I took this flight and it was great. It cost me $400. We hovered above the Hoover Dam to take photos and then flew on into the Grand Canyon. I got to sit in the copilot seat on the way out. When we landed it was on part of a Native American tribe's land, and we were served a nice box lunch before we headed back to Vegas. It was a once in a lifetime adventure.
$400 fuck, I could get a 30 minute helicopter flight over south Cork, Ireland for €110. Seems like they want to charge for the scenery. I'm going to the grand canynon next year but I'll skip the helicopter.
@@cattlewranglerwalsh116 For some perspective recently spent a week on a self-guided trip through the upper canyon (Lee's Ferry to Phantom Ranch) over a period of 7 days. It cost just a little more than a helicopter ride. And I guarantee we saw stuff that was just as cool.
I’m going to Arizona in February 2023 my friends taking me to see the Grand Canyon. I hear I better bring a warm coat. I’d love to go on the helicopter ride.
We took this very flight on Maverick helicopters and it was amazing. The guy that took this video actually did good job because once you get over the canyon it feels like you're just suspended over it and nothing is moving. The video here has lots of zooming in and clean shooting. There are moments in life where I tear up and thank God for so much overwhelming scenic beauty and the helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon definitely was one of them. As an aside, at 5:40 I asked the pilot (the microphones are two-way) if he was aware of how close the North wall was getting and he was very smooth in deflecting the question and I couldn't help but think that it was my mistaken perception and his response had to be one that put me and the other passengers at ease. Lifetime memory for sure!
Rivedendo le immagini del filmato ho rivissuto la grande emozione che ho provato... Gran canion con elicottero regalo di mia sorella Franca che vive in America!!!!! Grazie, sorellina!!!!!
The South Rim of the Grand Canyon nearest to Grand Canyon National Park has the most spectacular views. The helicopter tour is an amazing way to kick off a visit to the park.
been there a million times and its still fascinating when relatives come to visit its always a trip up there ..mom even worked there and said they were her most special years. Thanks for the eagle eye express here what a job huh
We drove to Grand Canyon from Ohio August 2022 didn't know there was a huge dragon no one mentioned it , I know now after watching this video a month later my woman calls me her dragon! Thanks for the flight!
Hi, I'm from Singapore. my daughter just visited here 2 days ago. When she is back, will ask her all about it. The costing, on-board stuff, souvenirs. She is there studying and will Vegas Uni in 1 month's time.
We did this back in 1995 - in a fixed wing aircraft. They play classic music over the headsets don't they whilst the pilot tells you all about what you are looking at. Its amazing in a fixed wing because as you go over the rim of the Canyon the aircraft kind of jumps a little because of the thermals. It was an amazing experience. We were told that Dances with Wolves was filmed here...
Awesome video captures the majesty of The Grand Canyon and river Colorado. Thanks to Americans for naming the peaks as Vishnu, Shiva and Jupiter- they really look like ancient temples in architecture.
Did it in Vegas Best time ever. Do not miss it. These people go 1st class on everything. About as close to a flying car as we can get now. Put it down just about any where you want. At 3 and 1/2 mil its off my wish list for now.
A nice ride, and I see both rims are covered, as Mount Hayden appears in one scene (the pinnacle sticking up, below Point Imperial). Helicopters are not allowed to go below the rim to preserve the pristine experience for most people. It's possible to do so, if disaster strikes. I did many Backpacking trips thru the Canyon when younger, off both rims. On one difficult and off trail trip, I got hurt and had to get evacuated by helicopter, from near the bottom, something no tourist can pay to do. The injury was painful and required a surgery at the GCNP hospital. However, you can bet I stared out the window on the way up and out, as pain didn't stop me from experiencing this ride. And to answer a question a troll might ask, my health insurance paid for the rescue, as the helicopter was seen as an ambulance. The pilot and hospital did a very good, professional job. I was more cautious on my next two trips down there!
Excellent Video. Like you did with some of your other vacation videos, could you also provide a full length or extended length of this trip? Would like to enjoy as much as possible of this adventure. Thanks Tim.
Great video, great footage. It's just really too bad that no video can ever do the Canyon justice. You really have no idea how monstrous and amazing it is until you're in it, and even then it's hard to comprehend. The tour I took last year was probably the most awe-inspiring 3 hours of my life; definitely a bucket list item.
Mr. Hoosie, what was this helicopter tour? The one departing from South Rim? Can you help me? Im heading to LV and Canyon soon.... wanna do the same tour you did, just spetacular! Tks!
For some reason i feel homesick when i see the Grand Canyon. Like i have some memory but can't put my finger on it.... Must be a past life memory or something...? I think it's the most beautiful place on earth!
You can't shoot video through a window cause all you get is a reflection that washes out the details. the camera should be mounted on the outside of the copter to get good clear detail. When I click on "full screen" it;s all blurry anyway!
hoosie, great video pal, i have a question plz, how did you video just the sound of the pilot,s commentary and no noise from the chopper ? really good how you have put it together, i go in 3 weeks, i'm petrified to be honest but have promised my wife and son, just scared especially after last years accident. could you message me back plz, once again brill job on the video, breathtakin stuff.
Since I was a child, one of my dreams was flying above the grand canyon, and now I'm so excited because I'm going in November, and very happy too because I didn't have to wait too much time, cause I'm still a teen hahaha. Great video, Greetings from Perú 🇵🇪
Great video. This can't really convey how dry and dusty it is. However, the experience of coming over the rim and suddenly seeing it - that was how it felt when I was at the Canyon. The South rim is much more interesting than the north, hard to do both, very roundabout trip. there still aren't many bridges across.
Amazing vlog tim! I cannot believe you shot it 11 yrs ago... the video quality was awesome. By the way, didn't you land in the grand canyon? I just came across James Asquith's video where he landed there and explored it...
Thanks for watching and for the kind comments. I did not land in the canyon. I wish I had. I'd also like to go rafting through the canyon but that takes several days. I don't mind roughing it during the day but I like to return to my luxury hotel room at night. 😎

