Agostino, I think we should also look at trends in the world. Right now tech is proving to be a very hot sector. If you get a degree in something that doesn't have alot of demand, you can't expect to get a job right away. Great video and just subscribed.
Sure, my friend! I think that it's very important to "sniff" the trends and plan to build our skills on that. It's not so simple, but we can make some strategies to hack it ;)

Tech has always been hot and will be obviously - but it also can be soulless prostitution and not have an happiness ROI - and i speak from experience on that. What happens when your passion does not reside on a degree path? Academic institutions are slow to catch up on bleeding edge tech - which is constantly shifting and changing. How do u ride that wave? Much important humanities work is not in big demand from a corporate demand perspective but is important work in the world. The opiate epidemic is because of meaninglessness, not lack of well paying work.
@@richellesteyn very good points. Tech is not the only industry. I am a relocation and business consultant so I see the constant shift in industries among the market. As far as when your passion does not rise in your degree path, I have to ask why are you getting that degree? Is it a personal choice or are you being forced due to family situations? I believe there is a balance between what you love and what skills are in demand. I think we just have to have realistic expectations and be prepared to adapt to coming changes. I have changed my career twice due to market shifts so I speak from a lot of experience. I see so many young people graduating and expecting a great job that fits their degree right out of college. Is that realistic? For most people it isn't.
