After reading some of the comments, I tried #2 and it really, truly worked. Outside of doing a terrible job at trimming my bangs, I've never, ever, cut my own hair. I followed the steps as they were explained and I couldn't be happier with the result. For those of you reading this and for comparison purposes, my hair is down to my shoulder blades, fine, and thick. The only amendment I made was that I used an additional hair tie right under my chin, and then a second one further down, like in the tutorial. I don't know if this will be helpful for anyone else but, for me, the hair tie under the chin just helped in keeping a straight line to trim. Also, I didn't use any fancy scissors, just some little ones I had bought years ago at a craft store. Hope this helps!
Same I used regular scissors and it turned out fine ☺️ I parted it down the middle to cut and didn’t wet my hair then redid my side part after done and it looks pretty even!
I just trimmed my hair tonight using this video, and am very happy with the result. :-) I have long, slightly wavy, quite thick hair. I sprayed it with water first to dampen it, as recommended. First I tried the 1st ponytail method - and it worked perfectly for me, but I decided I wanted it to be a little less curved at the back, so I then decided to try the 2nd beard method - and it also worked perfectly for me. :-) My tip for anyone using the methods in this video - regardless of how much you want to trim off, start by just trimming off a very small amount, like half a cm, and check if you like the way it comes out first - if you do like the way it's looking, you can then repeat the method and trim off a bit more. Take your time, and check that you like how it's going as you trim a little bit off each time. Happy trimming everyone. :-)
I have zero experience cutting my own hair. I tried the second option. I tied my hair, took a deep breath and made the cut. It didn't look as perfect. It wasn't as easy or fast. However, it gave me a great starting point. I spent around 2 hours making it even and less rounded. Just finished and I am very happy with the results! Thank you very much for this video ☺️
This is one reason why I'm glad my hair is so curly. It always curls up so there's no need to worry about it being straight across. As long as it's not drastically crooked, no one will notice :D
MrImagayguy atleast we straight hair girls don't have a hard time brushing; however, I still love curly hair and I wish I had curled hair but my friend that has curly hair always complain about her hair.

As someone who gets really anxious about going to the hairdresser's (mainly due to depression), I simply can't thank you enough for this tutorial ❤ I've never cut my own hair before, so I was a bit nervous about how it was gonna turn out. Encouraged by the comments, I went for the 2nd option and I'm so happy with the results! Additionally, I had to use the trimmer to even out the initial cut I did with the scissors (getting the right angle in front of the mirror and doing a straight cut on a whole bunch of hair isn't that easy at first). I'm already looking forward to the next ends trimming session in the comfort of my own house 😊
I used the second option and it looks pretty good! The scissors I have are pretty dull and cheap, so it was pretty difficult for me to cut a straight line, but overall I'm satisfied. With great shears, my haircuts will be perfect! Below are some things I wanted to point out in case anyone has a bunch of questions, like I did, before taking the risk of doing it. I have very fine, thin, super-straight hair. Before this cut, my hair was a straight cut across in the back. I cut my hair when it was damp and it did not look good. I cut my hair again when it was dry and it looked WAY better. I always part my hair on top to the side. I did that side part like I normally would, but parted the back in the middle. Each cut I cut a tiny bit off, maybe 1/2 an inch each cut, just to get the dead ends off. I have really long hair, so I was able to take about an inch off total without it looking like much of a change.
My brother cut the back of my hair for me once, so it would be straight. I had on a striped shirt like hers and he followed the stripe - the stripe wasn't perfectly straight across my back - hair was about an inch longer on one side
Now becoming increasingly clear though that saloms shut not due to a global pandemic, but due to government authoritarianism with a dark agenda. Death rate statistics show no excess deaths. Also, survivable rate for alleged virus 99.7%. Hmmm.
Yes. The best method is the second one. The salons in South Florida are closed here too and money is tight because of lockdown. I am glad I found this video although one thing I would add is just take a small amount off at first. You'd be surprised it's shorter than you realize. Good luck everybody. It turned out well for me🙋
This is the DIY hair cutting video I've found. The one I used to follow was well done and was a good method, but it was labor intensive which discouraged me from trimming my hair as often as would have been advisable. I use the second method demonstrated -- pulling both sides of the hair forward and banding it together. For me it's easier than reaching behind my head. Although I only wear my hair in a braid or in a messy bun, I checked out the back with my hair down and am amazed at how crisp and professional it looks. I'm an older gal and not much interested in beauty videos, but I subscribed to this one to support the darling young woman who made it. Also, while I prefer no background music, hers isn't as obnoxious or distracting as some.
