@OUTLAW NEVADA Dude. No offense to you at all, but a lot of what you just said was wrong.
Grant wasn't a drunkard. In fact, many political opponents tried to spread that rumor to make him seem bad (www.quora.com/What-was-Ulysses-S-Grant-like-in-real-life ,or you could do some further reading if you'd like). From what I've read, he was actually a nice person. He made large efforts to better life for African Americans during the Reconstruction.
(Side note- many historians actually say he was a skilled general, so your comment on that confuses me)
However, it's not fair to say he should be hung- I don't believe he, nor anyone like him, was deserving of such a terrible fate like that solely because of his army-leading and presidential capabilities, especially with his *straight up abusive childhood and lack of self-worth in life.* He ended up dying of throat cancer anyway.

One of my favorite stories about the President's pets is how JFK's dog, Charlie, had a “romance” with Pushinka, which is a direct descendant of Strelka, one of the first living beings that successfully completed an orbital flight, making it back alive, alongside Belka and other animals. Pushinka was a gift from Nikita Khrushchev to JFK back then.
The mentioned puppies that came from that “romance” between Charlie and Pushinka still have descendants to this day.

You missed a lot of key details about some of these animals:
*Blaze Roosevelt attacked Fala, and was euthanized for his misbehavior.
*Tiger Coolidge frequently wandered through Washington DC alone and was always returned to the White House by a good samaritan. Coolidge then started to put a collar on Tiger, who was later presumably stolen and never heard from again.
*Pushinka Kennedy's mother went to space
*George H.W. Bush's dog Millie was the mother of George W. Bush's dog Spot Fetcher.
*Socks Clinton got tons of publicity and deserved more attention in your video
*Halfway across the world, Indians rioted because of George Bush's cat name.

I think people probably take better care of their pets these days, or at least think of their pets as more of a commitment than they did in the past. Like with cats, yeah people in the past enjoyed their company, but they were also largely seen as live-in exterminators who would come and go as they pleased. Whereas nowadays people mostly keep their cats inside and rarely have use for their hunting skills. Also, there's a book about Lincoln's dog called "Abe & Fido" and IIRC, Fido had also been a stray who, even after being adopted by the Lincolns, mostly lived outside and was actually left in Illinois when the family moved to DC.

The story I heard about Quincy Adams' alligator was that the people of Florida had given Lafayette the alligator while he was on his grand "reunion" tour of America. He had no idea what to do with it, but couldn't just abandon it because that could get in the news and make him look bad, so he just gave it to the President to save face. And of course Quincy Adams couldn't turn it down because it was given to him by the famous Revolutionary War hero and that would *also* look bad in the press.

Speaking of Mockingbird I remember reading a historical fiction book call Jefferson’s son. And it was said that one of Thomas Jefferson’s slave/son had caught a mockingbird. But then he regrets catching it, cause to him it symbolizes catching and selling a living being into slavery.
