of games within just the last 2 decades so adding miles was a nice change of pace, compare that to wolverine who’s only had 1 game, I’m not opposed to Laura being introduced I’d just prefer that they save her for another installment or at least mention an X-23 project and leave it at that for now

If Insomniac does go with an open world style for Wolverine then I hope it's something closer to say Red Dead Redemption 2 then something akin to Breath of the Wild or Marvel's Spider-man.
I'd also like to see the setting be something similar to parts of the Logan film where the area you're in is like the wild parts of Mexico, Texas, Nevada, or Arizona, where It's very open country with buildings that are like 1-2 stories tall and the places and people have a very 'Western/Cowboy/Biker' style.

A Yakuza style Daredevil game would be dope. Keep it within Hell's Kitchen, but make that portion of Manhattan bursting with life like Yakuza did with Kamurocho. As Spider-Man, we easily swings through Hell's Kitchen not really minding what's below, but Daredevil is a grounded hero. The streets are his home and battlefield.
I remember reading a buzzfeed-esque article pitching this idea, and I was never 100% sold. I don't see the overlap of Yakuza and Daredevil. That being said, I'm far more familiar with the Yakuza games than the DD comics, so I'd need someone to show me what they see to convince me of it
While I want Laura I think it would be better for this first Wolverine game to start from basics and reestablish who Logan was at the start of his journey. Logan's development from toxic masculine anti-hero to somber father figure is one of the greatest arcs for any superhero and I don't want to see it rushed for the sake of marketing. Laura is an incredible character and she deserves all of the hype that a fully realized Logan can give her.
I get that, but I think we’re forgetting just how long games are as a medium. There’s most definitely enough time to tell that entire journey and I don’t want to wait around 5 years for a sequel to get to the side of the character that I’m interested in imo
Coming back to say that one little detail I'd love to see is for Logan to take damage like characters in Mortal Kombat 9. Have his ribcage exposed and an eyeball popping out when he's really low on health. It would look so badass if he can regenerate from that.
The Deadpool game did that. They could incorporate needing to take people’s clothes that you help or buying new clothes

I think the thing should be that some enemies have adamantium bullets and electricity and stuff to make it believably harmful when Logan gets hit, but if he lands even one hit I want him to just decimate mfs. What’s important to me is using regeneration intelligently. Like, visible damage healing over time, having your clothes get all f***ed up and having to buy new ones as you deem fit, etc. In an ideal world, with the M rating, Wolverine hangs dong.

Being a game there can be some distance between Jackman’s performance at least so comparisons won’t be as common, but yeah the MCU is gonna have a hard time. I kinda feel like they should either do something totally different with Logan or shelf Logan for a while and have Laura as main Wolverine for a couple years to get some more distance

If Insomniac wants to make a shared Marvel Games Universe (Or Gamerverse as i would prefer to call it), they should start with the street level characters like The Punisher, Ghost Rider, Blade, Deadpool, Elektra, Daredevil, Moon Knight and Heroes For Hire (Luke Cage and Iron Fist). Basically the Marvel Knights lineup and save characters like The Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four for last.
Blade needs to be dark souls esque with its bosses

I wanna take a page from spider-man and its focus meter, and maybe make it into a metre for "berserker rage". To tackle a few problems at once, let's make it do three main things. One, like how spider-mans focus meter at max gives him the option to inflict special finishers, wolverine could have that too when at full bar. Also, the berserker rage like spiderman can be used to heal wolverine, but gradually so we get a sense that it's an organic healing factor. Finally, (though I'm not so sure about this since this could be put in as a perk or something like that) when at full bar, wolverine gets a damage and speed buff, and the more hits he does on enemies, the more he heals. I feel like that would be really diverse since Peters focus meter could only do like two things, while miles had a bunch of variety, and I want wolverine to have that same variety as well.
I think it would be cool to see a few team-ups in this game with other X-Men like Ms. Marvel, Daredevil, and Sam Wilson's Captain America.

a wolverine game needs to have these following thing:- a healing factor- we need to be able to see wolverine get torn up during combat and then slowly heal back, pegi-18 rating(people who say it can be pg13 need to go f themselves), brutal combat with a variety of enemies and awesome boss fights with characters like Omega Red, Hulk etc.
I think Laura in this game is too soon. Giving Logan a protégé in Insomniac’s first Wolverine title would feel like a feel repeat, since _Spider-Man: Miles Morales_ already did that very thing. Aside from that, I agree with the rest of your points.

