Why would anyone buy it now? Even if the state or someone else fixed it up, and charged people to see it, it still probably wouldn’t be enough money to maintain it. Maybe best to just leave it to the elements and the wildlife. Mimi Morrison owns the title but it’s been declared a wildlife sanctuary for the birds and sea lions. So as you might “own” the title you wouldn’t be able to do anything with it as far as restoring it. They tried to use it as a mausoleum I think for awhile? Before it was declared a sanctuary.
It's only a matter of time when the whole structure collapses into the ocean. The winter storms are taking a toll on the rock, which was weakened with the blasting to level the top of it for the lighthouse.
He had the right idea but went about it without a long term plan, the greatest bird shooting platform in the world, endless wing shooting, a bar, cigar room and high stakes poker games.
The couple sold it, very soon after this.....they did not know how inhospitable the place actually is.

It was a terrible idea to sell Terrible Tillie. The private ventures haven’t worked out, and its highest and best use is as a wildlife sanctuary.
