Tropic Thunder is definitley one of the greatest comedies of all time.

Les Grossman was by far Tom's best ever character purely because it took this guy we all knew as one of the best, serious actors of his generation and put him into a surreal comedy character and he utterly killed it. Of course he did.

Tropic thunder is one of those movies you don't expect much from, then you watch it and it's one of the best things you've ever experienced, we were all dying of laughter in the theater and for few days after 😂

Tropic Thunder one of the best comedy movie of all time and the cast is phenomenal, if Heath Ledger wasn't nominated back then RDJ would have an Oscar by now.

I think Tom Cruise, regardless of what you think about some of his personal choices, has become an American icon in the film industry. His sci-fi and action films are usually top notch.

Some of the movies might not be all that great but his performances are always worth watching them.... even that Mummy film he did.
Live/Die/Repeat or Edge of Tomorrow (whatever you prefer) is one of my absolute favorite films of all time.

all the characters played well. from the "We are FLAMING. DRAGON." to the punching guy, the veteran who is not all that badass as he thinks he is... just all around well written and played out characters.
RDJ’s performance as Iron Man was his best performance without a doubt, but his performance as Kirk Lazarus ranks up there with Iron Man.

This was a role that Tom went away from so much of his previous work to present a character to the audience that was Massively larger than life. Mr. Cruise nailed this role.

I feel like Tom is living ten lifetimes. He’s so dedicated to everything he does. It’s amazing to see. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves as an actor, he sort of exists in his own space. Love his energy and positivity about everything where as I can barely push myself to get out of bed.

The whole idea of a cult, whether it's scientology, islamic fundamentalism, or even marxist ideology, is that you're so on board that you would find doing whatever it takes in the name of that set of principals that you would even find murder justified, potentially. Folks are different, we're individuals. Being a part of a given group doesn't make someone a bad person, agreeing with/furthering bad principals and doing or abetting bad actions are what can make someone bad, and even then only part of them

Cruise is one of the best late night interviews. I read an article from one of these guys saying how grateful they are when he's on, because he always brings something new, and never mails it in. Pretty cool.

Cruise joyfully indulges in every facet of his craft. Creating characters is pure fun for him. He studies everything on the set, everything about movie making, everything about the subject of the film.

It's a shame we didn't get more comedy and more villain roles from Tom. This movie and Collateral are just outstanding work.
Conan made TC feel right at home, made him feel like he was on a space ship.
I feel like in a couple of years, old Tom is gonna do a gritty Breaking Bad type of show on Netflix or HBO, and is gonna be absolutely brilliant.

Never was a fan of Cruise but that character is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I was so embarrassed watching it that I had goosebumps
He did kill it as Les Grossman. I was really surprised. Same as I was when he played the bad guy in "Collateral". He did an amazing job on both.

SO GREAT - I remember watching & thinking who is this actor - also thinking & saying to who I was with "this guy is unbelievable so great" took me a while to recognize Tom Cruise & had to watch the credits to be sure - he should have won best supporting actor