I did the second option and it worked well for me. I'm trying to grow my hair so I only wanted to give it a trim. Covid update : I wanted to give some tips to help. 1. I have fine hair. Dont use this tutorial if you have thick hair. 2. The end tutorial is ideal, if you've got someone, anyone, who can cut your hair and see the back, get them to do it, and find a stripy top to help them get it even. 3. If you have a straight fringe/bangs that need cutting - get sellotape, put it on your skin a couple times to remove some of the stickiness. Then line it up with where you want to trim your dry fringe. Make sure it's straight and that you're lining up the sellotape line with where you want to cut. Then cut along, cutting off the sellotape, and the hair. My mum used to do this for me when I had a fringe as a kid cause I was anxious at the hairdressers and it always worked.
i feel you! i want long hair but I need to trim the tips a bit bc they are so ruined, I can't go to the saloon and I won't let my mom do that since she always chops half of my hair :') hope the second option will work"
I just wanted to cut split ends of my hair and make it look even . I followed step2 and got good results. There was little bit uneven at the back which I was able to even out. It took less than a minute. I did not want to pay 16$ to just have my split ends removed and get even look. It saved money and time . Thanks
If I go to the salon in Europe to have my split ends cut and my hair washed it would cost me € 50 but I never go to the salon again cause they do not respect me and they don't know what a centimeter is and then charge me way too much. Learned to dye and cut my hair myself. I hate hair salons. Maybe in a million years when my hair is in my crack they get to pick it out and cut it hahaha
@@helenarichardits crazy everyone has the same experience with hair salons. - Cut 2cm please Proceed to chop of 1 year worth of hair. Not to mention the heat and mechanical damage they inflict every time.
I actually did this today and it really worked. I did the second option and it's straight when in front and I still have the same curved shape I had before in the back. Thanks so much!
I love this tutorial!!! I did the second option with hair tied in front middle. My hair looks great, and I just saved money and time going to a salon. I feel empowered now with this new and easy to remember technique! Thank you!!!
You must have super fine straight hair. This wouldn't work with thick hair because the pony tail would be too thick, and even bringing half you hair to the front would be too thick, even when wet.
@@ceemartin5624it works for long thick hair with dead ends. My hair is thick, but it’s long so the split ends get thinner and that’s the part I cut off
Okay I'd say the first one didn't end up great, in fact quite horrible. Then I did the second and it looked better, then I did the second again and tried to cut as straight as I could and remembered to keep my head straight (which I forgot the first two times). Keep in mind I only cut little off each time, which I'd recommend as well because in case in goes wrong the first time you're screwed. I can't stress enough to remind you to keep your head straight/keeping your face straight to the mirror as much as you can. This was first time doing it myself and I learned quite a lot from it, so I think next time will be much better. Either way I'm pleased with my result considering it was first time.
