@@iammrbeat I have had history teachers like that. I have also had history teachers that actually did try to indoctrinate their students to a particular point of view. I have also seen some schools pressured to teach certain subjects a certain way by state officials, school boards, and/or angry parents. I love history, but over the years I have DEFINITELY had to un-learn some of the lies I "learned".
When I was in elementary school in Ohio back in the 1990’s, schools were first starting to do standardized testing of their students. Teachers had to set aside a couple of days in the school year for all the students in the school to sit down and bubble-in multiple choice answers in a cheap booklet printed on thin, easily-torn paper. The teachers and the school were going to be graded on how well we students performed on this boring, menial test. Therefore, as I sat in the classroom waiting for the Social Studies portion of the test to be passed out, the teacher told us all, “Okay, class, on question 14 when it asks ‘Where did the Founding Fathers get the idea for the Constitution?’, the correct answer is ‘B: The Iroquois Confederacy.’ Yes, I know that isn’t actually the correct answer, and you all know that, too, but that’s the answer the state wants.” Yes, really, she actually said that. I remember that specifically because I thought it was incredibly strange. I mean, we had just recently learned in history class that the Founding Fathers drew inspiration from many sources when writing the Constitution. Why was the state government wanting us to say that only one of those inspirations mattered? Looking back on this today, as a full-grown adult, it seems clear to me that someone in either Ohio’s education department or the company that made these standardized tests had a political agenda and was trying to get all the schools to teach to that agenda.
If I had a nickel for every Vice President who committed treason and tried to create their own country I'd have 10 cents, which isn't a lot but it's still weird that it happened twice.

Whewww...y'all boys wrong for that. Biden has been rejected 2x for the Presidency in the past. The first time was for outright plagiarism. I'm not a fan of Pence or Biden, hell anybody in the last 30 years hasn't been great. But I think we are in real trouble this time. You can't progress very far with 80 year old farts.
@@Office_De_Receiver_Complaints Eh the 1994 Crime Bill is an over exaggerated criticism of Biden. For starters the bill had overwhelming bipartisan support as it was approved with a 90% vote. It also didn’t lead to mass incarceration numbers of black people like people criticize it for. What did end up doing that and hurting black communities greatly were the policy’s put in place during the Reagan/Nixon war on drugs which caused incarceration numbers to skyrocket. Biden was actually advocating that more funding be devoted to outlets for kids and family’s rather than funding for prisons. The 1994 crime bill was kind’ve a compromise to what everyone wanted and it ended up losing support when Republicans didn’t believe the bill had a harsh enough focus on crime. Should Biden be criticized for the bill? Sure. But should people be using it to say that he doesn’t care about black communities and advocated them to all be incarcerated or that he’s racist etc...Absolutely not. I do agree that we need to get younger people in politics across the board though haha

So Dan Quayle passed actually good policy but is on the list for his personal views?
Rumor has it that Dick Cheney invited you to go “deer hunting” in the woods next weekend. Lucky you! 🤣

Therefore, as I sat in the classroom waiting for the Social Studies portion of the test to be passed out, the teacher told us all, “Okay, class, on question 14 when it asks ‘Where did the Founding Fathers get the idea for the Constitution?’, the correct answer is ‘B: The Iroquois Confederacy.’ Yes, I know that isn’t actually the correct answer, and you all know that, too, but that’s the answer the state wants.”
Yes, really, she actually said that.

Mr. Vice President, can you spell the word that you allowed somebody to misspell on June 15th, 1992?

Mr. Beat it’s ok 👍
I admire your restraint in your condemnation of Dick Cheney. I don't think I would be able to curtail my disgust with that power hungry, chicken hawk, war monger.

If Biden or Pence (I know Pence can’t be) was on this list it would be a disaster in the comments section. Good video though
Biden needs to be up there.
@@prairievisionproductions7297 For what?
Neither Biden or Pence were terrible.
Whewww...y'all boys wrong for that. Biden has been rejected 2x for the Presidency in the past. The first time was for outright plagiarism. He inacted the 1994 crime bill, which was a real jewel for African Americans. Now that he's teamed up with Kamala who obviously likes plagiarism and making our black youth suffer too, it's gonna be quite a stumbling bumbling shitshow up there.
Could you compare Edmonton and Calgary, big rivalry there
Would you consider doing a video about the Best and Worst Speakers of the House? A breakdown of the different leadership positions in the House and Senate could also be really interesting as I have no idea what most of them do.
Excellent list. I was surprised by your pick of Cheney only because of how recent he is, but he is more than worthy and I commend your courage. I recall reading a few things about how he voted when he was a Congressman, things like voting against Head Start, against the Equal Rights Amendment, initially against a holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr., against making armor piercing "cop killer" bullets illegal, against sanctions against South Africa during apartheid, against making plastic guns that could slip through metal detectors illegal, against renewing funds for the Clean Air Act, and the list goes on. Granted, he actually was good with LGBT issues, but likely only because his daughter came out as a lesbian, so a perhaps that's even more slimy of him.
My dad always says that it's the second guy in charge who actually does the work
