I dont usually defend frats or any greek life, but i will say, in defense of the ratio, one frat guy explained to me that if they let in a bunch of guys they dont know, then they have a bigger chance of those people they dont know sexually assalting someone. And if someone gets sexually assalted at their party, that frat will get a rap for being creepy. I do think they partly just want a lot of girls there, but i think this is also part of the reason they dont just let any guys in

In college, I always got in frat parties. My roommate knew the brothers, I couldn't tell you where they were from. Back then, you had to have your name on a list under the brother that invited you or you weren't getting in. Parties were never a sausage fest.
