So. The production of a solo Flash movie, to put it extremely lightly, has been a complete and utter disaster. Even as far back as 2004, DC has been trying to get the Scarlet Speedster on the big screen, but still, everything seems to go wrong. AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE. Because, now that everything was finally in motion for DC to make a solo Flash movie, its lead actor, Ezra Miller, decided to TERRORIZE THE ENTIRE STATE OF HAWAII.
The reality is that there’s no saving this movie. And there’s no saving Ezra’s version of the character. Which sucks, because there’s a lot of people who’ve grown attached to this Barry Allen and a lot of people who worked on this movie that really care about it. But the only ethical thing to do with this film would be to either digitally replace not only one but two Barry Allens, or just completely scrap the movie altogether. Both of which would be absurdly expensive and most likely out of the question for a company who keeps on cutting project for tax cuts and who’s entire future is riding on the success of a single Dwayne Johnson movie.
And so the next best option is a soft reboot without Ezra Miller. Something to distance the character and the franchise away from them and their actions. I know for a fact I’ll probably end up talking about this movie again in the future and how I think they could make a Multiversal Flashpoint work, but for now here’s my pitch on How to Make a Flash Movie (Without Ezra Miller).

No. I think it should be retconned that Thawne had already won and that Miller was actually Thawne, after stealing a random guy's face, became "Barry" due to time travel shenanigans.
"Because boomerangs always come back," is the only acceptable reason to bring back Captain Boomerang and if they don't do it in the next Suicide Squad then we have failed as a society.
So basically, Into the Spider-Verse with speedsters.
As Wally West fan, I love your pitch, specially Wally and Mirror Master (who is my favorite Flash rogue by the way) dialogue, capturing the optimistic and kind personally of Wally that makes him such great hero.
I just have one suggestion: Besides Iris and Linda, I would also add to Wally supporting cast the Detective Hunter Zolomon, the villain Zoom. In the comics, he and Wally were friends and ally before a fight against Grodd result in Zolomon end up injured and paralysed and his friendship with Wally is broken after Flashrefused to go back in time to stop this event, not wanting to mess with timeline. In his attempt to cure himself, Zolomon end up suffering accident that cure him, giving super-speed, becoming Zoom, with him wanting to bring tragedy to Wally's life, believing that this was the only way to make Wally a better hero, one that doesn''t let other down.
This whole Zoom origin could work great as character arc in the trilogy, just like what Sam Raimi did with Harry Osborn in his Spider Man trilogy.
Yeah because his story is more believable than Harry because if you have seen the FanScription what if Venom wasn’t in Spider-Man 3 and if you remember in No way home that Sandman said that everyone knew that Norman was the green goblin.

@@srstriker6420 Plus, the original idea of Sam Raimi for Harry, in which he would have him not becoming a Globin, since that would just be repetation of story he already did with Norman. He would be in conflict at first about helping Peter but wouldn't instanly follow his father footsteps

You could have Zoom in the 2nd and he in the end, despite being defeated could kill one the person close to Wally, causing him to make an oath, one his famous catchphrases: "Nobody dies"
Then the 3rd film put Wally words to test. Taking inspiration from "Gorilla Warfare" and "Terminal Velocity", it could have Wally discovering (maybe with the help of Bart Allen) that Grodd will invade Central City and this event will end with Linda Park death.
In order to prevent this future, Wally could learn rom another speedsters (like to Jay Garrick or Max Mercury) about how to improve his speed. During the big battle, he would prevent Linda death, but the overuse of his power could cause Wally to end up in the Speed Force, being chase by Black Flash. This could be the moment where he reunite with Barry, and, with his help (plus his bond with Linda), Wally could escape and return in time to defeat Grodd. When the villain ask how Wally did this, he could answer: "Like I said: Nobody dies!"
Zoom doesn’t have super speed, he can control his own timeline giving the illusion of super speed, he’s out of sync with time.
One of your best yet! I really like the story, and the names of the devices are hilarious. Wally's existence is such an obvious go-to for saving the Flash movie franchise.

My issue with the Rebirth suit isn’t that it doesn’t look good. I think it looks awesome. What I don’t like is that if you put Barry and Wally next to each other in their respective suits, Barry is *The* Flash and Wally is the other Flash.
I’d be okay with it if when they brought him back, they immediately had him take back over as the primary Flash so that people would associate that costume with The Flash instead of other Flash. There was even an ongoing gag around that time, where Wally’s not The Flash but he’s a Flash.
Yeah that makes sense, but you could argue the same thing about Jay Garrick and Barry and the difference in those designs. I think it’s moreso down to how the media portrays the Flashes than anything else

I've been seeing so many people online misgendering them and when I try to correct them they say "I'll respect [their] pronouns when [they] stop doing horrible things" and it's like what does their gender have to do with their actions? You're not being shitty towards a specific person if you make it about their gender, you're being shitty towards all trans people. You're saying "your rights only matter, you only deserve respect if I say you do." And that's not alright.
Individuals tend to lose their rights when they do horrible shit. That's the way it's always been. Otherwise nobody would ever have any incentive to not do shit like that.

