- My heart is absolutely shattered. I found out some horrible news today. After years of training, amazing memories, and special moments Meeko became one of the most fantastic ponies in the entire world. Everyone loved him and he was the most gentle, kind, fun soul. You could do anything with him and he would keep you safe. Less than a month ago Meeko went to his new home. We found him the perfect family. He wasn’t even listed for sale, things just worked out. His new family absolutely adored him and took excellent care of him. I received many happy updates, videos, and cute pictures. He was loved. Last night they had a horrible storm come through and found Meeko passed away in the field. I too would keep my horse out with tornado warnings, no one is at fault here this is just shit luck. The thought was that he was struck by lightning and suffered a cardiac event. I can’t imagine their sorrow, I really can’t. I am absolutely devastated myself. My pony is no longer on this earth. It’s no different than losing a horse right at the farm, he was my amazing, perfect pony. No one is at fault, but I’m just extremely sad. Fly high Meeko I love you so much and I know someday I’ll get to see and ride you once more for now run in those green grass fields wild and free. This video is a tribute to Meeko, and how amazing he was. He was LOVED and cherished by many and his memories will live on forever.

I used to raise Himalayan cats. In one litter I had a perfect seal point. I reluctantly sold the kitten. Less than a week later the buyer called to tell me the kitten died. I felt so bad, it had no signs of illness when I sold it. I suspected it ate something toxic but will never know. So sad, you still loved him and wished him a long healthy life with people who would love him.
This is a realy heartbreaking story. This was not only bad news for you, also for his new owners. He was such a beautiful nice pony. 😰😭

I understand this was over a year ago, but it still makes me cry. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about tornados… A pony at my riding school passed in the same way. I, crying with you. I’m so very sorry about Meeks. We lost our quarter horse mare, also named Meko, in 2003 and I’ll never forget her. She was so sweet too and helped me overcome some fears. Again, my heartfelt condolences to you and everyone who loved him. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Somewhere I have a poem tucked away. I cut it out of a magazine. It was about dogs, but would apply to horses as well. It said if you had a dog (horse) that you loved and that dog (horse) passed away, your dog (horse) would send you another to take his place. So don't be so sure you will never have another pony like this one. The next sale you attend, Meeko may have his replacement waiting for you.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. How fortunate you found each other, and he had such a good life. You gave that to him, and he returned your love many times over. I have a theory about animal souls. Wonderful tribute, I completely understand as I have had many horses over the years and it hurts when they pass. Prayers for you and the people who owed him. I enjoy watching your videos as I no longer have horses and I miss them. I'm 75 years old and have always loved horses. My first one was a pony when I was six years old. God created all things for his pleasure and he is even aware of when a lowly falls to the ground. I have heard so many accounts of people that have had near death experiences and they all mention interacting with animals on the other side/Heaven, horses included. We will al be reunited with our beloved pets again but in the interim, I know and feel your pain in losing your amazing pony. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful memories of him with us.

I went back & watched his videos & am saddened even more because of the condition he was in when you got him. You rescued him & gave him a wonderful life. His new owners didn't get a chance to make memories with him. I've shed tears for him & am so happy you found him & he was so loved. 😢

This is heartbreakin call heartbreaking, we had a horse I grew up learning how to ride, she was quite, gentle and so powerful. Amazingly my son learnt to ride on her too, I knew she would take good care with him as she did with me. She to was struck by lightning in her 30th year. Words can’t say how much we love her.
