cool idea. I can't tell the Mission Impossible movies apart, can't remember which is which. The first one is okay. It seems like every one is the same plot. Tom Cruise, betrayed by his own agency, battles all odds to come away with the victory just after the cool music starts.
Face/Off is a sci-fi movie, just like Edge of tomorrow. So Joe could swallow the premise that aliens invaded earth and the only way to stop them is through time displacement, but not facial reconstruction. Alright then.
But they’re very different types of films. FaceOff is a character movie, playing with tropes of good guys and villains. It’s meant to be subversive. Edge of Tomorrow is plot driven, always keeping you interested in what’s happening in the story right now.
@@LloydWaldo ...and a character movie can't exist if you can't recognize the characters. The technology allowing it IS THE PREMISE. "This is like reality, except face switches can happen." Why? BECAUSE AWESOME. You don't like it, go somewhere else.

When Tom Cruise was young he had what us old people called snaggle tooth. He had a major tooth pulled to make room and it caused a "midline shift". His front teeth moved to the side. He got braces to get his teeth back in front and center. I used to have a girlfriend that was a very observant dental assistant.
I read the book, honestly the biggest difference is main character’s name, and there was an entire chapter dedicated to the ridiculous ways he committed suicide trying to get out of the loop.

8:09 I think Tom Cruise's best ever role was the villainous Vincent in the movie Collateral from 2004, but I think his best movie will be Mission Impossible Fallout. From an overall movie standpoint, I didn't think Rogue Nation could be topped but Fallout did just that
They should give him an Oscar. Honorary or some shit like that. the guy is a fucking legend. 56 years old, and the guy does all his stunts, flying helicopters, jumping off buildings, riding a motorcycle like a maniac, parachuting, and so on. LEGEND.

I would like to see a crossover of MI and 007. Might be interesting with the right crew of the studios besides of Cruise and Craig.
cool idea. I can't tell the Mission Impossible movies apart, can't remember which is which. The first one is okay. It seems like every one is the same plot. Tom Cruise, betrayed by his own agency, battles all odds to come away with the victory just after the cool music starts.
Everything they talked about is connected to John Woo. From Face Off to Mission Impossible 3. True legendary action director.
You might as well say all movies are sci-fi then.
Tom is OT Level 7 crazy, but yeah Homies a good actor, saw him at a club in NYC one nite with Nicole Kidman, and he was in character for the Vampire movie. Dude had a glass of wine and was intense. he wasnt talking and no one was talking to him . Hes the man
When Tom Cruise was young he had what us old people called snaggle tooth. He had a major tooth pulled to make room and it caused a "midline shift". His front teeth moved to the side. He got braces to get his teeth back in front and center. I used to have a girlfriend that was a very observant dental assistant.
Summed up Cruise exactly. Mad as a hatter. Totally awesome. Jeffrey Tambor bit. Awesome. Exactly what you'd expect him to say.
Tom is nuttier than a fruit cake but kills it in stunts‼️...Face Off was awesome ‼️
Faceoff?? Really?! Smh
He was much better in Escape from LA.
You're think about Mel Gibson...
Face off blows. Search 'Jimmy Patrice Faceoff' to understand why
He was great in Back to the future.
I just realized the beyond iconic career Tom Cruise has enjoyed.

TJ McGregor shut up you've got no legs
lol
He learned to fly a helicopter for Fallout. He also flew the plane shots in American Made. Insane dude.
best tome movie - minority report
EDGE OF TOMORROW
Naw fam it’s vanilla sky.
The Firm.
Tome crooze
The Last Samurai if you are a real man you're gonna love it
I still respect the shit out of him for when he put the reasonably priced car on 2-wheels going round Gambon corner on Top Gear.
the edge of tommorrow movie is based off a manga. The book is actually better than the movie from what im told. The movie was still badass.
Kaleo Glory The book is never better than the movie lol
Comparing a book to a movie is like comparing porn to sex.
I read the book, honestly the biggest difference is main character’s name, and there was an entire chapter dedicated to the ridiculous ways he committed suicide trying to get out of the loop.
I genuinely don't think Tom Cruise has made a bad movie even his early 80s movies were good, the guy has a crazy filmography!
Smile, thanks for your love and support towards me 🌹
I like how the room goes silent when Face-off was called a good movie.
That stunt they did from jumping out the plane in the last movie was amazing how they filmed it. They showed how they did it as a bonus in the movie
Face off is Oscar worthy
92% on rt
🤦♂️
I'm with Brenda....face off is "pulp fiction" gold
He is awesome in Lions for Lambs too. Magnolia... Etc
Edge of tomorrow was epic....soooo underrated....easily top 3 sci fi movies of all time
The mission impossible movies were great. 4, 5 and 6 are really great
Damn, I didnt even realize how bad I hate on Tom Cruise because if Scientology. He is an amazing actor. The Katie Holmes story is what I think screwed up my image of Cruise.
Edge of Tomorrow is so good and it's titled Edge of Tomorrow when it's playing on FX.
Al filo del mañana
He'd already had his teeth fixed after ‘Legend,’ which came out around 85. He had total snuggle teeth before... anyway, he’s an awesome actor.
Oblivion is his second best movie behind Edge of Tomorrow. IMO
rob oblivion was boring and pointless
Loved Oblivion! Very underrated.
Watch more of his movies then
rob how old are you? 16?
Cruise has done an insane amount of REALLY good movies. EDGE OF TOMORROW was SIIIIIIIIIIIIICK.
Hope you guys get Tom Cruise on JRE..
Joy would be broke after that
“Magnolia” and “Born on the Fourth of July” are the 2 best movies with Tom Cruise.
MINORITY REPORT!!...Tom's best sci-fi movie..
You guys slept on John Travolta on "From Paris with Love" very underrated film.
“While we were so high, it was like we were in like a neighboring dimension watching reality through a dirty mirror.” Hahaaa!
Tom Cruise isn't in End of Days Lol
😄 probably the best final scene.
Looking forward to MI6 even though the trailer sucks . Cruise is one of the few leading men to still get excited about.
MI Fallout is next level great!
3:50 I became ur fan Joe. I don't care what Tom's religion or faith is coz that's his personal business, I just love the dude for his acting and super stunts that he does himself
I think his best performance was “Les Grossman” in tropic thunder.
Dude this is one of the funniest pod casts i think I've ever heard happen on the joecast. I mean they are all funny..But i laughed so damn hard at this one especially.. the team... the tripack...
Tom Cruise is amazing. Scientology is strange to me but so is every religion. All I care about is the effect his use of his talents has on me. (And half the world) Extraordinary.
Travolta can act and he does it very well.... i wish he still made big movies... Cruise speak for itself, he is great
They both make good movies
8:09 I think Tom Cruise's best ever role was the villainous Vincent in the movie Collateral from 2004, but I think his best movie will be Mission Impossible Fallout. From an overall movie standpoint, I didn't think Rogue Nation could be topped but Fallout did just that
Dude is the very definition of winning.
Topgun is never considered his greatest movie but that's my ALL-TIME favorite movie!
That acting class with face off story was fucking hilarious man!
They should give him an Oscar. Honorary or some shit like that. the guy is a fucking legend. 56 years old, and the guy does all his stunts, flying helicopters, jumping off buildings, riding a motorcycle like a maniac, parachuting, and so on. LEGEND.