I have never in a million years thought I would cut my own hair. But I just tried option 2, and I am SO happy with the results! I did it twice, cutting just a little (about 1 inch) each time. I made sure to part my hair straight down the middle, from the top of my forehead all the way back down to the base of my skull, if that makes sense (I don't know anything about hair/ proper hair terms). I had to use an additional hand-held mirror when doing this in order to get a good view of the back of my head, making sure the part was even all the way down. Then tied one hair tie TIGHTLY underneath my chin, and then tied another one closer to where I would cut the hair. Got my hair damp underneath the second hair tie, slid my fingers down to guide a straight cut, and just cut straight across with a random pair of scissors. Thank you for this video! :)
NICE! I cut my own hair with method #2, and it worked very well! I do have some tips, though. 1. CUT LESS THAN HOW SHORT YOU WANT TO CUT YOUR HAIR! - I cut about 3 inches less than how short I wanted to cut my hair, then seeing it cut successfully, I cut about the length I wanted, this time going about 1/2 an inch less. I decided it looked pretty nice that way, so instead of cutting more I just left it as it was. 2. WARNING! YOU WANT GOOD SCISSORS. - I used normal barber scissors, and they worked great for when I cut the tips, but then as I did the second cut (where my hair was MUCH thicker) it got... difficult. My hair ended up very uneven and choppy-looking. I tried to even it out, and ended up spending 15 minutes trying. I have very *thiccc* hair (and that's with a TRIPLE C, folks. *THICCC* ), and recommend that if you have thick hair you either go to a proper hair cuttery (?) or you use proper scissors. 3. DON'T PANIC. - I started panicking and it made things much worse. The hair started getting even more and more uneven. Then I realized: It's. Just. HAIR. Literally. If I mess up terribly, I could always go to the "hair cuttery" I mentioned earlier. I just had to make sure I didn't pass the length that I didn't want my hair to go any shorter than. Voila. I hope whoever finds this comment buried by other comments finds this helpful. YEET OUT!
for those who said "its not good enough you had someone to help you" did you guys even watch the video? its part two. after she teachs how to cut your own hair with 3 different style, she teachs how to cut SOMEBODY ELSEs hair
I tried option number two, and my hair turned out great. I'm 13 and I love my hair so this was very interesting for me. Lol. I read other comments and it looks like option one isn't very good. If you're in need of a cut, do option number two and you won't be disappointed! hopefully this helps you, and goodluck with your hair!
Just had a go at trimming my split ends. I tried option number one first but it didn't look quite right. slightly uneven. I then tried option two and it came out perfect. No more hairdresser visits for me.
Mary Sarah LOL I just cut my hair at a salon and I regret it bc my layers are really choppy. And my hair is curly, you know it’s bad when it’s curled up and you can tell the choppiness. Imma cut my own hair from now on, and imma keep it one length. Either way, if it’s not entirely even, you won’t be able to notice since it’s curly.
I have done the second option on myself and then also used her directions for cutting my kids hair. My kids hair turns out great as well. Thanks for this video, you’re saving me $
I tried method one and I completely butchered my hair! Luckily I didn't cut the length I wanted off in one go. I managed to get it almost perfect with method 2. Definitely recommend method 2!
This worked so easily and very well. I have thick hair and was trying to get out some of the multitude of layers. I only took a couple inches off (very long hair) but it worked beautifully and I'll definitely be doing this again for regular trims.
Omg! I just cut my own hair! I've never done it before, even as a kid. But option 2 worked great for me to trim off the dead ends before I recolor at home. WOW!
This is the best video. It goes a bit quick for the first two options so had to stop and restart but it totally worked and was incredibly easy. I have waist length hair so I’m nervous of salons as they always cut off too much. Giving me the control through this video got me exactly what I wanted and my hair looks great.
Most terrifying thing I’ve done in a long time...trying to grown my hair long, but the ends needed dealing with...thanks to you I’ve managed to neaten my hair, and I feel very proud of myself...thank you for giving us the courage and ideas for cutting our own hair...really appreciated during this lock down! X😘💐🙋♀️x
This is great and in detail but still simple to understanding. Coming from a cosmetologist this is awesome. Great advice and showing of the angles and what it does. Angles are everything in hair cutting
I love that i came here because of a mental breakdown and the whole comment section is full of people who also came because of a mental breakdown lmaoo
I did the first method. It took me about 60 seconds over my bathroom trash can. My dad double-checked how it looked across the back and said it turned out great. Thank you so much! You saved me the time and energy of going to a haircut place and it turned out really well
I cut my hair in the back with the straight cut tutorial. It works and saves me a ton of money. I agree it is not for thick hair. I have thin hair. Thank you!
When this video was released, this person never thought it would be used for such circumstances other than ppl just not wanting to go to the salon or can't afford it.
Thank you, I cut my own long, ratty hair today, and now it is a shoulder length blunt cut. It looks good! I did exactly as your tutorial instructed. A hairdresser would have taken 45+ minutes to get the same effect and charged me $40.00 + tip. (and) I also saved that 20 minute wait time before I even got to the chair.
quarantine got me down and my hair was in desperate need of a trim. tried option 2 and it worked way better than expected, actually really happy with the results. never thought I would ever cut my hair but now I can't wait to do it again
This video has genuinely just changed my life, i haven't had a hair cut in 3 years because i hate the hair dressesers. Now ive just cut my own hair and it feels fantastic!
