    Part 1: • John Salley Explains W...
    --------
In this clip, John Salley reacts to Daniel Green, the man convicted of killing Michael Jordan's father, saying that he would be dead if Jordan wanted him killed. John disagreed, saying it's a "good cop-out." He went on to speak about his coach talking him out of going after his friends killer and not wanting to continue the cycle of murder. To hear more, including John's reaction to Daniel Green being put in cell #23, hit the above clip.

If a man tells their coach on the phone that they’re going to NY to kill someone, that means they never wanted to kill the man to begin with. He was hoping he would be stopped. Someone who doesn’t want to be stopped is going to say they have family issues, or some other matter that they have to attend. A lot of us want to be subconsciously stopped.

You people sound a whole lot like you're speaking from a place of ignorance. There is exactly ZERO research to support the argument that if people really want to kill themselves/others, that they don't speak on it. Zero evidence. A bunch of people parrotting what they heard a bunch of other people say, doesn't constitute it as a fact.

    • @DanGoodman-n4b
      @DanGoodman-n4b Месяц назад

Yes. Three can keep a secret if two are dead, but rolling solo means no one else can spill what happened.
Gambling most likely. And probably in so deep it would have drained MJ too.
So MJ wouldn’t have just had to deal with the three, but also the entire gambling crew.
If he had dug deep enough to find out who sent the three, likely that would have led to more people behind the hit. Those 3 were just relatively low level tools, though they were doubtless good at what they did, or it would have been someone else. The person or people who sent the 3 probably wasn’t even the top of the chain.
The killers were an iceberg. Most of it invisible but you know it is there.
Effectively, MJ had to accept the fact that his father had dug his own grave.
YMMV but that is how I see the pieces fitting together.
In my youth I was in a fast lane, not gambling. I always made sure I kept my money straight. When it was time for me to step into my career, I changed over with no hard feelings.
A common story at party universities.
Doesn’t matter, the details. The issue is the same regardless of the nature of the game.
Don’t mishandle your business, you will have friends, even ones you don’t know, but step on someone else’s end, you mark yourself.
MJs dad must have been into somebody pretty deep to earn a trio of hitters.
MJ would have signed his own death warrant if he had gone to war.
Just my take, but do you have one that sounds more likely?
Keeping your business arrangements correct was one of the first things my father taught me, before I was into anything vaguely nefarious.
He just knew how to form mutually beneficial alliances & other things he taught me. And he wasn’t into anything nefarious - just some big equipment sales. But the principles were the same.
Don’t risk what isn’t yours to risk.
That is the real Dale Carnegie course. Stay in your lane but run hard and hold your position.
I had & have had a couple of vices but chasing my losses was never one of them. Chasing losses =>. degenerate gambler.
Only did one big LV weekend, in my 20s.
Kept my playing money separate from my living money. Didn’t get sloshed & when the fun $ ran out, I changed horses.
LV women collect a lot but will con you anyway if you leave an opportunity.
Stay alert even when you are relaxing. And choose your companionship wisely.

This was actually one of the dumbest topics I have seen on VLAD TV. MJ was a killer on the basketball court. Not in real life. His brother, who was in the military, had to think in terms of kill or be killed during his military career. His brother James, would have more of that real killer or revenge instinct than Michael. But the testament of the character of both men did not allow them to go into the evil gutter of revenge. Even thinking of these men in those terms is reprehensible. But I understand its all about the views.

Finding out out someone you know and loved was killed hurts, but if they would've wanted you to kill that person and go to jail and destroy your life and hurt those around you then that person never loved you or cared about you. Mike may have said that in the moment even though it's pretty obvious that Jayson Williams was talking out of his ass to write that book or whatever. But he instead chose to live out his father's dream and play baseball knowing that was what his father wanted. And to honor him even further he would return to the NBA and win it all on Father's Day for his dad. Would you rather kill those guys and more than likely go to jail and destroy and hurt those around you even more or would you rather live out your father's dream and eventually honor him in the greatest way you know how. Mike had a choice and as far as I myself am concerned and any sane person is concerned he made the right decision.

You have nothing but time to think about your mistakes and everything you missed out on in life while you wait and wait to die not having done anything with your life. Everybody in your life move on and forget you.

Which is false why 2 things 1 because MJ had hell of money to pay off his debts himself. 2 if they was going to kill someone it would have not been done so sloppy they go and upload a video showing the ring that they took that MJ gave his dad and jewelry which is stupid.

@@MauricioKing23 No its not false I was a young teenager when these things happened and that is what was questioned in the news. And yes MJ was about to be suspended for a year because they knew guys were shaving points and refs were in on it and they couldn't prove if MJ was part of it. Also many players came foward about MJ oweing multiple book makers and street gamblers. Thats where a couple reporters came up with the idea of his father was targeted. All these things happened i grew up watching it and seen all the bs that happened especially when Jordan left the NBA in his prime after winning 3 championships in row and had a completely unstoppable team. And during The last Dance came out alot of players came foward on his gambling. That he gambled on everything. Simple things like whos luggage would come down first at the Airport. And I do remember a reporter writing a piece about if Jordan's dad was killed over his debts. Wasn't a big thing but it was swept away quick because they were about to start a series with Seattle.
