It's overrated trust me..Been to Jordan so many times and I'd rather go and Relax at Dead Sea..or Cross the Border into Israel ( Ha'aretz) and visit Jerusalem Via Dolorosa,Temple Mount and Kotel the Wall..Jordan will let you go and comeback for 10 JOD keep a blind eye fee plus JET coaches for another 10JOD..Get a Minibus from Allenby terminal to Jerusalem 40 mins journey..Miles better than Jordan and Camel Urine stinking Petra

It's really hard to imagine how people built such a great building back then,
It is not easy to build the stone road just to get there,
It's a pity that you can't go in that big temple, but you climb up and walk over there,
let us see the mausoleum above, and the ancient theater from the top, it is really a worthwhile trip! 👍😃👏

Another wonderful video! I visited Petra in 1980 (and spent a night in one of the caves). An awesome experience! There were far fewer tourists and no restaurants at the site - not surprisingly.. You really showed us a lot of the area. Much appreciated! Looking forward to your video of Oman (where I used to live)... Safe travels!

Just stunningly impressive and beautiful.I have to say I really loved these ruins in Jordan as compared to a lot u visited in Egypt.I know they are different but I just loved the unique way the tombs were carved into the rock in Jordan. It wld be too much walking for me now but I loved seeing it through your walks and through your eyes! On to Oman.Too bad about Israel as ur so close but def need to be safe.

I visited Petra with a tour group in March. Our tour guide dropped us off at our hotel while he went to Aqaba to pick up members who were joining our group from Egypt. I was on my own for the evening and learned about the "Petra At Night" tour from the hotel clerk. I immediately bought a ticket for that tour and had the most incredible evening ever! The Siq path had candles in bags to show the way and when we got to the Treasury, there was a half hour program of three musicians playing ancient instruments while a light show lit up the Treasure. Unforgettable! Seeing it the next day in the daylight was amazing and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history. I didn't walk to the monastery, however, since we had a time limit to be back at the entrance to leave for the next part of our trip - Israel. We visited Israel before Passover/Ramadan so did not see or experience any conflict during our time there. That was an epic tour! I recommend going at time when there are no religious holidays or festivals scheduled, however.

When we talk about something carved into the rock, I recommend you to see Ellora and Ajanta caves. Both sites are out of this world. Abu simbel with more than 3000-year-old history, it has more complex internal room. Without the surrounded beautiful entrance like Petra, it is still breathtaking level. Thanks for sharing a lovely video.

Hey Carol and Chris, Petra is an amazing city, with all of it carved into the hills of sand stones. I find it to be one of the most fascinating ancient cities in the world, just like the valley of the kings. I am glad you have gone to this area to visit, as I have always been fascinated about these old cities. These places you go are in biblical times, this makes me excited about these videos. The monastery is a really big carving!! No crosses because it is a Muslin nation and Christianity is frowned upon, this is why you see no crosses in this Christian sector. That was some crazy walking to go through Petra, and it is sad that tourists get scammed, I had cheats and liars, plus find it sad they make it a bad experience that you remember on ones vacation. Better to watch it through the both of you, then actually visit myself. Even it being a wonder of the world and loving the desert, at my age and such bad health, it would be to much. In my youth I would of spent days walking through every part of Petra. Thanks for the amazingly great video, to bad they do not let you do drones due to regional wars. Be safe on these trips. Later old friends✌🏻🙏🏻🌴🐪🌴😎

Bayada Island is one of the most important islands in Jeddah for swimming lovers
Abha, which is called the city of fog, and it is now an opportunity to see the flowers of the famous jacaranda trees in Abha
It is a tourist city in the summer for the residents of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, and its most famous landmarks are the Al-Raqidi Museum and the Al-Soudah Mountains, and near it is the city of Rijal Alma.
Among the most famous landmarks of Rijal Alma are: Al-Qatt Al-Asiri Museum, Rijal Alma’ Village, the Honey Hut, and Haswa Village, which is one of the most beautiful villages in Rijal Almaa. Al-Dahna Waterfall in Tanumah City

I knew OF Petra -- I've seen pictures of the first place you went for years -- but I had NO idea it was altogether so HUGE! Thanks a lot for doing the walking! 😎
