What is “terrible” is that Tilly was sold to private owners when it shut down. The only appropriate use is as wildlife habitat. It is part of a National Wildlife Refuge, and people should just leave it alone.

It is for sale if you want to buy it and let it be. No shame in that. Also we can only go when the migration season is over

      @@johnkeating2828,
This is a great vid of a short flight! Lol! I too was wondering on the purpose of this trip/trips and am gratified to see that it involved some most needed work there! I wonder what is planned next and if it all if all the work consists of shoring up/preventative maintenance, which is good of course!?
Did you take much footage of its state at this time and is there a link that you could offer yet so that we could see this historic place in its present condition!?
For your information I read down in comments and got all of my questions above answered! Lol Thank you very much for the footage that you have posted and good luck to you buddy! What a neat opportunity for you and the crew involved! It's very neat to know that people care enough about the structure to spend a little time on it!

Day-ummm! I would have lost my schidt as soon as we got over the water.
I have a ton of questions about your trek out to the lighthouse.
I’ve been somewhat captivated by the rock and it’s back history.
It’s super wild to see the Huttmans video footage from out there in the mid 70’s and then to see your footage from a few months ago.
What’s the structure the helicopter landed on? That roof looks sus and I personally would be reluctant to land anything heavy on the roof from the looks of the cracking going on.
There’s a structure hanging over the side of the rock. Is that the old outhouse?
How do all those sea lions get all the way up to the structure????
It looks super steep for even me.
How do you get them to exit your work area? One of those are equal to two and a half of me.
Stay safe out there! Bring a epurb and some KB just in case.
      Thanking you in advance!

Owner asked us not to film inside. I cut off the camera right when we landed. It was not a easy going, chill trip. We had to unload the chopper immediately so there was no time for messing around