I want a stealth section where you play as Kitty Pryde, and since she cant breathe inside objects, one of the mechanics is oxygen, and you have to hide inside objects and walls until opponents pass by. If it's too easy since she can walk through walls, you could make the one you're hiding from a teleporter like Azazel or nightcrawler
I feel like the combat should feel similar to Ghost of Tsushima or the last of us two. If they introduce the berserk mode, they could do it similarly to the ghost stance (basically you get to kill like five enemies brutally with one hit)

Open worlds could work really well with Wolverine. Especially if they have a story where Logan is constantly on the run from the government. If you stay in one place for two long then maybe Sabretooth would attack you and then you have a genuinely challenging fight on your hands that you CAN WIN but he will quickly regenerate and the people in the area will try attacking or hiding from you and you can’t interact with them anymore unless you fight away from little towns
This might be kind of a stretch, but i hope the game takes place in more than one area around the world, swinging around only in NY is fun and all, but id like to see Logan go around all sorts of different places with varying environments as the story unfolds
They could have Sabretooth constantly be hunting you throughout the game like Mr X in Resident evil 2.

I think the best way to do health for a Wolverine game is lean into a bit of the "beserker" thing, where killing enemies restores his health. Itd be a good way to keep the combat going without stopping to regenerate or look for health packs, and it also gives them a good reason to just throw a shit ton of enemies at you
If they had an open world, which is something that makes sense for Wolverine because he is a wanderer, he should be able to drive on a motorcycle and I think that they should make references to X-Men because that'd be nice.
After Spider-Man and wolverine I hope insomniac makes more marvel games I'd love to play a Daredevil game from them also a blade game, venom game, x 23 spinoff wolverine game and a ghost Rider game

Very specifically I want a Silver Samurai boss, and I want him to be INSANE, I want him to be a Jetstream Sam tier fight (maybe not Vergil tier, but definitely up there)
So they should basically take a lot of stuff from the Wolverine: Origins game, the combat was in depth and complex (for me at least), the game had a more linear yet open feel and story line and made use of some of Wolverines other abilities like healing factor, scent, etc and even took one of them away to further challenge the player. The puzzles were fun to figure out and it was just overall an amazing game and still one of the best superhero games in general

2. you should be able to fight with just your fists, i think a great opening could be the bar fight that was in the teaser
3. laura should be in the game, and i think it would be cool if she took up the wolverine mantle just recently, and i think logan should be a separate character now.
4. omega red, sabretooth, hulk, and maybe daken should all be in the game as boss fights, with sabretooth reappearing throughout the game
5. colossus or nightcrawler should have a cameo.
EDIT: i would love if this game was about logan giving up the mantle to laura and have her in the missions kinda like the last of us where shes with you the whole game and its about logan stepping down from wolverine and passing the torch to laura. DO NOT kill logan off though, at least not yet, i wanna see him interact with the other heroes that appear later down the line.

i hope this game has mini phases to the story like flashbacks and travel to significant points in logan’s history, maybe a map in japan and another in the early 1900’s or something. I think bouncing between time periods could really set the game apart.
Having each period fight differently could also be fun; early japan using a katana and dueling samurai, the 20th-19th century ones adding guns the the claw-melee, maybe a savage jungle period where you only have the claws but are heightened in health/speed.
I feel like it would be hard to pull off but i would really like a slo mo blade mode kinda like MGR had in this game i feel like that would be really cool

I want to fight the Hulk, Deadpool(voiced by Nolan North) and Sebastian Shaw.

If Marvel makes a Miles Morales-esque spin-off of the Wolverine game, I think Sabertooth is a better option, I know he's a villain, but it would be cool to see him goon assassination missions for Weapon X, not making him a good guy. There also should be more adult words, and more violents, I'm talking gut all over the floor violence. Plus, Sabertooth is in my top 5 Marvel villains.
Idk why but some elements from Days Gone gave me Wolverine energy. Probably just the motorcycle and tracking parts but still. A wilderness setting with lots of places to explore on foot and the bike mostly as a fun traversal between areas could be cool.

I would adore Scott McNeil getting a big role again. As a huge Beast Wars fan, I miss him greatly.
I came up with a weird concept for "dying" in a Wolverine game that I think fits better with the well-known fact that he, y'know, can't die. His health bar should be enormous, reflecting his famous propensity for tanking damage, but there should be greater consequences for losing fights. Instead of dying and respawning when his health bar reaches zero, he blacks out and reawakens in the fight arena after all the enemies are gone, having relocated somewhere else in the level. It's more of a setback than the usual death and would add some challenge and immersion. Not to mention, hunting down and butchering the guys who thought they had you killed would be extremely cathartic.
And another neat part is it could shift as the game goes on and you face different villains. Maybe some of them don't leave the room and you can just explode back to life, surprising them all. Or maybe some know about your healing factor and take your body with them, relocating you to an unfamiliar part of the level and forcing you to break out of whatever contingency they have for your inevitable awakening and find your way back to the path.
I know this is a crazy late comment, but hey, might as well leave it anyway.
Not a fan of open worlds (especially the Insomniac ones) but god I want to see Wolverine going through some American outback on his motorcycle

