Just wanted to say that you are a big inspiration. I am 12 and my grandma bought me a brother sewing machine last august before she died. Since then I have made 5 dresses, 2 blankets, a t shirt. I also hosted a charity sale at my school. I made 50 scrunchies and 20 masks. This video had helped a lot. I was just wandering if you could do a video on how you design a dress then make it. Thanks☺️🙃
Im also 12 and i got a sewing machine for Christmas! I just really dont know where to start on the sewing part. Can we be friends??i dont have any friends who share the same future goal as me
Hi sweetie. I'm a 52yr old veteran who want to learn more about sewing. Your videos are very informative. Would love to learn more from you. Keep up the good work.
It’s good to change your sewing needles out every six hours because they become dull if you’re doing every day sewing. Which is also one of the reasons they break overtime, randomly. As for heavy duty and Jersey needles a lot of times heavy duty Jean needles are sharper and they have a bigger eye and needle point so they will poke holes in lighter materials such as silk and knit fabrics.
Great basic sewing tips! I remember when I first learned how to clip along a curve, I was so amazed by how it made such a difference in making the curve more flat
I cant even express how excited I am for this i was really looking for ways how I can learn how to stich and improvise on my clothing brand and universe really helped me I know for a fact that this video will be really helpful, thankyou so so much🥺❤️
I have no interest in sewing nor making cloths whatsoever, but I binged watched all your videos untill last week and that's weird for me.. I truly like your personality and your strong will, i wanna see you grow and witness that success cause I know it's inevitable.. you won't see me comment slot cause I don't, but am here and you got my support. Love from Egypt
Thank you so much! I'm doing a distance learning FD course all thanks to COVID but I get extremely confused because I'm more of a hands on learner. This helped me a lot! Thank you ✨
I actually took a little course on fabric a couple years ago. Woven fabric looks like this under a microscope #. It is straight threads going in different directions, so the needle needs to be sharp to pierce the space in-between the threads. Knit fabric is looped together so there isn't an easy spot for the needle to get through. Stretch needles are rounded to help it find a spot to get through the fabric. If you use a normal needle in knit fabric it could pull your fabric down into the bobbin case because it gets caught on a thread instead of going through. Or it will actually cut the threads and if you have to seam rip it leaves behind huge holes and your fabric potentially unravels. Always use the right needle for what you are working with!!
Omg this is what I've been looking for You're so kind for doing this and being so transparent and willing to show how you make everything I'm positive I'll buy something
I have always been creative, I absolutely love crafting & designing since the very beginning. My mom owns a boutique & I use to cling to her & helped while she sewed her projects. But I couldn’t get any kind of hands-on training. I literally get so excited when I see any kind of sewing/ designing videos cuz I wanna do something like that too. However, I’m an international student pursuing PSYC now cuz fashion school was too expensive & with too much on my hand rn, I just don’t know how to start learning what I’ve always wanted. Literally breaks my heart. :(

how do you control the foot pedal to go so slow when your doing back stitching , im always having a hard time going slow enough for a couple of stitches, im wondering if the plastic grey foot pedal and i need to get a different one. tips would be appreciated.
My machine has a speed control, but with a regular machine, it just takes a lot of practice to understand the amount of pressure you need to put on the pedal!