I did the second method n it worked perfectly. I've been cutting my own hair for two years now n my hair has been growing dramatically. Mind you my hair never grew long on till I started cutting my own. Just take your time n make sure hair is wet, it stays in place.
So if I want it straight all the way around front to back all I have to do is cut it in the front with the hair ties and then cut it diagonally in the front? Those are the only steps?
Well bless your heart, young lady - I just tried this, (the second option), and not only did it work out, but it actually looks great! I've been growing my hair out for soooo long, but it's so thin and fine that ends were scraggly as heck, and making the whole thing look crappy. Now I have a nice straight cut (I just trimmed a few inches off) and it looks healthy and not terrible again, lol! That second method is a real success 😍
Perfect, thank you soooo much!! Tried the 2. option and it looks like my hair kept its shape. It was rounded before and remained rounded after, just shorter. Very very pleased. 😀😀
@@katiebaumgardner8349 It's hard to say because my hair is so long that there's really no front. 😂😂 By using the second option, it kept it's original shape, so it didn't become straight. ☺
Manu Gmz I believe she is a hairstylest by the words she is using to explain how to cut other peoples hair, as it was how my instructor taught us how to cut hair, so she probably is one anyways. XD
Who cares?? It's just hair and it grows fast. Not many people have the luxury of paying $60 every month or so for a haircut. If you're someone like me who just likes to throw my hair in a ponytail, this method works perfectly and saves me money.
Thank you! I just did the second option on myself and it came out so nice! It was a little tough for me to use my fingers as a guide though, so I used a styling clip to hold my hair in place and used that as my guide. I was nervous so i only took about an inch off, but be hair is already on the shorter side, so it did make a big difference. Thank you so much for the tips!!!
I tried method #2 and this is my ultimate go 2 trimming method. I have showed many other girls how to do this they have all had positive results. So easy and quick and free. Thanks for ur video
No actually, she showed you 2 options on how to cut your hair and then she went the extra step and showed how to cut someone else's hair. She could have stopped the video after the 2 steps, but she didn't, she actually put some effort into it.
Used number 2, worked like a charm. I have very VERY thick wavy hair and it still turned out fine. It was waist length and I cut it to Shoulder length. Just make sure to be precise and don't use dull scissors, the duller the blade the more jagged your cut will be. Good luck!
I followed your instructions and they worked perfectly! I'm so happy. I used my conditioner to sleek my hair.. I was so tired of walking out of hair salons that cut too much off. Thank you!
#2 is fantastic! So easy, such great results. Love the slightly rounded shape in the back. My hair is straight and down to my tailbone (I used four hair ties). I've seen the first option in other tutorials and used it successfully, but your #2 is now my go-to!
I had a bit spliss so I decided to cut it just a bit. Method 2 worked perfectly! I didn’t even had to clean some parts up cause it looked fantastic and it was my first try. Definitely my favourite method! If y’all want to cut your hair then try method 2 cause it worked soooo good💁🏼💕👌🏼
I followed her instructions and successfully took off around 8 inches of Covid-Shutdown length from my hair. Woohoo! I used my Tim Holtz Non-Stick Titanium Craft Scissors, and yes, they can be used to cut hair. I never tried cutting my own hair before or anyone else's. The cut looks great! Thank you for this fantastic and easy-to-follow video!
oh gosh this saved my life! I was at hairstylist today and it was a mess, when I came home and saw that one side of my hair was longer than the other one (didn't notice before) I wanted to cry, so thanks for saving my hair! ❤️
I tried version 2 just now and it came out ok...I've noticed that you need to use that special scissors, which is really thin. My hair is thick and I had to cut many times with my own regular scissors, until it got out straight. I've cut the hair with the top of the scissors and then kept stretching it and analyzing it from different directions and angles, moving my fingers on the tail to make sure it is straight. And it also depends on which type of cut you had before (mine was straight, so it was much easier to compare). It does work, but there are many factors involved. I would recommend you to cut 2 cm (almost 1 inch) for the beginning, because it's not as easy as it looks.
