I can't believe NO ONE had called me out on this yet but my initial crotch measurement was wrong...the calculation is correct but I must've mistaken my own handwriting for something else because it should be 1 1/3 inches, not 2 1/8! Oops!
I was just sitting there doing my math like, "somethings does not add up here" haha. Thank you for the clarification and wonderful tutorial to help us all express our love for creating . Cant wait to use these blocks to make some great summer clothes :)
I was going to comment the measurement doesn't add up as I'm using this method right now and I'm happy you addressed it Cause that got me spinning Thanks for the comment I can continue making thales battern now hopefully it works
Hahaha I even grabbed my 7th grader to help me figure out what I was doing wrong hahahah I couldn’t figure this out. Thanks for correcting! So helpful you are!
Thank you for saying something I was racking my brain trying to figure out the calculation I was wondering what I was doing wrong with your math 😂 I was thinking it had something to do with you adding seam allowance or something like that.
It's so interesting to see different methods to achieve the same goal! Even though I use the metric system in my pattern videos, it's so interesting to see you construct patterns :))
Thank you for another great video! I love and appreciate how generous and free-giving you are in sharing your knowledge with others. You've accomplished so much for being so young! Good work! 🙌🏼
I wish you could hear my voice how excited I am about this. I've been searching all week for a simple pants tutorial. 😃 ( I ain't good at math) thank you so very much Natalia.
I just recently found your channel from doing some research on starting a brand since I am working on making my own. I was curious how you do research into the fabric companies that you use to ensure the fabrics are sustainable/deadstock. Where I live we have a salvage store that sells fabric but I want my brand to be sustainable, and wasn’t sure how to make sure that the fabrics I use are
Thank you so much for sharing!! I know how to alter patterns a little bit, the only part where I get stuck and often make mistakes is the closures. When and where do I put zippers or buttons. Especially with fitted blouses where you can’t really see the closures. I can’t seem to find any videos on this
Hi, is this pattern include a seam allowance? Are we going to take seam allowance from both front and back patterns to make it equal in sideseam and inseam?
Lol....we only spent like 2 weeks on developing our own blocks and slopers..... in 4 years of college 😂. I just buy my blocks😂😎, then design from there. But I guess it's good to understand the basics of Pattern making 🤔. I would NEVER do it again though🤣. Lol Do you have experience in CAD and drafting Patterns on the computer?
I have a few suggestions, can you make this video over again and use a black sharpie to draw your lines so we can see them better. Also cut out the pattern and show it to us so we can see what it looks like, the front and the back.
Hey, Natalia!!! Can you show us how you sketch your figures/ideas? You don't have to show anything new. I just thought it'd be cool to see how you sketch.
So im trying to make the pants pattern and the crotch measurement wasn't adding up. I recalculated yours to make sure i did it right and i didnt get 2 1/8 :( idk what im doing wrong. followed all the steps
Can u redo this video. Cause u did the back pattern side ways and couldn’t see the WHOLE pattern..I am new and that was a little confusing. Thanks please do it easier please.
I don't understand how she found the point of the waist to connect to the hip. From where she mesures in not clear she just puts a point somewhere off screen 🤷

Also would love to see draping videos!! My school stopped offering them so I’m trying to learn on own 😭😭
@Angie - Look up Nick Verreos, he is very good at draping.
Hi, is this pattern include a seam allowance?
Are we going to take seam allowance from both front and back patterns to make it equal in sideseam and inseam?
How do you store all the patterns you have made? Do you keep all of your patterns? Like even the ones from your earliest collections?
ngl that wall of sewing things behind u just screams “professional” ahaha
- honeypot films
Natalia, I love your videos! Thank you for providing so much information! Are you thinking about making men's clothes in the future?
I’d love to but I’m not formally trained in it! The male and female bodies are totally different so I would have to learn it first :)
can you please teach us how to make blazer and trench coat patterns
Can you redo this video with the corrections as well as a final design and show different ways to stylize it?
Can u plz make a tutorial on pattern making of waist band of the pants And process of sewing the waist band.
So helpful. Thank you for this video
Pls advice dartamipulation , bustier top pattern making
Because we all have butts and that is that ... 😅 you should teach pattern making, your instructions are very clear and easy 👍
That "we all have butts" comment tho HAHAHAH
Def would love to see you adjust the patterns you show and also where’d you get the hooks for your peg board to hang your supplies?
I love how transparent you are in general. How is there a final result section with no final result though? It seems misleading

I folded my dart like that but when i opened it back out, it was just a straight line … for some reason it didnt make like a triangle

Hi I'm keerthi can you please tell me
Until which grade shud we study to fashion designing course.
Please reply to me
What are the measurements?
This is made to your own measurements, so you’d have to measure yourself to figure it out. The example I made is to my own measurements.
Hi
🤩🤩🤩
Can u redo this video. Cause u did the back pattern side ways and couldn’t see the WHOLE pattern..I am new and that was a little confusing. Thanks please do it easier please.
❤️❤️
I was the first like ❤️
Sorry to inform you but the crotch measurement doesn't add up to 2 1/3 either. Check it again.

I enjoyed the video but I wish you could slow down a bit. You went too fast for me.
