Jordan is a gem. We visited 2 years ago just before the pandemic and we were amazed. We found everyone to be very nice, polite, not pushy at all. Our only issue with it is we stayed only a week. We should have stayed longer. :) Petra, Wadi Rum, the dead sea, Aqaba, Amman, ranged from "nice" to "amazing and gorgeous". We had diner at Hashim as you did, recommended by our hotel staff. We were expecting to pay a lot more for the dinner, but we paid roughly the same amount you did. We loved the place.
I came to Jordan. Jordan is a beautiful country. The people there are very kind and the country is very safe. I hope to visit it again. I spent a week there. It was the most beautiful days of my life.
Yeh we loved it here! We came to Jordan mainly thinking about Petra and wadi rum and had not really looked into Amman that much so it was a great surprise
Aqaba, Wadi Rum are spectacular when you get to those places. Wadi rum in particular, the sunrise and sunset is unreal. Very cool video, the up and downs in Amman are so true. Alot of stairs in heat, H2O is a must.
I’m Jordanian so maybe I’ll be biased but Jordan should be on your bucket list of destinations to visit in your lifetime. And us Jordanians love to welcome people from all around the globe so we can get a chance to introduce our amazing country 😄

I am living in Amman, Jordan since 2000, with my husband Jordanian and one son. What I like in Jordan, Firstly, peaceful, quiet, and safe. Secondly, delicious typical meals, sweets like baklava and kunafa, fresh fruits, and vegetables.Thirdly, people, customs, and traditions. The housing is unique and simple because houses are located on the mountain as it is, from the top view and down view, so higher stairways are built-up to reach the houses. Watch this video of Amman the capital city of Jordan, you will see everything. See you in Jordan, Good Luck...

Hey Chris. I’m so happy for you that finally you visited my country I haven’t been there for 10 years. You made me feel homesick. By the way on the top of the Roman theater in Amman the little tiny house to the left is my father house. Hope you and carol having a good stay and enjoy every single minute.
Thanks! I really enjoyed watching this video. I will check out your other ones as well. I got a chance to spend 2 days in Jordan a few years back, went out to Jerash where I was shocked at all the old sites. Good stuff guys!
Amman, in Jordan , was once called Philadelphia by the Greeks, who rebuilt it as one of the cities of the Decapolis. Before that it was called Rabbath Ammon when it was the capital of the Ammononites.
I love all your travel videos and am really enjoying your Egypt and Jordan videos - both places I really want to see! I’d love to see Italy videos, especially the Cinque Terre! It’s five villages connected by the most gorgeous hiking trail, at least that’s what I’ve read. I want to go there so much! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures! x
I’m going to Jordan in a few days. Can’t wait to try all those delicious kinds of food! I’m sure I’m gonna love the desserts, and my Brazilian taste must be like Carol’s. Great video guys! 🙌🏼👊🏼👏🏼
I advise you to go to the town of Umm Qais, which is affiliated with Irbid Governorate. This town is all beautiful ancient Roman ruins. There is a popular hotel that you can stay in if you wish. This area is adjacent to Lake Tiberias. It is very beautiful, and also its borders are with steadfast Palestine. I advise it to be your destination for tourism in this region. You will not get bored of it.
Wow! Most of the buildings in a sandy colour on hillsides make for very interesting scenery and architecture. Chris, loved it when Carol replied: "Not beanie, cheesy" with that beautiful smile of hers.
Oh the views from the top of those Roman Oman steps!!! When you do get to Italy to see the Collisium do it with a private tour guide. You learn SO much more than just walking alone or a group “ flag” guided tour. Rome is phenomenal

Hi. Can I just say. When we stay anywhere abroad cos u need so much water we buy like a five gallon bottle of water and have a two.litre bottle to transfer some water in to it and put it in the freezer to freeze to take out with u the next day. It slowly will defrost during the whole day. Saves alot of money as u don't need to keep buying drinks. Or buy a bottle a two litre bottle of ice tea place in the freezer of where u staying and take it out the next day with u. So refreshing. And saves u money
I was just slobbering watching all that great food!!!! I'm in love with Mediterranean food. The dessert that Carol preferred is call baklava, a favorite middle eastern delicacy. Most medi foods are pretty healthy. Don't worry about gaining weight. Enjoy and have a safe time.
What a great jaunt to Amman AKA Philadelphia you two took! FWIW, Philadelphia means ' brotherly love'! Great seeing those ruins around the citadel with the museum showing off its astonishly ancient history. Just think it ALREADY was for a few thousand years when the Pharaohs built their pyramids! Oh, if you like Roman (and pre-Roman) ruins, there's quite a few to be found in Portugal and Spain- including the Teatro Romano in Lisbon! Portugal gets its name from the city of Oporto which the Romans named Portus Cale meaning 'port of Cale'- and it seems as though it might have been a Phoenician settlement ! Oh, and you two really lucked out on the dinners AND the desserts! YUM! Looking forward to your seeing other parts of Jordan (including the fabled Petra which is far more interesting than just being an 'Indiana Jones and the Lost Crusaders' backdrop)! Thanks for another fantastic tour and look forward to more!
32:00 regarding Kunafah, you can get it as sweet as you like because they give you Sugar Syrup (Kater) option, it's added based on your request. Maybe they thought you are on a diet, next time ask for it.

The baklava is soaked in honey and is VERY sweet so Carol will like but it has nuts. Great with Arabic coffee. So glad to see u in Jordan.Looking forward to seeing it.Amman is busy but so much cleaner and less dusty and chaotic than Cairo and Giza.Market looked great! I often make my own hummus. So easy.Chickpeas, tahini, salt, pepper, fresh lemon juice, good EVOO to taste and blend.Serve with the best EVOO you can.Quality counts.I dip in veggies and use less pita.Cucumbers! I dip veggie kebabs in it.I make a sandwich with it on whole wheat toast with lettuce and tomato and some sweet onion slices.Ilike lots of freshly cracked black pepper on it.I slather it on grilled corn....
Haha yeah we weren’t really worried about the police dude but it was just annoying to have to spend around an hour extra going through that when we arrived at around 1 a.m in the morning