Yay!! I have long hair and I’ve often trim it myself. Using your technique with the three bands worked fantastic! Thank you so much! You saved me 50+ dollars and probably a lot of heartache because I’m never happy after I go to the beautician. ❤❤❤
Thank you so VERY much for this video!! It was so well explained and easy to follow and best of all I absolutely appreciated that you showed option 1 and 2 and explained the difference because I wanted to know and see the difference so I could choose the best method for me - Option 2 is my favorite since I prefer a blunt but not so rounded cut and it's so easy to do so now I know to use this method! I can't wait to give myself cuts from now on and never have to rely on anyone else to do it for me again 😊
Thank you! I did 1 and 2. I wanted a straight cut and now my hair looks sooooo much better! Now I have to get the courage to do my bangs and I’m all good. 🙂
I tried the 2nd method and it turned out great, I'm so happy! I have super long hair so I kind of combined method 1 and 2. I tied it in the front then added a second tie closer to the bottom, like in the first method.
Thank you for this video, I refer to it everytime I cut my hair now, and it is really useful and has and will continue to save me alot of time and money. x
You saved me $40 and it looks better than when I pay a stylist. I’ve been so let down for the past years. No matter who cut it or where I went, they cut my hair with point cutting and it ends up looking jagged and terrible with different lengths. I begged them to not texturize my hair and cut it blunt straight and they never did what I asked!! Now I will do it myself and do it the way I want. Thank you so much
I need to thank you so much I was so nervous I was going to screw up my hair but this not only made me feel more confident but I cut my hair really nicely because of this video! my hair feels so much healthier now!!
I have old kitchen scissors, a spray bottle and a hair tie. Everything tells me this is a great idea.
Oh my God you made me laugh 😂🤣😂

Oh noo haha
sorry this made me laugh

Thanks
Same! My hair looked amazing afterward.
@@helenarichard same here. They dont know when to stop cutting
@@helenarichardits crazy everyone has the same experience with hair salons.
- Cut 2cm please
Proceed to chop of 1 year worth of hair.
Not to mention the heat and mechanical damage they inflict every time.
16??? WOW, i wish i could pay so little! They ask me 65-70 because I have long hair even if i just ask for a litlle trim... :(
I actually did this today and it really worked. I did the second option and it's straight when in front and I still have the same curved shape I had before in the back. Thanks so much!
I tried 2nd method and was successful in cutting my hair. thanks!
Me too, was soo easy!
I just did it and I'm amazed at how simple it was.
Same
Oh my God your nife
Me too, it was easy.
My hair is thick, but it’s long so the split ends get thinner and that’s the part I cut off
Worked great with me too!
Sis sacrificed her whole hair for us
Okay I'd say the first one didn't end up great, in fact quite horrible.
YEET OUT!
Maybe doing it in sections would help with the scissor issue on the thicker hair? Anyway thanks for the advice :)
for those who said "its not good enough you had someone to help you" did you guys even watch the video? its part two. after she teachs how to cut your own hair with 3 different style, she teachs how to cut SOMEBODY ELSEs hair
True, but to fair the title of the video is "How to cut your own hair" not somebody elses hair
hahahahhahaha BURNED!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Bethany got a point!
@@masterjericho8399 she basically did what most youtubers do. They dont only stick to what the title says.

I tried option number two, and my hair turned out great. I'm 13 and I love my hair so this was very interesting for me. Lol. I read other comments and it looks like option one isn't very good. If you're in need of a cut, do option number two and you won't be disappointed! hopefully this helps you, and goodluck with your hair!
landofchristina is number 2 straight in the back?
watched abt 30 seconds of the video then chopped my hair😀
do recommend
rate: 10/10
....how can u do it so quickly
Same lmao
DO NOT DO THE 2ND OPTION ON THICK HAIR MINE ENDED UN EVEN
Have been doing second option for years.. works well when you're trying to grow out your hair and just need to cut off split ends
Done option 2 for like 2 years now. Never go to the salon again get easier every time!
Does it come out even and straight for trimming ends?
