There are some obvious signs of a healthy fraternity, one that will move you forward in life, and a bad frat, one that wants to meet a quota, or a gpa, or just wants to bring you in for the wrong reasons
Clark Cunningham, three time rush chair, has some pointers on what you should and shouldn't be okay with
Don't look like a fool and make sure you know how to rush confidently

This is really great advice I get asked a lot of questions from my younger brother's friends about getting into Greek life, I'll probably just refer them to this video.
Fraternity rush 101: it's called a house or a fraternity. Not a frat.
Maybe at your school...smh
You wouldn’t call your country a cunt would you
I didn’t even know enough about fraternities to ask most of the bad questions.
If they give out 40 bids and only initiate 25, that means they are going for quality guys and cut the fat. You should want to be there.
i'm so lost what are they bidding on.
Yeah no. A good frat chose their buds carefully and would do everything they can to get them to initiation. If there’s a lot of cuts the frat did something wrong.
@@alfred.clement Im assuming that you already know this since it's two years old but commenting so future people read this. A bid is just an invitation. It's not related to the word bid used in gambling
“We don’t haze”
It really isn’t that hard to get a bid smh.
WE LOVE THE BIG DTD!
What if the frat is slightly below the average?
Biggest geed I've ever seen
He looks just fine.
bro is literally a dtd are you dumb lmao
also wild fact: as someone who got three bids and rejected all of them at a major Greek-life school (KA, PKA, DTD), the only people who gaf about or use “geed” are the daddy’s money fools who never pull and have no personality outside of being in a frat.
get your money up not your funny up
Rah Delts
Bruh what? How do you even check the GPA of a frat lmao
Brandon Whiting every brothers GPA is averaged together and given out to IFC to share publicly.
Lol this man def doesnt pull
Nathan T I think the mis conception is that this is okay, unknowingly dealing with "ancient spirits" and free masonary. Yes there are christians involved. ..... because some 1, has convinced them its okay. Jesus refers to this as the blind leading the blind. I just so happen to be a man. and seeing so many men fall into the same mind state of followers in local communites, drugs. robbing. etc just because some 1 convinced them it is okay. now what you're doing is not illegal. in the eyes of the law. but it is immoral in terms of the house of the "" Lord. getting ppl. to join a secret society is not soul winning "" for the Lord. Jesus. the deciever always. .... makes ppl, think something is okay when its not. aka Lucifer. ancient wisdom and free masonary linages are " Satanic. the same way he has convinced ppl same sex marriage is okay. and lots of other things. 1 reason the world is falling apart. ....
@@Slayton701 Your church touches little boys
Nice drop of pointless f-bomb, twice.
if your watching this, you did not gunna get a bid from anywhere hahaha
And you did not gunna graduate college
Theres no such thing as a healthy frat.
All frats are bad. Save whatever limited integrity you have and stay independent.
I agree with you 1000%! I would just like to add that fraternities started out as a positive thing. However, most fraternities have become some of the most racist, exclusionary, elitist, and non-diverse organizations around.
@Robby Dey A couple of things. 1. Thanks for your 2 cents. Everything you said is a matter of opinion, and I don't give a fuck about yours. 2. You were very wrong to assume I was never a member of a fraternity. Do me and yourself a favor, don't ever speak to me again!
The impression I’ve received over the years is that fraternities and sororities are mostly for individuals who aren’t self confident and have trouble making friends, so they rely on an organization to find and make friends for them. As a group they are assertive and act confident, but as individuals on their own they are often rather shy and awkward. But like all generalizations, there are plenty of counterexamples, and your observations might be quite different than mine.