I think hunter zolomon would be a great villain for a future pre-write as he fits into the whole “legacy” theme perfectly as he takes up the mantle of Thwane. Then you also have an opportunity to bring up Thwane so he doesn’t feel absent from this universe.
I really like your idea, and I agree that Wally should be The Flash right now. The only thing I'd change is, I would reshoot the end of The Flash with Ezra"s Barry running into the speed force, and pops out as a doppleganger. Then, I would shoot your idea with Barry making way for Wally. At this point, I don't think WB can afford NOT to release the current film in some form. I love The Flash, and I really want to see him succeed in a proper movie universe.

watching it 1 year later and seeing the subtitle 'legacy' in a dc movie that recast the main hero and establish a new continuity feels really different now
i think if they keep the movie how it is currently the closest thing they could do to save it, and the best way to recast the flash and actually make it make sense is for them to film and add in one final scene at the end of the movie. ezra millers flash is celebrating whatever victory they get, he sees iris and goes to her but before they get there a portal of lightning appears and another flash runs out, yellow lightning surrounding the area. ezra’s flash looks over before the new flash stops, in a stance ready to fight before he screams out, angry “stay away from her!” and ezra’s flash gives and evil smile “so you finally got out… i wondered how long it would take you” then starts running, a yellow flash suit starting to appear around him right before he grabs iris and runs off. the new flash runs off screaming “THAWNE” and boom. ezra has been thawne this whole time and captured the original barry allen and trapped him in some sort of time prison… a point paradox even… and they went back to when batman found the original and took over his life. boom bop bam ezra is a bad guy in and out of film, we have a new barry allen, and in future movies if we want thawne back we could use a different actor and give some excuse that all the timey wimey stuff has changes who he is and some of his family tree but he is still the same person

Love this prewrite!!!! Love the inclusion of Mirror Master and I genuinely think he’s one of the best antagonists you have. Noticed Nightwing and Wally figures hanging out in the studio and that was pretty good. I don’t think it matters that the pitch is similar to Spider-Verse cause in Blitz everyone got mind wiped into forgetting Wally was the Flash so that’s a fair trade. Keep it up!

I think the best option to replace ezra as barry allen is lucas till. I think he is the perfect choice he looks like barry and all the characters he has played in his recent films have the qualities barry has as a person and he is young enough and not well known enough to be one of the main characters of a movie franchise

An adaptation of Born to Run would be my favorite Comic book movie of all time.
This movie looks gold. I’ve been a fan of Wally West and the Flash, I’m glad that you’re version has Flash become a legacy character through Wally instead of using Barry and stealing Wally’s stuff for him. Mirror Master was always a character I hoped to have a main villain and not always another speedster like the Reverse Flash immediately. So I lowkey appreciate the aspects and appropriation of these idea for the film. And thank you! You explained perfectly on why making Barry Wally or Bart is just wrong on so many levels in favor for Wally. I hope the new DCEU realize that and just use Wally and make a unique story instead of trying to cope him out just to do that with Barry. Barry Allen isn’t really the Flash. Flash is a legacy character taken by many people other than Barry. So after spending 10 years of live action with Barry on the CW, I think it’d be a cool and wise move to make the new decade around Wally instead of Barry again.

Personally, I think the movie should still be released. I don’t believe a digital replacement would be necessary. I have the same feeling about Spider-Man Lotus. The actions of A couple of people shouldn’t ruin some thing for everyone. Hundreds of people still worked on these films, people who just wanna make a really enjoyable project for others to watch. Their work shouldn’t be discarded because of a couple of people.
I was honestly hoping that you would use Flash Thompson from the Tom Holland Trilogy as your puppet for Flash, considering that you used Flash for him in your Collage Trilogy 😂

Though, there are three things that I would change.
Those things I would change are:
A) Evan McCulloch starts off as a new hero, and when the public continue to hate him and criticise him for being a hero, he becomes the new Mirror Master. Then, about 10-20 minutes later (in real time) the final battle takes place.
B) Develop Wally West's life outside being The Flash more.
C) Have it take more than just a wrench for Wally to shut down the machine.
Another idea for a post credits scene could be Scudder getting launched forwards in time and awaking in the Knightmare future.
I've also had this idea for a while where if we ever redo Barry disappearing we have it so Wally refuses to give up the mantle as kid flash and instead of some grand hero moment it's his city central city telling him he should take up Barry's mantle because he has become their new symbol of hope