I have done the second option on myself and then also used her directions for cutting my kids hair. My kids hair turns out great as well. Thanks for this video, you’re saving me $
i’m having a mental breakdown and i’m in quarentine and no one will see me for a month
jessenia lema same lol
yOu bEtTeR sToP i did it.
jessenia lema i did it yesterday but i’m gonna do it again tonight lmfao
yOu bEtTeR sToP girl let’s be friends
jessenia lema bet
I tried method one and I completely butchered my hair! Luckily I didn't cut the length I wanted off in one go. I managed to get it almost perfect with method 2. Definitely recommend method 2!
Is the rubber band one the second one?
It's the one that starts at 0:48
Tara
Thank you! I tried it and worked for me as well.. although i had to comb it quite a few times because my hair is naturally wavy ^^
I did it too and it fucked up my hair. It made it uneven.
C. Mihaela Which one messed your hair up? Method 1 or method 2?
I'm tempted to try method 2 but I'm scared lol
Love this, I book marked this last year and go back to it every time I cut my hair. It's saved me a small fortune at the rip-off hair salons
This worked so easily and very well. I have thick hair and was trying to get out some of the multitude of layers. I only took a couple inches off (very long hair) but it worked beautifully and I'll definitely be doing this again for regular trims.
I looked at several videos about cutting your own hair. This one is the best.
Fyi: the second method works. I have 2a wavy hair of medium thickness. Got rid of my split ends👍
Your comment made mw cut mine since i have the same type. It's still wet i hope it's okay when it dried.
This method worked good for my daughters
Omg! I just cut my own hair! I've never done it before, even as a kid. But option 2 worked great for me to trim off the dead ends before I recolor at home. WOW!
I tried method 2 and it worked great! The results are very straight, just like I wanted.
I am in quarantine, in the middle of an OUTBREAK!. I have enough time to ruin my hair.
Me 2
zeynep B 😂😂😂 good one 👍
Got plenty of time for it to grow back
😂😂😂😂
A year later.....eveything is the same..
I tried the second option and it works!!
Edit: It was my first time trying to cut my own hair.
does it end up as a V shape or an U shape?
Close to a U shape, but please note that I have curly hair.
Just used the 2nd method and I'm really happy with how it looks! Super straight and round at the back.
I just cut 4 inches of split ends off my hair
It feels so much more healthier
MamaMiahhh Awesome!!
U do u, beauty!
Im about to do that, but I'm not sure if I should cut it straight or in long layers, wish me good luck!
old lady j how did it go?
Thank you, I cut my own long, ratty hair today, and now it is a shoulder length blunt cut. It looks good! I did exactly as your tutorial instructed. A hairdresser would have taken 45+ minutes to get the same effect and charged me $40.00 + tip. (and) I also saved that 20 minute wait time before I even got to the chair.
ouch, damn good way to roast the barbers in this world.. jesus christ their bad for wanting to do it correctly... hollyyyy
I did the second option and I am very pleased ! Thank you so much for posting this video 😊
Bruh that smiling is creepy af
Google User it was more idiotic looking to me than creepy.
Nah she cute af
The Problem yea! She’s cute! Her smile makes the video happy! Lol
No you dimwit .... She is beautiful and every smile is amazing
No no no. . . . She's got a punchable face
quarantine got me down and my hair was in desperate need of a trim. tried option 2 and it worked way better than expected, actually really happy with the results. never thought I would ever cut my hair but now I can't wait to do it again
I trimmed my hair and I did good too it became even and straight and I liked it
This video has genuinely just changed my life, i haven't had a hair cut in 3 years because i hate the hair dressesers. Now ive just cut my own hair and it feels fantastic!
directions not clear, i ended up with shaving my head smh pls help

Idc if this is real or not it made me laugh
U did what!?!😳(pls tell me this is fake so I dont feel bad)
Chloe's Chocolate lmaooo it’s fake but it turned out so bad and not how i wanted it so i just cut my hair horizontally
I did the second method n it worked perfectly. I've been cutting my own hair for two years now n my hair has been growing dramatically. Mind you my hair never grew long on till I started cutting my own. Just take your time n make sure hair is wet, it stays in place.
