So glad to see these products reviewed. Not enough airsofters talk about teeth coverage and alternatives to those uncomfortable lower mesh masks. Great vid
I really do not understand how in 2023 we still allow people to go onto airsoft fields without facepro.
@@robrobusa Because having the option to fuck up your own teeth is something liberty provides. I don't ever want to play without face protection, but I can appreciate why the milsim guys think it is worth the risk. It should always be your own risk to take, you're paying the bill to fix your face later anyway.
@robrobusa well me at the moment have a full face but I'm moving into a tactical mask kinda like what he looked at because I don't mind getting shot in the face makes it a bit more real but I don't want to lose my teeth 😂 😅
Thanks man for an actual honest review. Definitely getting a lonestar face cover. Just getting back into airsoft after some years. I was alot younger and i could distinctly remember the fogging problem and have been doin research for the best set up for fogging, protection, and aiming down sights. Thanks agian
loving my new Delta Mike Mk2 at the moment (very similar to the Lonestar). Don't mind pulling it up over my nose temporarily in outdoor CQB situations but for a full day of indoor CQB I stick to my Dye mask.

I have the very same one from Lonestar Tactical, this new one isn't very comfortable. I bought one last year from them and they were selling the Cygnus Armory Face Warrior version which has thicker padding. I tend to use the Cygnus version over their new one tbh. Lately I'm just using the Heroshark Mask which is way more comfy with a helmet setup

Great video. Been using the one tigress foldable mask for a while. I have one that I modified to attach to my helmet and then I have the stock one
I have tried the Delta Mike Pro but felt it suffered with the same issues around the lack of nose protection, so I now use a Heroshark mesh mask that protects my mouth and nose but is narrow so it doesn’t effect my cheek weld - I have attached it to my goggles as an “all in one” but it comes with elastic so you can wear it independently too and I just stick it under a standard camo balaclava.

This stuff saved my airsoft life, made airsoft enjoyable again and helped so much with fogging too,
I run ess goggles with their airsoft nose protecting guard in combination with the snood style mouth mesh guard, i never get shot in the ears but i do in the face and nose a lot, so i just keep the back part on my neck and run the mesh part under the chin strap so that keeps it up and also prevents it riding up into my nose and aching, much more breathable that way too
shout out to airsoft face pro uk! Personally i prefer their stuff to delta mike but both are great
As regards to the cheek weld They should just make a version that has the extended nose piece but lacking the cheek protection, best of both worlds

Love that you added in the part at the end.It's easy to say what you prefer at home but you never know until you go to a game really do you?
I have the ghost and venom mask and really like them. No problem aiming with my ak, acr, scorpion whatever. I have a similar mask to the lonestar and don't really like it that much. The prefer the added protection from the nb mask and the low profile look.
what eye protection are you using in the end in the small gameplay scene?
Don’t know if you’ve seen it yet but lonestar tactical are bringing out a newer version of the mesh mask which has a nose cover included? Also going to be available in a few different colour options too, might be something you’d like?

I'm an early adopter of the nb tactical gear. Running the neck gaiter and the Fortis V2 myself. I'm very happy with them and don't have any issue while aiming down sight. At first I wasn't quite convinced that the mask would hold inside the neck gaiter or balaclava but it hasn't let me down so far.
How's it now after a year?

I like the ghost mask as that gives nose protection. Having had my nose broken several times with what I do and rugby/ boxing I dont want an exposed nose whilst having a laugh on a weekend playing airsoft.
Good to hear about that Lonestar. I JUST bought an equivalent from Cygnus Armory in a knock off Pencott pattern. I am worried about the nose being exposed also. Did you just place some fabric there or did you actually fix something permanently on it through sewing or glue or whatnot?
Nose hits aren´t that common. have been wearing on for like 1 year and only get about 1 hit on the nose in CQB like once in 5 Games or so. The Only thing i dont like is that the Metal isnt fully Covering up to the nose.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Delta Mike. Very similar to both but made in the UK and now have a larger guarded mouth piece with the new Gen2.

i just run a fortis v2 and a generic green neck gaiter with some pyramex eyepro and that does the job for me
Have you seen the spec-ops Sierra much the same as the one you reviewed but looks like it has the extra nose protection you wanted

the lonestar feels like the most comfortable. And its the best camo. Maybe you can change the camo on the other but atleast, it looked the best out of all of them in my opinion

Great video, glad to see some actual thoughts on the Ghost Mask Fortis thing I keep seeing advertised. I’m another Delta Mike Facepro fanboy - I’ve got a crooked witch nose from breaking it a few times so leaving my nose exposed is the only way for me to play comfortably (and stay fog-free).
I really want to lobe the Ghost Mask as it is lovely quality.

