Please keep in mind I did end up scoring it for $30, but I'm very impressed with corsair's work and I would definitely recommend this headset!

Hard to pick because the headsets with the best headphone audio usually have the worst mics. My top 5 headsets overall are the Audeze Maxwell, Drop + EPOS PC38X, Logitech G Pro X 2, EPOS H6PRO, and HyperX Cloud III. Of all of those, only the HyperX Cloud III has a good mic, so I'd have to go with that one.

Tough one. BlackShark V2 right now because it's on sale and the software is really good and actually works. If you see these at full price, the BlackShark V2 ($100) isn't worth it, so I'd get the HS65 instead.
Is there a way to use this headset without the USB adapter on a PC? I have the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming WiFi II with the "dual OP amps" and my HS50's could get so much louder than these HS65's. The HS50's used the 3.5mm cables. Technically they were a Y splitter cable. I have all the supporting software to allow my PC to fully utilize anything plugged into the 3.5mm jacks. For example: Realtek Audio Console which allows me to fully crank the amplifier up. Then I use Sonic Studio III for a few equalizer effects. I also have Dolby Atmos and DTS Sound Unbound w/ DTS Headphone X, DTS: X and DTS:S Home Theater (purchased both Dolby Atmos and DTS SU on the MS Store). I've tried using the 3.5mm Y splitter from the Corsair HS50 headset I had to no avail. I can't get any audio. I don't want to use the USB adapter because I can't get the audio levels as loud as I would like. When I use the Realtek Audio Console with 3.5mm plugs and max out the amplifier and then use SSIII to use "Deep and Clear" equalizer preset + some bass and treble and use either Dolby Atmos or DTS:X Headphone, I'm able to get sound levels that can nearly blow the headphone speakers out. That's not how I actually USE my headphones, it's just nice to have that extra leeway so Irrrr can have the OPTION to have as much loudness as I want/need. Be it in game or playing music. TL;DR I can't use the HS65 Surround headphones on my PC unless using the USB plug. When using that, I can't use my Realtek Audio Console software to crank up my amplifier and the headphones just aren't loud enough for my liking. Sound quality is fine... but yeah. Is there a way to get these headphones to work on PC without using the silly USB adapter?
FYI this is the entire reason I use wired headsets instead of wireless headsets... so that I can take advantage of my motherboard's onboard audio (which is quite good if I do say so myself). The USB adapter doesn't hold a candle to the onboard audio of the Asus B550-F Gaming WiFi II. It's the same onboard audio as the Asus B450-F Gaming II if I'm not mistaken. The S1220a codec and all. And like I said, I already purchased both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for spatial sound, so I don't "need" the USB adapter to have spatial sound.
I just tested mine and was able to get both the mic and headphone audio to work. My setup is an ASRock X670e. The Y splitter I have is from the Razer BlackShark V2 X. I bought these headphones (namely wired) sound after hyperx cloud alpha is better, but in games the positioning after hyperx is just terrible, I don't hear footsteps at all and I don't navigate in space. I've tried different iCUE presets, but there's no effect. There is a solution to this problem
Hi sir I play on PS5 only and I'm currently using the Logitech pro x 2 wireless headphones and The audeze Maxwell and I'm keeping the Logitech pro x 2 wireless headphones for my every day driver the Maxwell you can change the sound on the app but I don't really see much of a chance in sound when you pick a different equalizer settings the Logitech pro x 2 wireless headphones you can only change sound on the hub I think the sound changes over for PS5 but I don't have a PC to do that or computer but I'm still keeping the Logitech pro x 2 wireless headphones for PS5 and my main driver the Maxwell are too heavy and bulky so do you think i made the right decision keeping the Logitech pro x 2 wireless headphones over the audeze Maxwell what's your opinion you have alot of knowledge on these headphones also I ordered the turtle beach stealth pro wireless headphones they will be in next week thank you

Quick question: is there any way to turn on windows loudness equalisation while this headphone is connected through the USB adapter? For me it’s saying that the adapter is its own device in windows, so I can’t access the enhancement tab. Loudness optimisation is very important to me, so is there any way to fix this?

If your head is bigger I will recommend not to go with this one. Mine headband broke in 3 months of usage as I have a big head.

Yeah it's a somewhat shoddy build, but mine's still going strong without any damage.

Tough one. BlackShark V2 right now because it's on sale and the software is really good and actually works. If you see these at full price, the BlackShark V2 ($100) isn't worth it, so I'd get the HS65 instead.

Cloud II or Alpha imo. For better comfort C2, for overall better sound (but less volume) Alpha.

Nova 3 but personally I wouldn't limit myself to those two. I think the Cloud II and Cloud III are better than both.
Any idea of the software has been fixed, also will the mic work on desktop if lets say the usb thing breaks, and I plug it in without it?
