It seemed so cool till they said it smells like ass. Kills my curiosity
Is it haunted? 👻
there is in fact a story of a 'ghost ship' that passed by one day, freaking out all the attendants. Look up Ghost Stories of Oregon book
@@aliassmithandjones9453 Thanks, sounds spooky 👻
Just discovered your Channel. Loved the Sailing with Beau! His Boat Luscious with two hull colors and Eyeball Spinnaker were legendary! I also spent a night on the Ol Tilly as a 5th Generation Oregonian. Did you know Ralph Aslan? Taught Cameras at PCC and raced the Sailboat Oblio! Thank You! RESPECT!
RESPECT! 5th Generation Oregonian says Thanks!
One thing about Tilly……………………no graffiti. Plus plus
God bless those amazing people for doing gods work 🙏
Who? Who's doing god's work? 😂😂 The birds will be ok without human interference... Them people definitely aren't doing "god's work"
Funny how then it was birds and now thousands of seals are tearing up the lighthouse…nature reclaiming
I thought the same thing
It's only a matter of time when the whole structure collapses into the ocean. The winter storms are taking a toll on the rock, which was weakened with the blasting to level the top of it for the lighthouse.
Flash forward to 2022. Tillamook rock along with the lighthouse is for sale. Asking price $6.5 million.
Why would anyone buy it now? Even if the state or someone else fixed it up, and charged people to see it, it still probably wouldn’t be enough money to maintain it. Maybe best to just leave it to the elements and the wildlife. It looks pretty sturdy, will probably still be there in a couple hundred more years….unless that Cascadian subduction earthquake happens….
Mimi Morrison owns the title but it’s been declared a wildlife sanctuary for the birds and sea lions. So as you might “own” the title you wouldn’t be able to do anything with it as far as restoring it. They tried to use it as a mausoleum I think for awhile? Before it was declared a sanctuary.
Hell I’d buy it for $3.50
@@jeltoninc.8542 about tree fidy sounds right
3:30 shoveling bird poo is what you need in your life.
who owns it now?
What a bunch of ostentatious imbeciles with way too many resources! The sound of their moron vomit is nauseating.
You too
The couple sold it, very soon after this.....they did not know how inhospitable the place actually is.
I was born in Tillamook 68 years ago its sad that the lighthouse wasn't preserved more.

I met this guy at the Toledo Wooden Boat festival 2017, he was the nicest guy you ever wanted to meet. I could tell he could get the most out of any crew of sailors.
What’s with the penguins
He had the right idea but went about it without a long term plan, the greatest bird shooting platform in the world, endless wing shooting, a bar, cigar room and high stakes poker games.
The problem might be wildlife laws to limit how you would treat the "unwelcome guests."
Who’s gonna find out if you burn their silly little corpses???
It was a terrible idea to sell Terrible Tillie. The private ventures haven’t worked out, and its highest and best use is as a wildlife sanctuary.
Much better views of Tilly then I can get on my channel. Would love to get a chance to walk inside. She is in a very sad state now.
They’re looking for volunteers to spend 3 nights at it fixing it up. For some dumb reason they thought mid March would be the perfect time.