Laura Kinney is a great character but in order to include her I think she needs to start off in the story as X-23 and her arc is learning to grow past and reject whatever organisation is in charge of her in this universe. Think a similar story to the Tinkerer from Spider-Man: Miles Morales, despite being the final boss and Spider-Man's most personal enemy in the game she isn't the main antagonist, that goes to Simon Krieger. In this story Laura could be sent by the real villain and is the one Wolverine fights multiple times throughout the story as he discovers more of her origin and tries to save her. Also if the game is rated M have Laura be a child prostitute like was part of her origin in her first solo book
I mean they could also have side characters or references or mention Logan’s other kids like Draken and Gabrielle Kinney which would be interesting if they did like did a level were you work with them or save one

Yeah, I think Laura would be interesting, but I think for this game she should stay X-23, it’d be interesting to watch Logan try and help his daughter out throughout the game, if she immediately gets the mantle of Wolverine it’ll feel like a copout, this is Logan’s Story after all.

I personally would have the game take place before the Spider-man games, either before Spider-man was a hero or in his early days [maybe being indicated through an Amazing Fantasy #15 newspaper] at a point in the insomniac timeline where there were only about 3 or 4 heroes (Capsicle included).

Regnerating model is a given, but I would like to see the clothes not regen for the sake of a neat detail. I haven't seen the gameplay yet so I'm not sure how spaced out the levels are when Wolverine has to fight an enemy. A long stretched out area would work best with a high poke or high speed wolverine whom can traversal through a fight (lunges and the sort). Although a part of me feels like it the levels will be a bit closed in whenever a fight occurs.
EDIT// I would totally love a parry mechanic with Wolverine where he can reflect bullets/lasers with his claws while pushing away a melee attack.
I think wolverine and his daughter are both wolverine but logan wolverine is the og and has more interesting stories (IMO)

They didn't bother to give them a unique name so that's the only way we can differentiate who were talking about. I'm fine with Laura being Wolverine just like I'm fine with mild being Spider-Man, but when the other one is alive and also being that hero I feel like they should have just given these characters their own cool superhero name. I vote for Miles has to be called red back. It's a type of spider and he's the one with the red spider symbol so I think it fits well. It's better than what the Spidey friends call him, spin.

I understand that there's some idiots saying some shit like "woman can't be Wolverine" but some of us keep calling her like this or by her name mostly because referring to her as Wolverine doesn't feel right. Like she's been in comics so long but doesn''t deserve to be her own character with her own title. And there's so many characters like this in marvel and it just devalues their importance imo
Imagine it was like sifu where dying u just pop back up and levels are replayable cuz u get a score each lvl
In terms of structure i would love to see the game more linear like Rachet and Clank or Star Wars Jedi Fallen order with side missions and detective type missions giving you clues to a secret villian. As for villains Lady Deathstrike,Sabertooth,Cyber,Omega Red,Hulk and Silver Samurai are my picks.
As for suits i would love them to put the same effort for Wolverine as they did Spider-man. I would love to see a classic yellow and blue skin,Brown and tan skin,Weapon X skin,X-men movies leather suit team skin,Team X skin and a more customizable outfit option where for example if i wanna remove the cowl for Wolverine i can do that while his more casual fits are mix and matching like his jeans,denim jackets,leather jackets,shirtless,wife beaters and cowboy hats.
As for combat i want it brutal and also hand to hand combat without claws since he is a expert master martial artist rivaling even Batman and his past games and even movies never really brought that.
I think combat/enemy design and level design are gonna be really important. I need an ADVENTURE. I wanna be going from New York to Japan to Canada or some shit, and cool set pieces and maybe some platforming (standard character action game stuff), and I agree a health system would be good. And I definitely want something akin to devil may cry or bayonetta combat and enemy design wise, because it would be awesome. Easy to pick up for casuals on easy or normal and lots of depth with combos and cool enemies for higher skill play. Really hoping this one is good, I have faith in insomniac but also a little worried that it’ll just be ANOTHER triple A action game with easy button mashy combat, (which isn’t bad per say, but I really want some super hero games with more in depth dmc/bayonetta type combat), because this would be new ground for insomniac and I can easily seeing them just going the crowd pleasing route and just having easy combat, enemies, and bosses again with pretty visuals to distract people from how easy it is
Alright, hear me out, the game NEEDS to have the cutting system like the one in metal gear rising. IMO half of the fun in wolverine is his claws and a cutting mechanic would possibly make for cool puzzles and enemy ideas. Imagine a enemy that has a shield, your normal attacks dont do shit but you can cut it wide open with the mechanic... I just really want more games where i can cut things