Is that a god dam?
True, i was just in vegas and they were only charging 225 dollars for this helicopter tour. @cattlewranglerwalsh116
I did this tour while I visited Las Vegas. The canyon is is unbelievably breathtaking
I was there three weeks ago, at the north rim, its breathtaking and impossible to comprehend !Thanks for uploading

I had the privilege to fly over this beautiful place just completely amazing. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
This is the best video I've seen of this spectacular site, but I doubt any video can do it justice. Bucket list!
we also took a helicopter flight from las vegas to the grand canyon.. that was one of the best things in our lives so far !!
Oh my gosh, if it's this beautiful on a computer screen- just think of how amazing it was riding over it in real life!! Gorgeous, and breathtaking.
Hi how are you
I am writing to you after five years
Hope you are good
GRAND CANYON IS BREATHTAKING BEAUTY!
What an amazing video; thank you so much for this wonderful sightseeing opportunity!
We did this very flight back in 2014. Brings back great memories, nice work.
Words can't describe that beauty!
+Donna Blackiston I agree
They can.
I was there last year. It revives wonderful memories. It's like a dream comes true. Very very beautiful and grandiose.
This is a dream flight over the beautiful canyon worthy of millions of views👍🏻
Absolutely gorgeous! Tears of tranquility.
Rivedendo le immagini del filmato ho rivissuto la grande emozione che ho provato... Gran canion con elicottero regalo di mia sorella Franca che vive in America!!!!! Grazie, sorellina!!!!!
Stunning, absolutely STUNNING. I cant believe how amazing our world is! It is mind blowing
Wow...must be one of the greatest adventures you can do on this earth....
Awesome! I do not understand why some people downvote such a video.
Absolutely Amazing.Just stunning.Great video with tour guide.Loved it.

I live in Scotland, people come to see out lochs, hills and castles, but IV gotta c this one day
I love this video. Thanks for sharing. We went to the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago. Would have loved to have been able to take this tour.
I did this a few years ago and absolutely freaked out when we first flew over the rim of the canyon but the view was spectacular!
Im going in 2 weeks. This is breathtaking
We drove to Grand Canyon from Ohio August 2022 didn't know there was a huge dragon no one mentioned it , I know now after watching this video a month later my woman calls me her dragon! Thanks for the flight!

I took a 20 min helicopter tour of the grand canyon with my brother in 1986. Cost $60 back then and was a fantastic experience…
It amazes you when you stand on the edge of it.

I went to west rim this past weekend. It was breathtaking!🥰
Have any gemstones been recovered from the Grand Canyon? Stuff worth cutting? Maybe petrified wood, fossils.opal, agate, geodes?.
Wow.. this is cool. We went there but we didn’t ride this coz im afraid. Can i get one from you. Thanks
watching this vid while listening to Now we are free (Gladiator) and it looks awesome. The song goes well with the video too.
Thanks for uploading this because when we went on the tour I was 6 and I fell asleep on the helicopter tour!....
Visiting the US in September this year visiting the Grand Canyon it is an Unbelievable experience we'll be coming back
Yes I Flew with Maverick 3 Times!!!! I love the Pilots! They were Great! tip them Well!
Very nice, just what I wanted to see.The helicopter ride was worth the money when I went.
Thanks for sharing. I am going there on 6 Apr 2013. That will be a once in a lifetime experience....
from my tropical campound, blessing and respect for sharing

Spectacular and awe-inspiring ❤❤❤
I'm going to the Grand Canyon in September from Chicago on the Southwest Chief.
Random question but would you get nauseous going on the helicopter? I suffer from motion sickness but really want to do this
what were the on board brochures and snacks like? Coke or Pepsi? Was the souvenir shop good?
Fantastic video...... thanks for posting

I did the tour a day back and I agree with you. No photo, no video can justify this natural wonder. One has to visit.
Does the smog from L.A. still blow into the Grand Canyon? I bet the canyon looks totally different after a heavy rain darkens the colors of canyon.
Actually sometimes you can't see the Grand Canyon because of the clouds!
Mr. Hoosie, what was this helicopter tour? The one departing from South Rim? Can you help me? Im heading to LV and Canyon soon.... wanna do the same tour you did, just spetacular! Tks!
Breathtaking
Wow... !!! My best friend, It's always great. We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks
For some reason i feel homesick when i see the Grand Canyon. Like i have some memory but can't put my finger on it.... Must be a past life memory or something...? I think it's the most beautiful place on earth!

Vendo em 2023. Para mim o Grand Canyon é um livro aberto contando em cada página a história do dilúvio universal.

Could one fly a helicopter on Marrs? Is there enough atmosphere to support one?

No, Native Americans dug it.

Proud to hear Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu at the Grand Canyon.
is this the discovery tour that departs from grand canyon west?
I'm going there this June
What STATE is the Grand Canyon?
Fantasztikus.
hey can you drop me where the ant people took the Indian people underground for the space weather many thousands years ago
That must have been a hell of a river when it first started carving the canyon into the rock....the sheer size is hard to fathom.
How do we get a reservation for ride weekof july 4-9?
I live in Arizona were the Grand Canyon is and I've seen it 4 times.
Jacob H I live in Alaska and have never seen it ..
Awesome sharing here ! Wonderful filming accomplished ! 5 thumbs up Video ! :-)