I recent got one of the Delta Mike mk2 snoods. Seems pretty similar to the Lonestar. Had the same concerns about the nose and when playing at battlestations recently. Sure enough took a round to the side of the nose. Would be interested in your work around to protect the nose.
How bad was the damage from getting hit in the nose? I know those hard areas with thin skin bleed alot.
I think you could probably modify the middle of your goggles with some gorilla tape to at least take the edge off of a nose hit

How do you avoid fog in thorse rainy days?
looks a bit the emsh under the balaclava looks a bit goofy but still cool. the thing is you can absolutely do it yourself by cannibalizing a cheap mesh mask. I cut out a small rectangle from an old mesh mask, took the fabric that was put around the mesh mask and sowed it around the mesh rectangle. Have it under my normal balaclava and it works great
Great video! I use the Delta Mike Face pro which is similar to the LoneStar Tactical one but is made in the UK. I'd recommend them to anyone after that style and wants to support a UK business too.

I believe the lonestar one is also made in the uk ..I like the fact that lonestar seem to have a constant stock and for the price you really can’t complain they seem comfy round the mesh and fit nice not to baggy if ya know what I mean.
@@Kartaholic watch the video. It says made in Pakistan. I think they (LST) are a UK company but their product is made abroad where the DM ones are made in the UK. 🇬🇧
Where can I find that balaclava?
I have a chinese copy of the NB Tac balaclava and it's really good. I have made my own custom mesh mask to go underneath and it works really well. i can get a full cheekweld and it's so low profile that people can't even tell that I have a mask underneath the balaclava. I often get asked why I don't wear face protection and I respond by asking them to knock on my mask. It always surprises people.
Any more info on this please?! Howd you make your own, what did you use etc, be great to try this myself
I'm waiting for one of the balaclava type face mesh companies to bring one out that is shaped to cover over the nose better. Nothing worse than going into a meeting the next day at work with you nose looking like you've even been punched on it or got a outbreak of acne
The lonestar one is great. Comfortable with cap and glasses on.
I have all 3 of them And I used them all for different reasons in different situations

Ps could you maybe show off the nose guard you made? Might try it for milsim so where goggles might be a bit too heavy

I use DM face masks, but I have modded mine to incorporate nose protection. I’ve cut off the nose part of old cheap mesh masks and cable tied it to the DM.

I use a piece of silicon that's designed for cosplay and a fabric surgical style mask to protect my mouth... the only problem I find is that makes my ear stick out like the FA cup
might be picking up a one tigris and a londestar to compare myself after this, that ghost mask looks the business but if it gets in the way of playing whats the point y'know.
The NB is quality, I’d like to try it with the smaller mesh to see if it’s better.

I run the delta Mike face protection, very similar to the lone star tactical mask you've got there
I love it for CQB and I'll be wearing it at the milsim I'm going to in a couple of weeks for when I go into the buildings and get up close and personal
I also use the Delta Mike. Paid a bit to getbit here to the US, but al the end of the day, I love it. Light weight, breathable and protects the parts I want to protect. And the cheek weld is as if Im not wearing anything.
I did add a small bit of shaped foam to my goggles to fill in the bridge of the nose area thats exposed.
I have been using it since last fall and its become my every day mask now. I even wore it to American MILSIM's Copperhead 6 event in Playas, NM last September. Playas is only 20 miles North of the Mexican boarder and so it was incredibly hot all weekend. High temps in the 90s! I never once felt over-heated or sweaty with the DM face pro on. I'll be wearing it again next month down in Perry, GA when I play Ironhorse 4 at the Gardian Center. Should be a bit cooler at that one. Low to mid 70s, but humid.

The lonestar tactical snood is a Delta Mike Face Pro rip off. I have seen someone do product testing of this one against the delta mike and the mesh in thre lonestar caves in which can still damage your teeth.

You should cut the plastic out of you old mask an use it with the mesh balaclava on the second mask
Got the lonestar, but to be honest I dont like them at all. Plus the build quality doesn’t fit the pricetag.
1st of all they stink.
If you ever experienced the cheap plastic smell on a southeastasian market you know what I mean.
2nd the sewing is not very good and I had to redo some of the seams.
3rd the buff or balaclava is glued to the metal mesh. Even by bending it to fit properly, some of the glue ripped open.
After all the quality is disappointing and with the smell I’ll never going to wear it. :(
dunno how people can play with standard eye pro. its ALWAYS fogs no matter what. only thing that doesnt fog are dye paintball masks, sadly they make it hard to aim
