- In this video I break down why I use cotton Terry towels when polishing aluminum. Now understand I am not saying that microfiber towels are wrong. Because they aren't wrong. They just aren't my preferred method for polishing aluminum. I understand it is hard to see the difference in the video but try it out for yourself. You might just see what I see. Are there certain grades of terry towels that are better than others? I bought some from Home Depot yesterday and I felt like I was adding haze to wheels after polishing when I was using them.
Hey Evan great video, I just picked some of that stuff up. Question- do you keep reusing those cotton terry pads or throw away after? Also- wtf are you buying up all the INOX grinders??!! I can’t find one anywhere lol
You can reuse the pads multiple time. Those INOX are a huge hit!
I don't want to assume but is cotton preferred over micro fiber for chrome also?

Evan, I was curious if you've ever used a ceramic coating on polished aluminum? I think it's like MC-160? Or something like that? Ever tried it? I know you sell the alumicoat product but I don't know that it's ceramic. Just curious. I'm considering trying the ceramic.

What's your opinion on Flitz and what is it exactly?
I have been polishing for over 30+ years. I have used Flitz before. It is expensive to use. I mainly do brass and copper. But from time to time I do aluminum and stainless steel. It gives the metal a dark shine. I use it before I clear coat anything as a finishing polish before paint or powder coat and a terrycloth towel. What I found works better is 5 star by Zep. Both are a paste/cream micro polish. Evans liquid polish should also work the same. Zep For me is a personal preference.
If you are going for that show quality finish try his finer polishing bars and pads. I hear that they are great. Just remember. Don't go all caveman with the cut. What ever you put in you have to take out. Also remember. Perfection is your own worst enemy. Take your time. If you have any extra time send it to Evan. He's always short on time. He could use it. That's all from the monkey cage.
