Is Israel As Bad As They Say? I Went To Find Out (

  • What would you do if you knew that missiles would be flying at your city everyday? That's the reality that both Israelis and Palestinians face in late 2023, in the latest phase of their never-ending conflict. Most people are wise enough not to fly to a country during an active war, but sadly that wasn't me. Like the rest of the world, I was deeply interested in the events happening in the Holy Land, and I wanted to go there myself to better understand the situation.
It's the most polarizing conflict on earth: many people absolutely hate one of the two sides and cheer on the other. I only had one agenda while filming in Israel and the Palestinian territories: to understand the people. To do that, my plan was to travel everywhere, from the skyscrapers of Tel Aviv, to the streets of Ramallah, and finally to the edge of Gaza.
This was going to be one hell of an adventure. I ask that you try to do just one thing as we travel along: keep an open mind.

i wanna say this is existential journalism, deliverance of the being there , of the perspective of how does it feel to be there, which to me is so important in the attempt of understanding any phenomenon. this is usually where we fail, as humans, we succumb to our pre-judgments enabling them to take over as our means of perception closing ourselves from any real encounter whith any other. this video is an amazing journey of how to avoid that and enable the acute problems to float up as they are, the testimony of the soliders about their experience in gaza is starteling showing their agony and the palestinians in the most humane way possible. thank you very much

One sided as ever. Have you ever contemplated why Palestinians want you dead? Have you ever contemplated why Israel even exists? Ashkenazi converts to Judaism created a homeland for the most hated and greedy people on the planet because they have out stayed their welcome in almost every country they have lived in. The Ashkenazi have almost zero DNA links to the land that they welcome all Jews "back to". The real tragedy is that real Jews, religious ones, have also had to endure the labels of greedy, grasping parasites. Unsurprisingly these real Jews are largely opposed to Zionism. Before Zionism Jews, Muslims and Christians lived peacefully together in Palestine for centuries but when your neighbour steals your land and your water and puts you in a concentration camp something has to give.

Israel sterilized Ethiopian Jews without their knowledge or consent as recently as 2013. Rights in Israel are assigned based on your nationality, not your citizenship, so if your nationality isn't Jewish you are not equal. Israel is an ethnocracy--don't be fooled just by seeing diverse people on the street.

As long as people are able to live in their own country (Israel) in peace, the Israeli people are the best neighbors there are. Pity there are those that try to displace and condemn them because of their animosity and unwillingness to come to a compromise. The people fighting in combat would rather sit in comfort with their respective families enjoying the land they worked so hard to build, but instead, they are the reluctant heroes who have to fight for everything they possess when all they really wish and aspire to is to live in the land of their forefathers in peace.

It's very simple, very weapenized army, supported by the whole world, against the land owners, Palestinian people, some of them are trying to repels the occupation, so the world called them "terror!sts"
If you compare Palestinian kids VS Israeli kids, you will see what I'm talking about, don't bother with the news, just look at kids from both sides, you will find the truth in their eyes

Amazingly made video. Better than most funded mainstream shows. Just real life in Israel from the perspective of a visitor with random interactions with people and situations. This is real.
Only things I can say as an Israeli is that Israeli people are generally ruder (just as our style nothing on purpose) than how it appears in this video, but they are at the same time as friendly as it appears in this video. Also day to day life appears calm in this video and quiet, maybe it is the war (I don't live there the last few years) but even in regular times, things are much busier and hectic.

What you did with this trip so soon after Oct 7 is not only brave but I'd even go so far as to say pretty reckless. The area you are walking around in is heavily targeted by rockets and as you said, 30 seconds is not long.

@@deniseg-hill1730 as malcom X said it, there are two types of slaves the old and the new, i think you heard this before, my point is, while those few people act goody goody with the invaders, their brethern in the west bank and the gaza strip face undescribable horrors, from being shot for no reason, illegal settlers in the west bank, settler voilence, constant surveilance in both gaza and the west bank, control of movement, the blockades in gaza, those people are simply sellouts who decided to forget everything that happened and is happening to their literal cousins in exchange for maybe a good paying job and being treated like human, things the others are not so lucky to have, the matter of the fact is, those people are simply faces to cover up what is happening so every time israel is called out it can use them as a card while throwing them away when needed like the thousands of palestinians who got laid off after october 7, it is easy for you to say this as you and other jews came to this place promised homes and a good life, all at the palestinian expense, so, is it all really worth it?