What is the second method?
@@katiebaumgardner8349 sorry 2nd option 50 seconds into the video
So if I want it straight all the way around front to back all I have to do is cut it in the front with the hair ties and then cut it diagonally in the front? Those are the only steps?
Also how do you know how to cut it diagonally? Is there a certain method or anything I need to do?
@@katiebaumgardner8349 this cut will give your hair a slight V shape cut. Not straight across..hope this help.
Just trimmed my own hair using your tips (something I’ve never done before and it came out fantasticly!! Will be doing this from now on!!
I recommend The method at 1:15 due to firsthand experience. I just did it and it came out so EVEN!
Perfect, thank you soooo much!! Tried the 2. option and it looks like my hair kept its shape. It was rounded before and remained rounded after, just shorter. Very very pleased. 😀😀
So it's not all one length from front to back?
@@katiebaumgardner8349 It's hard to say because my hair is so long that there's really no front. 😂😂 By using the second option, it kept it's original shape, so it didn't become straight. ☺
i tried the second option and i like it very much! thanks💞
I was searching the comment section to see if anyone tried the 2nd option.. im gonna go for it!
I did this and now I have no hair left :')

Same 😭😢😢😭

Finally, some truth!
I just tried this and did method 2.. I'm not dissapointed!!! Pretty good result. I have thick wavy hair.
You can still hear echoes from hairstylists around the world: "Nooo....nooo...nooo" ;))
Manu Gmz I believe she is a hairstylest by the words she is using to explain how to cut other peoples hair, as it was how my instructor taught us how to cut hair, so she probably is one anyways. XD
Because words make you a hairstylist.
Her elbow is down making her line off in the back. She doesn’t look like a hair stylist to me.
Who cares?? It's just hair and it grows fast. Not many people have the luxury of paying $60 every month or so for a haircut. If you're someone like me who just likes to throw my hair in a ponytail, this method works perfectly and saves me money.
That's because they want to lose business.
You didn't really do it yourself though, someone came and finished cutting it and evening it out for you.
No actually, she showed you 2 options on how to cut your hair and then she went the extra step and showed how to cut someone else's hair. She could have stopped the video after the 2 steps, but she didn't, she actually put some effort into it.
Well all together she showed us 4 ways. 2 round ways, 1 straight across and how to cut someone else's...

Oh hi again some people don’t like even hair and some people have layers
Used number 2, worked like a charm. I have very VERY thick wavy hair and it still turned out fine. It was waist length and I cut it to Shoulder length. Just make sure to be precise and don't use dull scissors, the duller the blade the more jagged your cut will be. Good luck!
Second method worked so so well for me thank you so much for making it so simple !! Don’t think I’ll ever pay for a hair cut again
I survived the 1st wave without ruining my hair but this 2nd wave got me.
same 😂
This was simple, accurate and gave me the confidence I needed! My hair turned out great! ❤️🙏🏼
I followed your instructions and they worked perfectly! I'm so happy. I used my conditioner to sleek my hair.. I was so tired of walking out of hair salons that cut too much off. Thank you!
I know me too they cut so much in al different directions
#2 is fantastic! So easy, such great results. Love the slightly rounded shape in the back. My hair is straight and down to my tailbone (I used four hair ties). I've seen the first option in other tutorials and used it successfully, but your #2 is now my go-to!
Wish I had of watched this 10 minutes ago...
Loving Life 😂🤣😂🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hahahah oof so sorrry xD
I FEEL BAD FOR LAUGHING BUT THIS IS SO FUNNY LOL
I went with option 2 and I love it ! Make sure your hair is damp and you part it down the middle even in the back . So happy !:)
i dont want straight hair im gay

Ana Banana lmaooooo
I like you
Ana Banana same tho lmao
Ana Banana it doesnt work i tried it on one of my old dolls her hair was a mess
After read the comment, I am going to try the method 2.
How did it turn out?
Hi
Option 2 has always worked for me! Thanks so much!
Salons are closed and we're on lockdown and I hate my hair rn so here I am..
That Is The Same Thing That Happened To Me Which Method Did You Use?

Just cut 3 inches off!! Saved $20! Thanks!!!
